so... today during my lunch break I went to get a tire fixed that has had a slow leak. I stopped in at a semi truck tire shop near work that myself and co-workers have used to get tires patched in the past.

They said they could get me right in. They did and as I'm waiting the guy comes out from the shop and asked who has the green Chevy. He then proceeds to tell me that the lug nuts are so tight that he could only break 2 of the 6 loose with his pneumatic wrench that has 500 ft/lbs torque in reverse. He starts proposing all kinds of options to fix the tire without taking the wheel off the truck, but I didn't have time and really didn't want him tearing up my aftermarket rims or my new paint so I told him thanks, but I'd just take it back to the store that put the tires on a few months ago... if they overtightened the wheels, then it could be their problem.

I'm thinking if a tire shop that specializes in semi tires and has probably had to deal with overtightened lug nuts once or twice before can't get them loose, they must be pretty darn tight. By then I was just fuming and ready to lay into somebody, but thankfully I decided to wait and make the phone call to the other store until I got home.

I parked the truck in the driveway, got my lug wrench out and broke every lug nut on the truck loose by hand.:rolleyes1

So much for your fancy schmancy 500 ft/lb pneumatic impact wrench pal. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

My son had a busy day today, Today he graduated kindergarten, and this afternoon he received his red belt in karate, one more belt to go till black:banana:

We had a Tball game tonight but once again it was cancelled due to all the rain lately, the fields are a mud pit:rolleyes1, hope he gets to play soon since more games have been cancelled then played:confused3

Oh yeah as of last fri he is now officially a Cub Scout:thumbsup2

The Pirate Princess is now officially a high school graduate. Long but satisfying day. Very proud of her.

Before presenting the diplomas, her IB Magnet Lead Teacher rattled off some of the statistics these graduates had completed to get through the program. One that struck me was they had 30 hours of testing for their IB finals. The other graduates at the school spent around 8-10 hours of testing for their finals.

A few pictures (of course)

The “Boy who Dared” would be on the far right I suspect? Just checking.
If I were to see “Chum’s” face show up on a milk carton in the near future…
I’d remember that I’d never see that one before in my life.

Nope officer… never seen him. Don’t know nothin’ about it.

Congrats again CJ!

Morning everyone...

Apparently I took in a lot of dust cleaning /setiing up the new air conditioner yesterday, can barely breathe today, and coughing all night to the point where my body aches :headache: Going to be a looong day methinks :rotfl2: Would have called in sick, but this should be transfer day, where they announce the upcomming transfers. :rolleyes1 I want to be there for that. I am leaving a bit early though, as we have a Kindergarten orientation meeting tonight for Audrey.

Have a great day guys!

Congrats to you CJ, but even more importantly congrats to the Pirate Princess! That is quite a milestone and you have a lot to be proud of. I wish her the same success as she goes on to Seton Hall.

Congrats Pirate Princess Crash Camera Dropper...
Poor girl is going to have more nicknames than she'll ever care to have by the time she gets out of Seton Hall.:sad2::lmao:

Morning guys,

another brisk morning here in Northern VA. Hoping to get out of here soon and start driving back towards North Carolina before the traffic starts to suck. One more day until Friday.

Could you see yourself going to a Chicago dining establishment and asking for a Mike Kafka or a Darnell Autry??? :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:
Every burger in Chicago would be called the Ditka burger. There's no debating that.
