A little blurry, but from one of my favorite restaurants at WDW

I can't wait to go back and get new pics with my new camera... it takes much better action shots!

Are you trying to get this thread banned :scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1: j/k

We ate there a few years back during free dining because everything else was booked up and were very pleasantly surprised with our meal. The only slight issue was that music was a little loud, but it wasn't unbearable.

So here's a fun little bit of trivia (which of course will change with this post) :rotfl: But as of THIS count that I just pulled, my post count on THIS thread matches my DDC number. I'm #86. :) Silly I know, but it just make me chuckle. And look at my nemesis... way down there at 1. C'mon Nate - where are you?

I googled "Noon at Chef Mickey's" a few days ago, and I wouldn't post what I found with safe search off. :lmao:

It's amazing how an innocent search can go awry. Google picture searches can bring up some interesting items even on what should be safe topics.

A few things....

One, you guys are cracking me up (in this thread and reading through others)...
Two, I am browsing through the DVC stuff they sent me... Pretty.... Drool....
Three, anyone else take a snapshot of their TSMM or Buzz Lightyear scores JUST to gloat about beating your ride partner on facebook? I feel bad for a split second, then I come to my senses and gloat some more....

Whew... morning chores are almost done. Now just to grab some groceries and Costco. What are the other DisDads who aren't running this morning/afternoon up to?

I chatted with Nate briefly on Friday. He's had a rough last few weeks - one of his sons had a health issue that started right around Christmas. I expect we'll see him back around here soon, once he's gotten caught back up a bit on life.

We each ride with one of the girls, and while I beat DW soundly, she kicked me in TSM so we're even.....for now

Not sure yet the plans, still sort of sitting around. When DW comes back from the salon, we'll figure something out.:confused3

I've been tempted. But usually, my ride partner is either 5 years old or 9 years old, so it's really not a fair competition. And neither of them have Facebook accounts, so they're not likely to see the taunt. :sad2:

On the plus side, no chance of witty comebacks or excuses! :rotfl2:

Ownage.

Oh I love my girls, it doesn't matter if there is no boys. The only slight concern is that essentialy, the Kee family name ends with my brother and I unless any of the girls are non-traditional (he has all girls too), but no huge loss really.

DW is pretty good around DHS, but not AK, but I thinkit;s the one park we spend the less time in so not too accustomed to it like the others

I don't have any brothers, but lots of cousins to carry on the name. But, I really don't care much about all that. I did hope to have someone I could teach sports too, and that is my youngest daughter. She won't get a super sports contract, but it was never about that.

There is a Dis Dad sticky here in our subforum. I and several others are members. Feel free to ask questions there as well.

just paid my dvc dues this morning. $1993.
add that plus my orig. investment it comes to $2800.00 per year.
with that i get 2 trips per year a total of 20 nights per year. :thumbsup2
its never to late to start, the prices of rooms only keeps going up. :thumbsup2

The buy in is a whole lot higher now, not as many perks, and fewer points to stay at OKW. I enjoy my DVC and dues are a lot lower at BLT, but I don't have enough points to stay there twice a year if 1 is in a 1 BR.

If you need a travel caddy - someone one carry your bags between attractions, I am more then happy to help.

Those were the days when the DDP actually made sense, and was good. It has slipped so much over the years, with the price just continuing to spike. Not good. We LOVED it then... not anymore. We're definitely TIW people now.

I don't care for the revised QSDP for 2012. Taking away the 2nd snack just stinks. It's not really a value anymore. I could make the QS plan work really well - not so much now.

They are giving the DDP away free way to much now - that has to have factored into why they are cutting it back.

I know that Disney wants to make money, but taking these little things away is just irritating. I can't imagine they were NOT profitable before.

True they are - but no couch. They're fine for a couple of nights, but when you['re used to going and hanging out, enjoying the resort as much as the theme parks - especially for those afternoon naps that Dave really loves - I'm sure the space is important to them.

I went last year (now there's a surprise), and at nearly the last minute had a change in the traveling party. The friend that I had invited along had to cancel out. I had reserved a 1 bedroom - I'd have the bed, and he'd have the couch in the living room, and the trip ended up being just me. Call it crazy, but I enjoyed that 1 BR by myself even. Sure it was more points than I "should" have used for just me, but it was literally within 7 days of the trip and no way to change it then without completely losing big time on the deal. DW and I went down there for our anniversary 2 years ago, and we did a
studio. She complained, missing the extra space. I can see us using 1 BR's after the kids are gone and it's just us traveling.

We did a 1 BR at SSR near Paddock and it was great. The jacuzzi was a novelty, but those king size beds, laundry in room, and the space was terrific. But, I don't have enough points for that.

Either that or Kellogg's called and complained they couldn't keep up with the rice crispy production to keep up with the late week demand for Mickey rice crispy treats.

THANKS GUYS!!!

tammy got into my "ride count sheet" :lmao:
since 1994, i have been keeping track of what attractions we went on, how many times etc....

here is something to shake your head over :sad2:

she has gotten back to may of 2004 so far:

since may 2004.... 21 trips......186 nights on property, most at okw

top three rides in the mk only:

buzz light year 44 times
people mover 43 times
pirates of the car 33 times

i think we better see a doctor!

Very nice Dave...

For me, it's lots of rides on Splash Mountain. Last year me and my son went on it at least 7 times in 1 week.

I told my friends that all the time I waste playing CoD and BF would eventually pay off...

Gaming is NEVER a waste of time :lmao:

There were times Dad says that to me and my brother too :rotfl2:

The sports thing wasn't ever an issue, I love hockey, but could never get the hang of skating. All of the sports my dad did are definately NOT mainstream sports, both he got into for my grandfather, his FIL, like lawn bowling, curling etc. I might get Amelia to try golf, which I did play semi-regularily until I couldn;t afford it (right when Audrey came around).

As or the contract thing, sadly I think my sister and BIL are trying to achieve that with my nephew. He is a MONSTER (13 years old, 6'2 so far) and is good at sports, an they've put him in everything till they narrowed on baseball and hockey, hoping he'll go far :sad2: He'd rather chill with friends and act cool :sad2:
