:rotfl2: How very, very true!

Happy Birthday to Matthew!

party::
Yep - they're playing the new Zelda game now... Skyward Sword. And oh man, will he be freaked out when he opens his gift from DW & I - we got him a 3DS... what he's been wanting since they came out, what a year ago or whatever. EVERY single time we go into Best Buy, he races to the back and the demo model to play while we shop. He's gonna be pumped.
Getting ready to take him out to lunch - waiting on the DW to finish her shower... so I thought I'd pop in here for a bit.

And it’s nice to see you all happy-chatty again.
We’ve missed you around here on a regular basis.

Why thank you Rob. It was fun to be back. I'm not sure how regular it will be, but it's nice to start settling down a little bit after the crazy-ness of the past 9 months or more.

(Time to up the post counts again?)

Nahhhhh..... but just for you - on this one, I'm multi-quoting. :rotfl:

Good cover, but…
I’m with Andy on this one.

But I’m turning green with envy just thinking about it.

You can be with Andy all you want... but it doesn't change anything.

And good. Neener neener. :cool2: :lmao:

Oooooooooooo…

Perrrrrr-ty!

Here's another one or two - just for you!

It's altogether ooky!

Mysterious and kooky!

I agree! :thumbsup2 Just wish I could get a 40% pin and free dining! :rotfl2:

Wouldn't that just be awesome... keep dreamin... this is Disney afterall.

I loved DisneySea! The theming was very unique.

If you need someone to be a tour guide, let me know :thumbsup2

Will do! I'm considering a jaunt this summer or early fall.

Can you get me in to their Club 33? I have a friend who went to TDL back in the early 90's and got to go in, and just raved after she got back to CA. Another friend went in the early 00's, but wasn't able to get in. He still raved about the trip. It's been on my bucket list for years. I'm really hoping that it can happen this year. But I have to see how a few other things come together first before planning in earnest.

Hmmmm, sorry wasn't trying to step on toes.

No problem at all!! Really. It was a lot of fun but I haven't been on in months.. It takes a lot of attention and trying to get these guys to post without advertising was hard. Maybe we could get yours posted as "sticky" so that it is easy to find. I will give you the links so that you can post the ones I have already would be awesome! There are a lot of really great photos there and it would be a shame for them to disappear into Disboard land!

Hello everyone! Haven't been on in a very long time!!

But I wanted to voice my opinion on the new dining plan pricing!! Gaaaaaaah!

I have been pricing out my family of three teens and two adults and impulsively booked the grand Floridian, two rooms deluxe dining and park tickets with hopper. I then sat around thinking about the price. Gaaaaah! Broke out the ole calculator and a piece of paper. (I know, I know, primitive) Priced out each item then realised I am paying $3580.80 so that we can eat for 8 days! That's at least 2 months of food in in my house! The price per person... $89.52! I am not going to spend $90 in food a day per person, with "anti-table service" teens. The average cost of a table service meal is $30 per person along with at least an hour waiting and eating in said restaraunts. In my opinion soo not worth the $$$$$. I spoke with my wife and this is what we came up with.

Bay lake tower 1 bd villa, 8 day park hopper, regular dining $9217.30

What I had booked
Two rooms grand floridian 8 day park hopper, deluxe dining $13025.80

I switched to bay lake tower and changed to regular dining saving almost $4000! That is a lot if cash. The difference in price for the dining plan is $1538.20!

Come on really??? Is Disney trying to justify eliminating the dining plan due to lack of people purchasing the plan? They really should get rid of the "save up to" statement in their description.

I really had a hard time convincing the wife to allow me to switch from deluxe dining to the regular dining (although at $51.07 per person per day is not saving either. She likes the peace of mind of having the food paid for) I think that is what they are betting on.
END OF RANT!!

Bay lake towers benefits 1 bd villa

800 sq ft
On the monorail
Fairly new
Full kitchen I love the normal size fridge and the full size coffee pot!
Two bathrooms
Separate bedroom
Exclusive pool with slide
They say you can walk to MK (we have done it and I find it to be a LOOONG walk at the end of a LOOONG day)

What is your opinion on all or some of this?:thumbsup2
Carl, first off, you aren't DVC? Spending that kind of money per year (?) on Disney trips it seems like DVC would be right up your alley. I remember a few threads back Stopher & a few other people had a long discussion about DVC. I would think you would make out in a BIG way if you went that route.

I think you made a smart move moving to BLT and dropping down to the regular DDP. BUT what if you bought yourself an AP then bought the TIW card? I bet you would save even more $. Plus you aren't locked in to food that a)won't equal the DDP cost b) dessert that you don't want to eat c) the flexibility to order what you want off the menu

If your kids are going to eat CS meals you'll be throwing away their TS credits.

So glad I am done with that!! :cool1:Now it's grand babies. But I can put them away when I am done playing with em!!:rotfl2:
LOL :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I checked both google.ca and google.com

:confused3
Maybe you need to clear your cache?

Folks, I was just looking at page 1 - and notice very few DISDad's vacations booked for 2012.

Reminder to let Emma's Dad know when you are travelling and get the list growing.
