Every year on Christmas Eve, my dad would take my brother and I into town to look at the Christmas lights. And darned if every year, while we were gone, Santa came to our house! What are the odds! Well, since the gifts were already there, we were allowed to open them. Conveniently, the next morning, there wasn't a new pile of presents under the tree, and thus nothing stopping us from heading right out to the barn and milking the cows. :headache:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Awesome... :thumbsup2

Actually, the best part was hearing them all tell us what an inspiration and help he has been to the other kids who receive special ed services. Got pretty dusty in that meeting for awhile...

Spheroids are one of the 10 naughtiest shapes. Consider yourself lucky, if it were an isosceles trapezoid you could have been fired.

I always wondered how SC made the rounds within 1 night, this helps explain that he just took advantage of opportunistic scheduling.

He'll never admit it, but I think he outsources.

DW family wants us to come north all of the time, but they do not come to Indy to visit. I have tried telling them that the road runs both ways and it is an awesome invention :lmao:

We are staying home this year. We skyped them the other day and they were laying the guilt on her pretty heavily. I spoke up and told them their tradition involves fighting among each other and that we prefer a peaceful time where we can reflect on the meaning of the season. Crickets after that. I hate to see my wife stressed so I have a hard time keeping my big Italian mouth shut :confused3

Yeah, I hate to see her stressed as well. I think it's a woman thing. Family is family regardless of how they behave. Case in point ...

I get to see the BIL on Christmas Eve - the one who received $1000 cash from his mom, dad, grandmom, and MIL for Christmas presents (because he forgot to save money for his children again) and submitted his family's name to his church and school because they don't have any Christmas present. There are only so many euphemisms for bum I can say.

But, I am very blessed and if I only have to put up with cousin Eddie a few days a year, then I just need to deal with it.

They vary, based on his bragging when everyone is together. He brags about how hard he works and how much money he makes. I called him a ponzi the last time he was bragging, but he's too stupid to get it so it worked well.

:welcome:

PPT went very well. DS is top of his class academically & making great strides socially & with executive functioning (but thank God for his para!).

Stopping at Chipotle on the way back to work. Don't tell DW...

Thanks for finding that quote, Mark!

Good for him.

They were showing The Princess Bride at one of the local theatre's last night. I would have liked to go see it, but instead we opted to drive around and listen to the kids fight in the back seat while we look at Christmas lights. Those things always seem to work better in theory than in actual execution.

Amen to that.

Nice pic. One of the things I miss about living in NY is Holliday time. Getting snow was a plus. But then again, I didn't have to shovel or drive in it. Weather here today, sunny low 69, high 81. Beautiful day.

How about idler, loafer, slacker, good-for-nothing, ne'er-do-well, layabout, lounger, shirker or loser for starters?

My turn to brag. The Pirate Princess ran her long run today (10 miles) and survived. When she got home there was an acceptance letter from St. John's. First school she heard from. She greeted me with the letter and said, "I'm going to college!" Not that there was any doubt in my mind.

Had a nice long lunch with a college buddy of mine. All in all a good day here.

Hello all,
My name is Chris. I'm a father of three DS(7), DD(4) and DD(2). Happily married to my wife for eleven years. I am a Disney addict. We go twice a year with an upcoming WDW and DCL trip in January. It seems I'm always planning a trip and indoctrinate my children daily by having them watch the WDW parades on youtube. I'd love to be a member of the DisDad's as I identify with the majority of your criteria.:wizard:

Hi Chris! Welcome! You are member # 669! :thumbsup2

New to the threads. Just thought I would say hi and am looking forward to reading and getting involved in the discussions on here.

Welcome!! You are member # 670! :thumbsup2

Well,
I have been peeping in the window of the Dis D house for a while now, and figured I would become a member.

My next trip will be in May but this time just the wife and I will be going, the DS 2y when we go will be staying with the grandparents. And Jasmine's Kiss, I found out it will be during a Star Wars weekend. :cool1:

Hi there, Peeper! :lmao: You are member # 671! :thumbsup2

:welcome: WELCOME TO THE DIS DAD'S CLUB! :welcome:

You have been added to the DIS Dad's Club list :thumbsup2

who ever did it, had about a 40 foot run of 14/2 romex, wire nutted into a k&t line in the attick of the house. from what is left, about every 3 feet, he took a brad and nailed it through the insolation of the romex. :scared1: the people renting the place had a window a/c plugged into the recept. this line fed. they said at the end of summer, it was popping the breaker and they had to keep resetting it. :confused3 well, last month it must of rubbed completely through and that was it. thank god nobody was hurt!!! most of the fire was in the attick but water, smoke damage, they gutted the place.

 I guess I should go take those 10d nails out of my wiring then... :rolleyes1

Welcome to the club! I see that in your lurkdom you've picked up some of the local vernacular. Nice Job. :thumbsup2
It's nice that Santa scheduled around the cows.

I'm sitting in my office in shorts and a t-shirt (just got back from my run.) Thanks for the gracious offer, but you can keep the snow for the moment. Save some though, it'd be really popular in June.

It's keeping with the spirit of the season are "figgie pudding head" and "dreideled brain" on your list?

Dude it's totally not a Ponzi scheme, this is the "golden trapazoid". I'd include a picture but I know ho offensive shapes can be.

No he's not my secret disdad.... I just have a friend who has family from Wisconsin.

Glad you liked your gift Chris!

Paul, because I like you, I'll let you in an a little secret of mine. I like Sausages better than Bacon. :scared1: I know, I know. :lmao: But we do have a freezer FULL of Sausages! :rotfl2:

I'm good with that! :thumbsup2

Sausage Enterprise anyone?

Anyone remember that Simpsons episode where Homer says (laughing), Sure Lisa, there's one Ma-gi-cal animal where you get ham, bacon & sausage.

Yup! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
