Do any of you guys have to travel to family for Christmas or are you spending it in your own homes??? Thankfully our families are all close by here.
!

We've tried it all the ways. When we were first married, we drove everywhere - cities about 2 hours apart - like the movie 4 Christmases, except it involved grandparents. DW has divorced parents, so her dad always does Christmas Eve with his family. So, it has always been a constant that we drive to FIL's sister's house on Christmas Eve. We have tried having both outlaws, I mean inlaws at our house on Christmas day for lunch and they all went to separate rooms and pouted. So, this year, I took my dds to Louisville yesterday to visit my Aunt in AM, lunch at Cheesecake Factory, and parents in PM. Christmas Eve at FIL's niece's house now, and then we are together on Christmas day. I have tried to accommodate them all, but they won't try. I'm hoping that after a decade, our family will have an enjoyable Christmas day.

Anyone remember that Simpsons episode where Homer says (laughing), Sure Lisa, there's one Ma-gi-cal animal where you get ham, bacon & sausage.

One of the best quotes ever!

"Lisa, you won't eat any meat? Not even ham?"
"No!"
"Pork?"
"No!"
"Not even bacon??"
"Dad, those all come from the same animal!"

(laughs) "Right, Lisa. This wonderful, magical animal..." :rotfl2:

DW family wants us to come north all of the time, but they do not come to Indy to visit. I have tried telling them that the road runs both ways and it is an awesome invention :lmao:

We are staying home this year. We skyped them the other day and they were laying the guilt on her pretty heavily. I spoke up and told them their tradition involves fighting among each other and that we prefer a peaceful time where we can reflect on the meaning of the season. Crickets after that. I hate to see my wife stressed so I have a hard time keeping my big Italian mouth shut :confused3

Paul, because I like you, I'll let you in an a little secret of mine. I like Sausages better than Bacon. :scared1: I know, I know. :lmao: But we do have a freezer FULL of Sausages! :rotfl2:

Are they bacon wrapped sausages?

Wouldn’t’ dream of it.

It wasn’t Randall I was taking to task… it was my Emplo… Here, let Randall explain it better for me.

No, it will take to long to explain.... let me sum up.

Well,
I have been peeping in the window of the Dis D house for a while now, and figured I would become a member.

My next trip will be in May but this time just the wife and I will be going, the DS 2y when we go will be staying with the grandparents. And Jasmine's Kiss, I found out it will be during a Star Wars weekend. :cool1:

PPT went very well. DS is top of his class academically & making great strides socially & with executive functioning (but thank God for his para!).

Stopping at Chipotle on the way back to work. Don't tell DW...

Thanks for finding that quote, Mark!

They were showing The Princess Bride at one of the local theatre's last night. I would have liked to go see it, but instead we opted to drive around and listen to the kids fight in the back seat while we look at Christmas lights. Those things always seem to work better in theory than in actual execution.

I like both of those.

Lunch time finally rolled around and I was able to stop by the house and see for myself just what exactly our administrators found so troubling.
So now the verdict is in and it is:

Beat’s me? :confused3

Not sure if it was the rodent or the exploding spheroid.
Either way… I’mmmmmm still confused.

But than again, that's a fairly normal circumstance :lmao:

Spheroids are one of the 10 naughtiest shapes. Consider yourself lucky, if it were an isosceles trapezoid you could have been fired.

Wow, I must be missing something on that squirrel picture for it to be classified as mature content... :confused3

I can't see it either, is it wearing a blue dress and smoking a cigar?

Wow, sausage fest at Randall's:rotfl2:

Right on! We did our check in yesterday, nothing like waiting until the last possible minute.

I missed your post back there. It looks as if you have been reading along for a while. We’re glad to have you come on into the club house. Looking forward to hearing more about your trip plans (and what ever else is on your mind). Grab a beer out of the fridge and some bacon off of the “meat-bar” over there in the corner and jump on into the conversation.

Awesome... :thumbsup2

My son was also at the top of his class in Math. The teacher said he could teach it... :thumbsup2

Every year on Christmas Eve, my dad would take my brother and I into town to look at the Christmas lights. And darned if every year, while we were gone, Santa came to our house! What are the odds! Well, since the gifts were already there, we were allowed to open them. Conveniently, the next morning, there wasn't a new pile of presents under the tree, and thus nothing stopping us from heading right out to the barn and milking the cows. :headache:

Welcome to the club! I see that in your lurkdom you've picked up some of the local vernacular. Nice Job. :thumbsup2

Those cows ain't gonna milk themselves now are they?

I always wondered how SC made the rounds within 1 night, this helps explain that he just took advantage of opportunistic scheduling.
