Jim and I are on day four of the walking plan! He is good motivation! Las tnight in the middle of taking down decorations her said, let's go, we have to walk!!!! I may need a male logo!! ::yes::

Thanks for the kick in the rear. And thanks, Kate for the new logos. I walked 5 minutes longer today than yesterday. I'm starting to feel really good. The stiffness is going away, and now it's starting to feel fun!
 
Jim thought this was just walkers marathon! He is a little worried (embarassed) about being a walker in a real marathon! I said why? At least your fat butt will be out there walking and not sitting on the couch! I need to read all about this again on the wish board and report to him!!

Denise (our sister) told me there is no reason we can't train to run it by next year - did we mention she is the skinny one?

I told her she should come do the marathon with us and she sounded like she might think about it - Tell Jim he can run with Denise!!!!

I need 2 or 3 kicks in the rear... :rotfl: I am having a TERRIBLE time getting back into the swing. If just thinking about in counted...I would be soooo skinny that if I turned sideways & stuck out my tounge, I'd look like a zipper! :earsboy:

I just read in the other thread that your furnace is out! Maybe if you get on the treadmill or wlak or do jumping jacks you will warm up!!! :rotfl:
 
ok... I have not been very good this week. I did exercise twice and have watched what I ate but watched myself eat more than I wanted. Things have been hectic at work with longer than usual hours so I end up grabbing something to eat that is quick and comforting. NOT a good thing...

SO.... I see this ad for NutriSystem during the television news last night just before I went to bed. I thought that this might be good for me. Something all ready to eat that is portion controlled. I decided when I got up this a.m. I would go to their website and check it out. Sometime after midnight something woke me up out of a dead sleep. I discovered that we had fallen asleep with the TV on and one of us had rolled over onto the changer. Today's Special Value on QVC was being aired and discussed at great length. You will never guess what it was...

The "Take the Weekends Off" NutriSystem program! It is age specific so that also sounded like a sign I was to do this. I got up out of bed and went to the computer and put myself on the Auto-Delivery plan. I figure I can eat those foods M-F and cook and enjoy myself within reason on the weekends. I am very pleased with my decision on this.

As for the exercise, I promise I will do better this week!

I saw that this morning on QVC too! I'm thinking about doing it myself. Maybe between you nad me and Kristine we could have our own little Nutrisystems group- just to start out and see how it goes???

Kate Most people start out saying they're gonna walk the half and end up running or or half walking half running it. It's amazing how flexible our bodies are and how FAST they adjustu to what we want them to do! I wouldn't be surprised if many of the "walkers" turned into runners by the time the half came around this year! Just start out walking and taking it slow- it will come very naturally!

I know it could happen - I just don't want to make that my goal - if I set my goal too high I know that I might get discourage and give up - walking the half marathon seems like what I do at WDW anyway!! ;)

I also go commando style there!!!!

I have always wanted to run in a marathon - maybe I could build up in the next few years run the whole marathon!!!

I like the way you're thinking about it. I think along the same lines....it's enough that I'm even saying I'll do this- don't push me to run it too! If it happens- it happens , but right now my goal is to simply get up and walk- and get through that finish line! That's the simple truth! AND- if you're a commando girl- you'll have NO problem finishing! (I think we need a commando smilie!)

I'm doing it FOR SURE!!! I just ordered it from QVC. If you're gonna do it, better do it by midnight! This is today's special value- only lasts at this price until then!! I'll let everyone know how it works. As it stands- it won't get to my door until Feb.2 !!!

When I order from QVC things arrive sooner than their estimate... USUALLY. So I am hoping we get our meals sooner than they say. My estimate was January 14, when I ordered in the middle of the night.
