Good morning, DDA!

It is a rainy Fourth of July here in Boston. I wonder how that will impact Kathrin's plans to go into the city for the concert and fireworks with her friend who is visiting from Richmond. I know where I don't plan to be tonight!

I will probably get a nap after DH comes home. That seems to be the general pattern around here!

We aren't going to do anything tonight, either. Since DH has to work in the morning I want him to be well-rested so he can dodge the drunks. The story of our lives the morning after every holiday.

In other news...(and I am totally blaming Chanon)we booked that 3 day cruise on the Magic that she was talking about....and...it's only Bill & I! We will spend 2 days at Boardwalk...3 days on the cruise...and then 4 days at OKW (although we are wait listed at BW & BC.) I think Bill is more excited than I am.

I could use some extra prayers and pixie dust if you have any to spare. I know that the DDA is a powerful group, and I could use all the extra power that I can get.

I'm so sorry Tom. I hope the docs can figure out what is going on. You all are in my prayers!

Well my x-rays all came back fine(which is good)& I am to finish my meds & call them Monday to let them know how I am doing. I do feel a little better today, I think all that sleep helped. The pain is now in my lower back.

My manager left town for the holiday & will not be back till Wednesday, so I have to work. At least I am in the office & do not have to deal with customers.

I'm glad you are starting to feel better. for continued improvement.

LOVE getting the ME tags--really makes the trip seem closer!!

I forgot to to mention that ours came the other day too!

Well it looks like the DDA baby boom will be continuing, Brandon is going to be a big brother! I'm hoping for a Princess, but we'll take another Pirate.

Congratulations on being a grandma again! Is Brandon excited?

I had NO idea! We have been there numerous times. Those two ships must not have been there when we were!

So do they sail out of there as well when they are finished?

Today we will go to our city's Heritage Festival and Chili Cook-Off. In the afternoon we will be next door at a pool party, capping the evening with a Pops Concert in the park, and of course, fireworks.

This most likely is my last post for a while (cool post count, huh?!!), unless I get that dreaded 6 a.m. call saying the hospital is full again. I'm not taking my laptop to the hospital.

Let me ask you guys a travel question. There is a flight that leaves 2 horus earlier than mine, that would get me to the airport at the same time my cousin gets there...There are about 22 seats open and I was thinking about standby. I have never done that..

So do i just keep checking how many open seats and if its still alot, just go to the airport early? If not, ill be at the airport raelly early, but it wont be too bad (my flight i am booked on is at 2...im looking to go at 12)

What airline? Delta and a few other airlines charges for "confirmed day of" standby - other airlines don't if you stand around and wait. Some airlines don't allow standby at all. Check their website for the rules on standby...

Delta Airlines is the spawn of Satan. They have changed our flights AGAIN! I hate the thought of either losing my SkyMiles or paying an enormous fee to have them rebanked (or whatever they call it) and also paying a huge fee to rebook Bob's flights too. I really don't think I should have to deal with this every 2-3 days either! Last week I decided to let it ride and deal with it in 6 weeks or so. But now I feel as if by that time they will have us going to Timbuktu with a 30 day layover to get from Richmond to Orlando!

The real killer is that Airtran has flights for $70 each way that much better fit our schedule and, even with the fees, the total cost for both our flights is only $343.00. But it is the "loss" of the $263 already paid to Delta for Bob's flight and my Award Ticket booking fees that makes me angry.

I am beginning to sound like Elizabeth's older sister, aren't I???


ETA: By the way, Chanon... those great Airtran fares would allow us to take the 3-night cruise...

Well, Sis, I would call Delta and I would be UGLY. I would ask for a supervisor, explain how many times the flights have changes, explain how that has interfered with plans at your destination, and tell them you want your money back. Now. And your Sky Miles put back for future use. Then I would book AirTran. And the cruise.

i did call actually.they said that i would have to get to the airport 1.5 hours before the flight that i want to take. at that point, if there are seats available, i can either go on standby and wait to see if they call my name...Or i could pay 25 dollars and just be confirmed on that flight.
So it looks like ill keep an eye on how many seats are opened..if its still a bunch, ill go tothe airport really early and hope i get on!
