DDA Chapter 7

I think Emma might have a mild case of the chicken pox.:scared1: She had what looked like a few bug bites yesterday low on her belly. I took Joe with me early this morning to go outlet shopping. Emma must have complained to DH because her a bath when she woke up. A while after I got home I had Emma try on something I bought her and noticed she has spots on her shoulders and thighs too. I guess we'll have to take her to the doctor tomorrow and get it checked out. What I've read says she should be all better in about 1 week which would be the day before we're set to fly.:scared1: She had been vaccinated but didn't get the booster you get before Kindergarten yet.
:wizard: for it to be truly a MILD case. I hope she isn't too uncomfortable.

Just a reminder this was the length:

Excuse my face, my make up is a little messed up from today:

My forehead looks really big in this picture :rotfl:
Janet I really do love it! You look terrific!

have any of you gone to that House of Blues Gospel Brunch?

I am so angry. I just called for my work schedule and I only have 2 nights. That is ridiculous. I have always worked 4 - 5 nights. Another week like this and I'll have to look for a new job. We cannot make ends meet with only 2 nights and with the fact that we aren't busy anyway. Now to think about where one might find a very flexible part time well paying job :lmao: Like I'll find that.:headache:
Hope you get more hours!!! (or find something better)

:wizard: for it to be truly a MILD case. I hope she isn't too uncomfortable.
Thanks!

Here's the Pooh dress I made for Emma. This is the one I had to take apart but it looks so cute on now.

And some fun shorts for Lizzy:

I am exhausted. Another big but fun day. Alyssa's bday party was a lot of fun, and we had a good turnout. Then it was time to come home and play with all of the presents. I need to go back to work tomorrow so I can get some rest!

Nope. I considered it, but it just isn't really our thing. If we were going to go I think we would go here because ours is cheaper. The Dallas HOB charges "kid" prices up to age 13.
There is a poll to send Mr. Disney (aka Bob) to brunch there but I don't think they are going until October.

More great creations, Bernadette!

My thoughts exactly! :thumbsup2

Thanks! That little Pooh dress is pretty simple but it might just be my favorite of the 4 outfits I made her. I've got some great fabric to make Lizzy a Pooh A-line. She actually tried this one on before I cut the 4" off-it was just a tiny bit too tight-but it looked cute on her too.

Elizabeth-did you see the A La Carte Bagg on the floor in the shorts photo?

Kirsten has moved on from Webkinz to Club Penguin....I am not sure which is worse

I'm so with ya! Katie is on Club Penguin all the time! She's even got Jacob hooked! I've had to limit the time they are allowed on the computer, or I'd never get any chores out of them!

Janet! It looks great!!! I really like it!

I really need to get my butt in gear and stop the weight creep. It is only a few pounds but if I do not watch it I will not fit in my clothing. All of these events and lack of having a consistent eating pattern are really throwing me for a loop. I have two events yet this week.

I have to take my test tomorrow before 5pm. It is a 3 hour block of time. It is open book, but I do not feel ready for it at all. I also have to go into work. Although I probably worked my hours over the weekend, I am supposed to go in everyday.

I am now watching Desperate Housewives. I should head to bed soon.

Can I tell you all how much I HATE dealing with airlines????? Alan bought 4 tickets to London on December 17 of last year. We booked the flight that we wanted, seats that we wanted, etc. It was done and we weren't going to have to worry about it. Well, we received a confirmation on December 18, so I've been checking periodically to make sure our departure times don't change (at least too much). Well, during our Spring Break, Alan was checking on them and noticed that instead of flying from Salt Lake to Newark then Newark to Heathrow, 3 of the tickets were the same, but one (for a minor child) was scheduled from SL to Houston, Houston to JFK, JFK to Gatwick!!! Not acceptable at all!

Alan called the airline and got the run around. He was finally able to leave a voice mail, and we've been waiting to hear back. Yesterday, he got a message on his voice mail from the airline, saying there is a problem with the tickets, and he needs to call ASAP!

He called last night at 5:00 and was told that Continental had CANCELLED THE FLIGHT 2 WEEKS AGO. We were not informed by email, phone call, postcard, etc. Nothing!!! So, from 5:00 until 7:00 last night, Alan was talking to Delta to try to work this out. At first, they wanted to put us on a flight that would get us from SL to Newark, then we'd have a 20 hour layover until a flight to Heathrow. NOT ACCEPTABLE! By the time he got off the phone, he had us booked on a flight from SL to JFK (red-eye), then we get upgraded to first class from JFK to Heathrow! Coming home, we are nonstop from Heathrow to SL with the possibility of first class.

Phew!!! We now have hard copies of the tickets tucked neatly away with my passport! I'm just glad that we had been checking periodically. It would have been horrible to show up on June 1st and be told there was no available flight for 3 days!

:scared1: YIKES! Glad you got it straightened out!
