Good morning. It is a glorious, beautiful day here. I think I'm coming down with something............spring fever! :rotfl:

It's contagious then! I can't wait to get outside for a walk this morning!! :goodvibes

For any of you Weight Watcher's people...have you tried the All-Bran Crackers by Kellogg's? I bought a box of the garlic Herb and they are delicious. 18 crackers is only 2 points. I always love when we find something low point and yummy.

Those are so yummy! We just have the regular flavor and they were good. I'll have to try the garlic herb.

Sounds like this will be a busy weekend for you!

The problem is that his communion is on the 26th of April and her bday is the 30th, which means I'm going to have his party on Sat and hers on Sun, since my family will be in town. That way they can attend both.

I watched some last night & you are right, crazy!

I was seeing that on CNN this morning. Crazy!! I'm glad that you guys weren't too close. It almost seems even scarier to come through the city like that.

It is 33 here with a chance of light snow or rain, yuck!

Its 42 here but gloomy. Showers all day off & on. Daniel has baseball so not sure it thats going to go on or not.

Good morning, DDA!

Debbie - Congrats on mini-goal #2. You are doing great!

Robyn - I'm glad Emma was found safely. Totally understand the worry and anger there!

Anne Marie - less than 30 days! :dance3:

Jennifer - Love the party ideas! For Terra's Stinky Pete's Gold Mine, we hid the chocolate coins in a box of packing peanuts instead of dirt/sand.

Deb - Impressive on just one taste of the syrup. I'd be hard pressed not to have more.

It is 33 here with a chance of light snow or rain, yuck!

Yup, 49 at 6am and falling all day. Rain all day and chance of light snow tonight. Those 60s-70s the last few days spoiled us! Spring fever is definitely here.

I need to get off my booty & get the dishes done & then hop in the shower. I need to go grocery shopping(Chanon I plan on trying the recipe you posted tonight. I will let you know how it turns out.) & then Gary wants to go look at kitchen cabinets.

Have a great day all!

I'm just kidding. She will be 6. I learned a long time ago not to try to do a party at my house. I ended up spending just as much money plus I had to do all the work. So I think she wants to have it at the pottery place where I'm taking Bethany today, so I'll inquire into th prices. Each child gets to paint a piece of pottery and I can bring in food and cake. Sounds simple enough!

For Nicholas' communion I think we are just going to have a cookout. Mass is at 10:30, plus group pictures afterward so I'm figuring being home around 12:30. I'll do burgers, dogs and chicken on the grill, a few side dishes, and dessert.

The problem is that his communion is on the 26th of April and her bday is the 30th, which means I'm going to have his party on Sat and hers on Sun, since my family will be in town. That way they can attend both.

Tammi,

I can remember when Howie and Guenna were little, I would just have one cake and have the family over. Their birthdays were on June 5 & 11. Then when we moved in here, I would have a few kids over for each but still do the one cake for family. Thankfully we didn't have to worry about special parties back then, just a themed cake. I was lucky with that, my neighbor made really fantastic cakes and the kids loved them.

I remember Steven's first cake was the Hunny Pot and the big one was of Pooh. Then when the Howie was about 10 years or so, I started to buy the Carvel cakes and that went over big and the kids still ask me if I am going to get them ice cream cakes for their birthdays!!!!!:lmao:

So, any big plans for the weekend around here? We don't have much. Gotta babysit for Kristi's group this afternoon and may hit the church garage sale this morning. Other than that, not too much around here.

Tornado went through downtown Atlanta and did a bunch of damage. Watch CNN for pictures. It was right during the Bama vs MS State basketball game. John and I graduated from both schools, so it really hit home. Dozens injured, did damage to the Georgia Dome, CNN Center, Omni hotel, Ritz, Centennial Olympic Park.

Denise,

I was chatting with my sister earlier and she said the weather was bad, but it was before your post. :scared1:

I hope the damage is not too bad. I gotta call her and see if she knows anything more on the damage.

Deb,

That is on my grocery list to try. Thanks. I need to pack a few more things to have at work.

Earlier this week I happened to check the Delta site and our flight itinerary for the September/October trip. Imagine my surprise (and horror!) to discover that our 12:30 flight hand been canceled and we were rescheduled for one that leaves Richmond at 3:30 instead. I had booked my flight with SkyMiles and Bob's with cash. There would have been almost no reason to go to WDW that day at all, since this is a somewhat abbreviated trip.

So, armed with great info from our resident AAA travel agent ;) I called the SkyMiles people on Friday morning. Not only was Ms. Klein understanding, but she told me that since they had changed the schedule I could have any flight I wanted, including ones that were not previously available with the number of SkyMiles I had to work with! :thumbsup2

So, we are now scheduled to leave Richmond at 7:15 in the morning and it is a nonstop flight that will allow us practically a half day more than what we had before.

I realized that this now means we will have to eat another meal at WDW.........................................

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Well, Elin, I guess you have to take the good with the bad.

:rotfl:

I need to get moving. Bob and Bethany will be here soon. Enjoy your day, everyone!

So, any big plans for the weekend around here?

Since Kristin heads back to school tomorrow :sad1: we have grocery shopping to do today. She also needs a few more basic wardrobe additions for the "real world" of interviews and auditions. So, I suppose we will be forced to shop yet again... :rotfl2:

Then, a group of friends (including our college kids home on spring break) are headed to a decent German restaurant for dinner tonight.
