John's MRI was normal. Good news, but frustrating as they still have no ideas what's going on. He goes back to the ENT tomorrow afternoon. My grandmother's surgery is at 8:30am tomorrow. My parents were in route to her house when I talked to them tonight. I'll keep you posted.

Elizabeth -- accidents happen all of the time on e-bay. You know your DH, although a nice guy, is acting like a jerk (as all of them can in my opinion) and making you feel worse than the problem actually is. I hope you get good news today and that the flight for Momboss goes out. It's not sounding good for a lot of the flights this morning, because of the cancelling so many flights last night.

There was lots of snow in the DFW area, but we didn't get any until this morning. I was getting ready for work when Randy called me in to the bedroom. He had turned the outside big light on over our second story, and I could see some big fat flakes! Yeah! It didn't last long, but at least we got a few. I stayed at home an extra 20 minutes or so and decided to head on in. There weren't too many problems coming in my way, so that's good.

Marci I am glad you finally got to see your big snow flakes!

There was lots of snow in the DFW area, but we didn't get any until this morning. I was getting ready for work when Randy called me in to the bedroom. He had turned the outside big light on over our second story, and I could see some big fat flakes! Yeah! It didn't last long, but at least we got a few. I stayed at home an extra 20 minutes or so and decided to head on in. There weren't too many problems coming in my way, so that's good.

Hey, look! It's snowing! Momboss has a 7 AM flight - maybe. Hopefully she will check the airport before she leaves the house.

I can't sleep.

So I found out the $200 converter thing is NOT what we need for that lens. We need a different, $50 thing. From overseas. And the lens still wouldn't have auto focus function so it wouldn't be that helpful.

If I don't hear back from the seller by the time we hit 24 hours from when I e-mailed him I am going to retract the bid. I got a notice that I was outbid on one of the other things, and chances are good that I will be outbid on the other so hopefully we won't get booted off eBay with open bids on other items.

A hard choice, I know, Ellizabeth, but I think it's the right one. There are always the pin grab bags and the PinPics ladies for your future traders. Good luck!

Good morning, DDA! Not sure when I'll be home today, but it should be fun. After we drop off Phil, Terra and I are going to Chick-Fil-A for breakfast. Then we're taking Terra, Michael and Danae to the History Museum today. After that, we've got to pick up Mom, hit the grocery store (hopefully), and pick up Phil. Then, since everyone else will be gone tonight I think that Terra, Phil and I will have family night and go to Cici's for dinner. Should be fun! Wonder if I could get some Disney stuff printed and we could talk trip planning.

Good Morning.

We are expecting a nasty LONG storm to hit here around 5 PM tonight. It is supposed to continue without break until sometime Sunday morning. We are in the unknown zone. It could be a mix of snow and sleet/freezing rain or it could be all rain/sleet. There are Winter storm warning and flood warnings. When is this ever going to end I need to see sunshine and get outside to enjoy days and exercise. I have no motivation to do anything inside. I should be painting and installing flooring, but I just have no motivation.

We are supposed to get rain sometime today and evening and maybe tomorrow some snow. The biggest concern is flooding along the Susquehana River. Usually Harrisburg has the problems, but I am concerned since my daughter lives below Harrisburg in Marietta and you never know whether they will be on the watch or not.

Marci, the snow was quite impressive when I was up at 3 AM. DH's phone was ringing and I didn't end up going back to sleep until about 5 AM.

Oh, I am not too worried about finding pins to buy. I am more worried about PayPal taking the money from us if the seller opens a dispute. I just wish the seller would have replied, either to say he will cancel my bid or to tell me to pound sand. I guess I just need to go retract the bid and be done with it, then I'll deal with the fallout.

I've been reading the thread trying to figure out what everyone is conversing about. I picked up on this. Is the lens a screw mount? And the camera isn't? You can get the converter for just a few bucks. I used to have one on my old camera. It's a ring that fits into the camera to make the conversion. Assuming we are talking about the same thing.

Most camera stores will also take used cameras for trade in. That is how I upgraded my camera. I can't remember how "fair" the deal was, but it was better then letting the camera sit around while I paid full price for the camera.

Ask the seller if they would cancel the sale. It sure couldn't hurt to ask. But sometimes you have to live and learn.

BTW........ aren't all men PERFECT!!

Our roads were dry when I came to work this morning, so that was good. I am pretty sure Momboss made it to Houston because she flew out of the smaller airport instead of the big one.

I went through the eBay system to request the seller's contact info as a last ditch effort to do this the right way. I have his phone number now, but it is not even 8 AM there so I need to wait a bit before I call him. If I am unsuccessful at getting ahold of him then I will retract the bid with the retraction form. Doing that forces me to pick one of the 3 options for the reason for retraction, none of which are valid in this situation, so no telling what sort of problems that will generate.

OK, well, the deed is done!
I called the number from eBay and I got a generic answering machine - I don't even know if I reached the right person. So I retracted the bid. I am sure I will hear from the (irate) seller now.
I do feel like I tried to correct it the proper way, but he is either too busy to respond or wasn't interested in canceling the bid. At least now the auction still has more than 48 hours left so other people can bid on the item. I am sure I will get some sort of nasty notice from eBay shortly.
