DDA Chapter 4

Thanks, everyone, for the compliments on my design and for the good wishes for my leg. The leg is starting to feel better, but it still hurts. I think I'm coming down with something else, though. I'm running a low-grade fever (100.0) and just feel kind of yuck.
:wizard: Hope that doesn't last long!

Here's a quick shot of a few of the letters, so you can see the type of patterns. There are 10 different ones, but I won't bore you with individual shots, since you can't really see them well in pictures anyway ;)

(And no, one of them is not "Elvis"... I realize it may appear that way with the letters that ended up in the frame :rotfl: )

NICE!

BUT....how but some more photos?

Jennifer - They are wonderful! And I love the names. :goodvibes: I especially like Avery. So is Avery Baby A, or is that for Baby B? :)

Jennifer - Very nice! :goodvibes
I love that Cure song "Letter for Elise".
I once interviewed to be nanny to an Avery. The parents were divorced and it was VICIOUS. I met with both of the parents and you could just feel the hatred coming off the mom. Probably good that I turned down the job.:rotfl2:

I think I'm going to make some tea and climb under a comforter in a couple of minutes.

Here is something that came in an e-mail to me recently. I filled it in with my responses. Have we done this here yet?

Four Things About Me....
Four things about me that you may or may not have known, in
no particular order. The directions are at the end.

Now, here's what you're supposed to do... and please do not
spoil the fun. Do a copy and paste then
delete my answers and type in your answers.
Then send this to a whole bunch of people you know,
INCLUDING the person who sent it to you.
The theory is that you will learn a lot of
little known facts about those who know you.
Remember to send it back to the person who sent it to you.

I love those names! I knew the sweetest little girl named Avery a couple of years ago. There is an Elise on the cross-country team with my older two who is also one of the sweetest people.

Thanks! I liked them both individually, but had a really hard time settling on them for twins. I feel like a lot of people will assume Elise is Alyse, which I realize is not that different but I really only like it one way! Also, if they assume it's Alyse, then it's ENTIRELY too twinny for my liking... it's pushing it as it is.

Avery Jade was the first name we could EVER settle on, boy or girl, that both Kyle and I really liked (without any arm twisting even!) Then I fell in love with Isabelle Elise, but couldn't come to terms with Isabelle and Avery.... for whatever reason, to me, one seemed to just be much more delicate, girly, whatever than the other, and I couldn't pull the trigger to settle on that when I felt the names were so different. (I know, I seriously over-analyze things!)

Kyle didn't like Avery and Isabelle together as much anyway, so I didn't try that hard. If we ever have a third child (well, and it's a girl), then I will not back down from Isabelle. Maybe by then Isabella won't be so popular, which will make me a little happier too.

(I know, I need therapy! :rotfl: )

No therapy needed...unless I need it, too. Well, in that case, it probably is needed. :rotfl: I completely understand your reasoning. Isabelle is beautiful, too.

AHHHHHHH!!!:lovestruc

Avery was in the running for Cassidy so it's one of my favorite names.

I am so sorry RL has caught so many of us in it's crosshairs.

May all the sickies and woes disappear!!!:wizard:

I don't know! :rotfl: While I would love to think of them individually (especially since they definitely take turns beating me up now), we are unsure of whether we'll determine names now or ahead of time. I imagine it will be at the birth... but for one of two possible reasons. They might end up looking right for a particular one versus the other. Also, if we like the sound of introducing one then the other first (on birth announcements, etc) then the first one to come out will have to be the first one we want to put on the announcement. If I were having a ******l delivery we could almost be certain baby A would come out first and we could go ahead with naming them, but with a c-section it all depends on who is closer to the incision, not the cervix -- which could change right before the delivery!

Beth - I will have to work on that reply after dinner! :)

Jennifer - Isabelle and Isabella are both very popular. We also know a little girl named AnnElise (pronounced as one word) and a little girl named Elisabella. We met a lady at P&PP last year who had a baby named Arabella, which is out cat's name!:rotfl2: I can't think of anyone we know named Elise or Avery, so those are good choices!

I don't personally know any Isabelles or Isabellas... I just looked at the Social Security list! :rotfl: For the last several years, Isabella is WAY up there, like in the top 5 for new baby girl names. Isabelle (and Isabel, etc) is barely in the top 100, and actually not much higher than Avery.

I didn't put all my stock into that though.... my parents named me Jennifer for one reason --- it was so unique at the time! We see how that turned out! :rotfl:

I haven't had an Avery or an Elise in preschool for as long as I have been teaching. The little girl Avery that I knew was the cousin of one of the boys in my preschool class. Her mother's maiden name was Avery.

Beautiful choices!!!!!!!

Thanks! :goodvibes

I'm off to change into my PJs and wait for dinner. Kyle is still not home from work yet (he just started a somewhat rotten service at Children's, but at least he's there -- which means his occasional days off will at least be on the weekends with me!) Tomorrow we have a big reunion at Miami that I'm really looking forward to. I have to shop first though, to try and find a skirt/outfit to wear. I have a cocktail dress or two I can wear (for the wedding we're singing in next week) but nothing semi-formal enough for the banquet tomorrow evening.

Have a wonderful evening if I don't pop back on!
