DDA Chapter 4

Morning DDA!

Jennifer - you'll have to post photos of what you've bought on your shopping spree! We need to know what to stay away from! (And are you starting a baby resigtry??)

I do have pictures uploaded of some.. I'll try to get them posted at some point. Of course, I'm still late getting my cruise book posted -- sorry! They don't do them justice, but at least you would get the idea ;) We are probably registering within the next week or so. BRU is insanely crowded on the weekends, and Kyle's schedule makes it difficult to find any time together. We are so OCD that we'll have a list made up though ahead of time, so I'll let you know! :rotfl:

I have added B&C to the list - if not for our June trip, we'll definitely have to check it out on a future one with all the referrals.

ETA: Of course, I was so exhausted I might have just missed it. I swear I checked your signature specifically and didn't see anything yet.

Honestly, I never make speculations on the DIS. I can't badmouth it too much since it's running so much better than it did, but there are still plenty of funky things it does from time to time. Either way, it looks like the cat is mostly out of the bag now! :)

So what song is it?

The song is "In Better Hands", by Natalie Grant. I am happy to report at least that I stayed standing! :rotfl: I, of course, felt like it was a bit weak... but that's probably just because I am absolutely my worst critic

Hi, everyone. boys have their Cub Scout meeting here in 40 minutes and BK and I have to go pick up her 175 boxes of Girl Scout cookies. I have NO voice today at all (which John is loving) and feel cruddy (TOM is here too and NOT helping). We are supposed to have violent thunderstorms later this afternoon. I probably won't be back on today as we're having movie night tonight and watching Snow Buddies. Have a great day.

Try and enjoy your night together... I'm sorry it's been kind of a crummy day!

We are having much warmer temps today than we were supposed to. It was supposed to ice, sleet, etc all afternoon/night, but it's 52 degrees! It's very windy so it feels a bit chilly, and we keep having these rolling blackouts for some reason... who knows. I'm so ready for spring I can't stand it!!

I hope you all are having a good afternoon!

I need to catch up, but here are a few pictures

Hunter in his play:

This is my BIG project for the weekend. I bought a $20 folding lawn chair with a canopy, used a dremel tool to cut the bolts that held the canopy on. I went to Home Depot and bought some new bolts, spacers, washer and wing nuts. Then Chris helped me drill out the holes a bit bigger and we reassembled the canopy on the wheelchair. We can take it off fairly easily since we used wing nuts :thumbsup2

I added the front scalloped edge with a bit of a Disney touch to make it look like it belongs to a 5 year old. It needs a little fun don't you think.

This morning I set out to build a rain cover for it. This is what I came up with.

I'm happy to have this project completed. One more thing that I can check off my to do list :cool1:

Deb - that is ingenious! You should market that. I just have one concern....will Colby be riding in there with the rain cover on?

Wow! That is absolutely awesome! You do great work!

Tammi did you get your flights booked? I am sure my eyes have turned red quite a few times :rotfl: Gary says they turn green ;)

Anne Marie your dining choices look perfect. Hope you can finalize them soon. I am still hoping for a P&PP in Aug.!

Thanks everyone on the suggestions for good times to eat at B&C. I might try this in May. I do not have a schedule to keep & I am sure I can fit it in :thumbsup2 Speaking of my May trip, Garrett told me I will probably stay in my room most of the time. I asked him why he thought that & he said because I will be lonely. I told him that yes I might get lonely, but there is no way I am spending all my time in a room! Besides Bernadette will be there & I will be calling home every night :thumbsup2 Not sure if he is worried about me or hoping I will ask him to come along :rotfl:

Denise sounds like you have a busy day, enjoy your movie with the kids tonight!

Elizabeth I don't think your ds has enough shorts. You better go buy him some more :teeth:

Jen hope your fever goes away soon :wizard:

Deb what a great job you did, of course I would expect no less from you!

Debbie your story about the twins is funny! I can just picture them :rotfl:

Jennifer glad to hear all went well at church today, we knew you could do it!

I'm having tummy troubles at the moment. I had raw veggies for lunch & I don't think it is agreeing with me. I could not wait to get home! Hopefully it will go away soon. We are getting a light snow right now, but I do not think it will amount to much. I think we were spared this time.

Sorry if I missed any of you!

I hope you feel better soon. I'd love to hear about Snow Buddies. That's on my to see list :thumbsup2

Deb - that is ingenious! You should market that. I just have one concern....will Colby be riding in there with the rain cover on?

He will at times. The bottom is very loose fitting so there is plenty of room for air ;) there are also holes in the back for the handles to fit through. It is similar to Hunter's and we had no problems with that :thumbsup2

Deb - The canopy and the rain cover look great! :thumbsup2

Janet -I hope you feel better soon!
It seems like last year I bought a bunch of shorts for DS at the very last minute before the trip. The ones from Talbots worked out to about $6 each, then I found a couple at Macy's and some at Hanna Andersson on clearance. This year we are leaving earlier though, so the shorts might not be super cheap yet. We'll see! ;)

Jen - Feel better soon!

Hearty Chicken & Noodle Casserole

1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup frozen vegetables
2 cups cubed cooked chicken
2 cups medium egg noodles
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1. Stir soup, milk, pepper, Parmesan cheese, vegetables, chicken, and noodles in 1 1/2 quart casserole.
2. Bake at 400ºF. for 25 minutes for until hot. Stir.
3. Top with cheddar cheese.

Makes 4 servings. I didn't add the cheddar cheese, didn't want to push my luck with the picky ones.

Elizabeth I was just teasing about the shorts :)

Well both the boys are gone for the night, I do not work tomorrow, & I feel like crap :sad2: At least I do not have to worry about cooking dinner! I know I am not coming down with anything, just one of those days I guess. I already have my jammies on lol

Oh well, Gary & I are going away together next weekend, so I guess I can make up for it then :rolleyes1

Janet it was good and Dawn made apple dumplings for dessert.

Are your boys off tomorrow? DS has school, but Princess is off.
Of course DS needs more shorts!:rotfl2:
I hope you feel better soon! Where are you going next weekend?

Heidi - Your dinner sounds good! I didn't go to the grocery store today so we will have a rough week on the dinner front!:scared:
