DDA Chapter 4

I have never eaten at B&C, with all the praise maybe I should add that to our Aug. list or maybe I could try it in May or maybe go both times :rotfl:

What is the best time to go to beat the rush beings there is limited seating? I have a habit of waiting till I am to hungry sometimes & ready to pass out

Ok, I'm in need of all your favorite CS or cheaper TS locations. We are trying to plan some places to eat in June if we can talk my sister into eating out. We are doing CRT for breakfast one day. We'll probably do Ohana for dinner one night for the ambience. We are trying to avoid the family style or buffets because of the cost.
Even though you already picked - I loved Sunshine Seasons and ESPN.

Wow! The sickies are running rampant! I have talked to more people today that have been sick, or are starting to get sick!

Please stay away from us!

We celebrated my Mom's birthday today, and had a good time. Leighanna's birthday is next Saturday, so I still have some more planning to do to get that all done! I know my party will be NOTHING like Terra's! Way to go Tia on such great ideas! I might have to copy a couple of those!

At least the sun was shining brightly today! Leighanna wanted to give all her Aunties and friends a big cyber hug!

And yes Elin, I think this IS the technical board!:rotfl:

Jennifer! Congrats on your princess: princess: . They will be so much fun!

Ok, is this the one that you whipped together yesterday at the last minute? It is gorgeous.

Morning DDA!

Jennifer - you'll have to post photos of what you've bought on your shopping spree! We need to know what to stay away from! (And are you starting a baby resigtry??)

I can completely understand. If we had one child, I would have - somewhat embarrassingly - been very upset if it were not a girl. When it was two, I wanted one of each, two girls would be "fine too", "as long as it wasn't 2 boys" ;). I think for 19 weeks though I was getting used to the idea of either, that I was (and still am at times) somewhat disappointed that one isn't a boy :confused3

Don't get me wrong -- I'm all girl-mom... I am ecstatic over visions of girly stuff with them, which is why I cried after the u/s -- not specifically because we weren't having a boy (that came later), but because I was so confused as to why I wasn't ecstatic! :rotfl: I swear, it wasn't minutes after seeing both that I was trying to figure out "if", "how", and "when", we could try and "get a boy". :rotfl:

I'm over that now, for the most part! ;)

Totally understandable. Chuck & I had decided we just wanted two kids before Becky was born for several different reasons. I really wanted a girl but after she was born, I kept thinking about how could we have a boy. We should have a boy because all men want to have sons. Chuck put a stop to those thoughts. He told me he was NOT going through another pregnancy with me! :lmao: I guess I was a little hormonal or something. :rotfl:

This is too weird.... I think it is likely just a "DIS thing" :confused3 I swear, by the time Vicki was on and talking about going back to bed, etc, I had changed it, logged off, moved downstairs and was periodically checking in wondering when someone would see it! I never even got back on the desktop (where the sig is saved) to change it again!

It's possible we already had the "page" up and it didn't refresh or something? That is weird.

I think that's a great idea. To chime in with the rest, though, B&C would definitely have been my suggestion as well -- good food, nothing over the top spectacular, but VERY affordable!

I have added B&C to the list - if not for our June trip, we'll definitely have to check it out on a future one with all the referrals.

ETA: Of course, I was so exhausted I might have just missed it. I swear I checked your signature specifically and didn't see anything yet.

Jennifer I love my boys more than anything, but I would be lying if I said that I still didn't wish for a girl. Had I not had so many complications with my pregnancies, I probably would have one more in hopes of a girl(I'm sure if I did that I would of had another boy :rotfl: ). I know that it was not meant to be & I just hope when my boys are older & start having their own families that there are some little granddaughter's thrown in there :goodvibes

My neighbors did have another one in hopes of a girl and another one and another one. They ended up with 5 boys.

I'm hoping for the same thing except for grandsons. It has also been nice having a nephew to spoil. There are so many years between my girls and my niece & nephews that I'm not exhausted taking care of my own so I have been able to enjoy them while they were little.

If there is a chance that your sister and the kids (and anyone else, for that matter) are interested in doing so... the portions at B&C and Pecos Bill's are pretty large. We often get one burger (double cheeseburger) and share it. I just realized that we shared the meals at Cosmic Ray's too.

We figure we'll be doing a lot of sharing. Even at Flame Tree, we end up not getting a meal for each of us. There's just too much food and then we also have room for some treats later. I love Disney. In 12 days, we should be boarding the plane for our flight down.

Even though you already picked - I loved Sunshine Seasons and ESPN.

I haven't picked. I'm just writing them all down. I'll make sure these are on the list. I remember seeing Sunshine a couple of times and I think Deb told me about ESPN but I'll make sure. Thanks!

I'm hoping to get a lot accomplished today both for home and work. I really want to be able to go to Disney for the week without checking in at work. If that is going to happen, I have to get some stuff done. We usually schedule one week at a time but I'll need to have two weeks done. I do the scheduling for this project that usually has 30-50 people working any given week. I've trained others to do it but they aren't comfortable doing it yet.

I'm off to try to get some of my list completed. I'll be back! Have a great morning! We have a weather warning for today. I don't know the details but Chuck was telling me yesterday when I was heading home that I was coming on a good day.

Hi Debbie, how are you feeling!

Love the new picture, is that your grandson :goodvibes

Thank you, yes it's one of my all time Brandon favorites, I was inspired by all the other great new signature pictures. I'm feeling pretty good this morning, I have to get off of her and get some cleaning done around here at some point today.

Jennifer I love my boys more than anything, but I would be lying if I said that I still didn't wish for a girl. Congratulations Jennifer, DH and I both were hoping for a boy when our youngest was born, as we had already deided that we were only going to have the two. I had a tubal after my C-section so the decision was final and at one point I doubted the decision. It turned out to be great, and then years later we got our boy, a grandson. And grandchildren really are great, we spoil him rotten, play and have a great time, and then he goes home and his parents are responsible for the discipline. He is really into wrestling so we bought tickets to ECW Smackdown next month, that should be interresting.

All this twin talk reminds me of another twin story that really cracked us up around here. My daughter's friend has a set of twin sister's that are quite a bit younger than him, they are so identical that even their own family have a hard time telling them apart. Courtney and Alyssa are as cute as can be, well, one day DD was at their house and they were all swimming in the pool, the twins had gotten into an argument and were hitting each other with their fun noodles, all the time calling each other "ugly _itch", the thought of them looking at their mirror image and calling each other ugly was just too funny. Of course if mom or dad had heard the language they would have both been in trouble. :rotfl:

So far it is still raining with the temps in the 40's. hopefully we will luck out & not get to much of the nasty weather that was being called for.
We are supposed to start getting that rain later today, turning into thunderstorms tonight.

Denise - I just wanted to say that you and John are on my prayer list. It's great to see you around more lately.

When we first moved into this house the neighbor would play with my youngest DD, she was quite a bite older than her, and would "borrow" her things. Many of the things she "borrowed" never got returned, she was taking advantage of the age difference. I think you handled the situation wonderfully.

We opted not to find out the sex of our children. So when Nicholas was born there was a teeny tiny bit of disappointed that he wasn't a girl, that lasted only about 10 seconds. Then I was just elated with him finally being born. When Alyssa was born I cried tears of joy because I had one of each, my family was complete. Little did I know dealing with a girl was going to be so difficult!

yes, his matrix is the punnet squares. I used that term because we are all so obsessed with our matrices for each and every trip... :rotfl2:
Speaking of, mine is completed for August. ;)

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: poor Elizabeth... wanna figure mine out for me???

No, because you don't have enough credits! ;) :rotfl2:

But, does he have 32 pairs of shorts???

Nope. 29, but 4 of them are knit which aren't great for Disney. He prefers the twill ones. So if I pick up 6-8 more pairs he'll be all set.

my geeky DH used Mendel and his sweet pea matrix of fun to predict we would have brown haired, brown eyed sons...

I see that didn't work out for him. Good thing he didn't quit his day job! :rotfl:

The Plaza at MK.

it all looks wonderful, Tia... I know Terra loved it. You went to a lot of trouble to make the party one she will remember.

I have to ask, though... are Woody and Jesse in bed together?!?!

Tia, you did an amazing job! It looks like everybody had a terrific time! :goodvibes

Hi all,

There's no way I can get caught up tonight, or this weekend, but I wanted to let you know we're finally safe in Huron.

A nasty vomiting bug traveled through 3/4 of my household starting with Alyssa at 2 a.m. on 2/15, Matthew at 5 a.m. on 2/15 and finally me, around 9 a.m. on 2/15. I'm still not convinced Kevin is in the clear, but for whatever reason, he's still been spared. We had to delay our trip a bit, but we all seem much better, and we'll make the most of the two days we're here.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend...I'll try my best to catch up on Tuesday!

Amy :)

I hope you are able to enjoy your weekend now! :wizard:

A late Happy Birthday to your mom Tom!

Here is a big  right back to Leighanna!

Leighanna is so pretty! Hugs back to her!
How is your mom doing, Tom? Has she settled in and made some friends?

I'm sure you will sound lovely & have no problems at all. Have fun!

Hope it goes well this morning, Jennifer!

Since all I did yesterday was weed out the outgrown clothes from DS's closet I guess I need to do some other stuff today. Like laundry. :laundy:
