Not too bad. So far the temp has dropped about 10 degrees since I got to work and it is starting to rain. Just sprinkling so far, but it is supposed to get worse as the day progresses. Tomorrow we are supposed to have 100% rain coverage of up to 3 inches. I HATE to load groceries into the car in the rain so my main goal was to get home before it started to rain hard.

Yep - it's supposed to be a messy weekend! Good couch weather!

Does any one know when Disney shopping had the goofy codes last year?

It seems like they've mainly been around the Christmas shopping season, Jennifer, but maybe they were offered another time of year? I can't remember, but I know they've been around the past 2 years for Christmas.

Lindsay, do you know if that shirt comes in child or youth sizes? Boy would Rees love one!

I don't know, Denise. I know when I ordered Jonathan's I made sure I was ordering an adult male size, but I didn't ask if they carried it for women or children. I'm sure a phone call to the Mail Order line couldn't hurt!

I bet he would love that tee! Did you see the other one mentioned? Maybe that one would come in a youth size!

I just realized AKL IPO never responded to me about my Y&Y ADR. I got an auto response that they would get back to me in 24 hours. That was 48 hours ago. I know it's not important to THEM, especially since it is so far out, but it is important to ME. I wonder if I should call IPO or just call Dining and be done with it?

I called and they actually already made the ADR, they just hadn't gotten around to sending the confirmation number to me yet. Good. Now ALL of my ADRs are finished!

Good news!

I need to get in touch with both IPO's for our December trip. Never too early IMO. Jonathan and I have some financial goals that we're trying to meet this year, but if all goes as planned, we should be able to splurge in December and stay AKL CL and GF CL! With no family!

Jennifer - I don't remember exactly when they did Goofy codes, but it seems like it wasn't that long ago. Do they do them more than once?

yes I think they did it twice last year. I don't want to do 2 separate orders so I guess I will wait and see if they get more baby stuff in then see if their is code then

If I look like I might be thinking about reading ANY of the threads on "Codes and Rates" would someone please slap me? I just get so ANGRY reading about these people who gets HUNDREDS of dollars slashed off their prices just by calling!

A little CONSISTENCY would be ever so lovely! If they are going to offer staggering discounts to people who call and ask then the least they could do is give them to EVERYONE who calls and asks!

I agree - it is frustrating. I haven't called in several weeks, but might inquire when I call Disney later today. I need to finally get around to canceling the Segway tour I'd booked for May, cancel an excess Dec. reservation, and get my revised dining plans finally squared away for May!

I haven't been paying much attention, because it just makes me sad that I can't get the discount, too. Are they still sending out codes?

I got the 20% off code via email for requesting the DVD (my first code ever). But, the dates don't include our travel dates for April 26-May 4. I'm just happy I got the 10% off with AAA. At least it's something...

maybe I thought about us girls matching at Christmas but I don't like turtlenecks. So now I am thinking Easter.
Of course I need a whole new wardrobe as all my pants and shorts are big on me. I can put at least one hand inside the waistband of my pants and shorts without pulling in my stomach. I was wearing a size 14. in Jan, Feb of last year. Not sure what size I need now. I have big hips so thats whats helping the pants stay up.

Somebody just posted that they called and got $700 knocked off their package without a code. The CM just put her on hold and came back and said she is a "special guest", whatever THAT means.

I am special, too! For the bargain price of RACK RATE I get to stay 3 nights AKL CL!

I ordered the DVD but haven't gotten anything (including the DVD!). I don't think those dates will help us, either. We need a code that starts before Aug. 10. I do have the 15% AAA discount on our pool view room, but the CL is still at rack.

Alyssa went to the doctor, and has just a viral cold. He said it is going around and almost as bad as the flu. So she will just get motrin and lots of water. I also found out that our ped is retiring at the end of April. So now I have to be on the search for a new one. John asked if I wanted to do it or if I wanted him to. DUH! That's a no-brainer. Who knows what criteria he would use to judge a good doctor!

I suspect that what I have is viral too. I'll give it the weekend before going to the doctors.

Our Ped retired in December. Right now we will just see someone on the same team. They are recruiting 3 new peds, but not all have been hired. Once they are fully staffed we will make a decision. We LOVED our ped so there will be no replacing him, but just finding someone to fill the role Chris actually predicted the ped we had as he went to school with his sons. We had an excellent repoir and he knew our parenting style which made things so much easier.

Please pray for those who are affected by the shooting at Northern Illinois University....we have many friends who have children there and were absolutely shocked to get the call that this has happened. You can only imagine the fear and the chaos going on with these parents.

Lots of prayers for all the families involved. I thought of you when I heard the horrible news.

DS went through a weird phase about this point in second grade, but I think he was 8, not 7. Maybe Joe is just hitting that point a year earlier? I hope he is able to talk to you about whatever is going on. DS likes to tell me his secrets at bedtime, when he is already in the bed and should be going to sleep.

Ugh I'm sick Chills or Sweats, fever, cough, sore throat and ear ache. Along with some body aches. I think it might be the flu I haven't slept well the last couple of nights.

There is SO much going around here that schools are even closing because so many kids are sick. Lizzy said 9 kids in her class of 24 were sick one day this week. I'm glad they are out of school next week-maybe everyone can stop sharing this crap back and forth. I am SO ready for spring!!!!

So my mom was sick last week she called me last Friday to tell me that she was sick and running a fever. She had started feeling achy last Wed. then on Thur. she developed a fever. So Jeff and I rearranged schedules on Sat and his day off Mon he switched to Tues so I could work he worked Mon. Mom says on Wed. she is feeling better and can watch the girls yesterday. I get home at 815 last night and mom calls me and says around 4:30 she started feeling achy again and at 5:30 she took her temp it was 102 which for her is very high her normal is 97.6 same as me. Jeff did not pick the girls up till 6:45. So I might have to call in tomorrow if she is still sick. We are supposed to go to Waco next weekend. I hope the girls don't get sick.

Hope your Mom gets better soon and you, DH and the girls can stay healthy.

Well since Sun. she has slept their every night of course Daddy was snuggling her and reading her a story Sunday night and he fell asleep in their with her. But she slept in her room all night did not throw a fit about it.

Leighanna has her Valentine party today. She is excited! She made up all of her classmates cards all by herself. Now mind you, I can't read half of the names she wrote, but she clearly can tell you which card goes to each of her friends. She did pick out Disney cards to give out. That's my girl!

I need to finally get around to canceling the Segway tour I'd booked for May, cancel an excess Dec. reservation, and get my revised dining plans finally squared away for May!

I was on the phone with Disney Dining today and had a great rep so I made an ADR for the 4 of us (you, your Mom, me, & Emma) for Tusker House on May 5th at 10:30. It is EE at AK that morning so that would give us time to do a few rides before breakfast. That is what Joe & I did and it worked out great. It was a bit when we first got there but it got nice and quiet as the place started to empty out. I can always call and cancel or change if it doesn't fit your schedule.

I ordered the DVD but haven't gotten anything (including the DVD!).

Me too! Haven't even received an email saying it is on its way.

I do have AAA on Pop for May but hope to get an AP. I also have AAA on ASMu Family Suites for August and I believe I will NOT get anything better than that.

I just called AGAIN to check for a discount and I have nothing. She looked for a AAA discount on my CL days (which I already knew wasn't there) and then I asked her if there were any other discounts available of any kind. Nope.

I'm pretty sure the 20% off that comes with the DVD doesn't start until 8/10, and we have the 30% Bounce Back for those days.

I just got an e-mail from DS's Science teacher. I noticed yesterday that he has 2 "zero" grades listed and they are REALLY hurting his overall grade! Those 2 things dropped him from an A to a C. One was the zero from the paper he forgot to turn in, and one is a brand NEW zero on another paper he says he completed. I had him look for it in his folder and it wasn't in there. The teacher said she did give him credit for his first paper, and she said she will look for the other missing one and talk to him about it on Monday. I am pleased with that response.

Who has a Disney Visa? Have you ever had any weird problems with them? A bunch of folks on the Budget Board (who all have flawless credit, of course) are reporting all sorts of horrible things. Our card is still pretty new, and I just paid it off so if they do something bizarre with the APR it won't matter. Our first 6 months were 0%, and I knew that was ending so I didn't want to have a balance on it. But now even if I am going to pay it off every month I am kind of nervous about using it! Which is silly, but those Budget folks are making me paranoid!

I came to work today and am actually feeling better than I would. I'm so glad I came in to get a few things straightened out. I forgot about the holiday Monday. It would have been tough coming back to this mess on Tuesday.


I called Disney Dining and made a few ADR's. I'm sure there will be changes before August but it is a start. I need to get in touch with Terry to see if she & Halley will be joining us on either or both weekends and if she wants to do any table service meals. I tried to make an ADR for Sci Fi for the 7 of us but I couldn't. We did just go in November with her so maybe we should try something else.

The CM also told me to be sure to call back on Monday and ask about AP holders getting the DDP. She didn't say much about it but just told me to call back on Monday. I wonder if you can still get AP discount on the room and just add DDP without a park ticket?

I tried to book Raglan Road but that can only be done at exactly 180 days.

I still want to do Sci Fi at some point, Raglan Road, Plaza, California Grill for DH & Lizzy, maybe a Fantasmic dinner package, maybe Big River Grille, the kids love Garden Grill but I wasn't real happy with it the last 2 times. So still lots of thinking to do after I'm feeling 100%. Terry might like Cape May breakfast so maybe I should plan that with her. I want to do some CS at DTD also-Earl of Sandwich & Wolfgang Puck.

He got all mad because he says it is too expensive and he doesn't want me to book it. But he REALLY wants to do that. He has wanted to do it for a very long time, so I do plan to call back in May and book it. If he can convince me he doesn't want to go I will cancel it. Better to book it and have the ressie instead of trying to get one last minute.

Our card is still pretty new, and I just paid it off so if they do something bizarre with the APR it won't matter. Our first 6 months were 0%, and I knew that was ending so I didn't want to have a balance on it. But now even if I am going to pay it off every month I am kind of nervous about using it! Which is silly, but those Budget folks are making me paranoid!

The only problem I had was my own fault. It was after the diaster of a trip in October 2005. 9 nights at Poly CL room only with a AAA discount. So I paid the balance of 8 nights on my Disney Visa at check in and all other trip expenses so I had something like a $6,000 balance due when I got home. That was the trip that I was convinced I would never go to Disney again after so I came home in a really nasty mood and then we all got sick so I ended up missing the payment. I had a late fee and a huge interest charge and then that put me into revolving credit so I had to pay interest on the next month too. AND they didn't credit me the $60 of rewards dollars either. BUT....as soon as I got it all paid they did give me the $60.

It did cure me of my concierge habbit.

I've continued to use my Disney Visa as I know I will use the rewards and they are easy to use. I just have to order a new card so I can use it to buy my AP in May.

Same thing happened with my Amex Jet Blue card only thier billing cycle is a lot smaller so I missed the payment after my August trip. I don't think I will let happen again.

i need to ask for some pixie dust sent to Desirae. she left her husband last night after a huge fight. they are going to try and work it out and she is/has given him some ultimatums for her to stay around. she is going to talk with him tonight and tell him what he needs to change and what she wants them to work on. he has an appointment for him to try and get his anger issues under control on Tuesday. i am really hoping this helped him see whats going on. thanks for the ears to listen.

Let me ask you guys a computer question--i have no idea if this will even make sense..but as i am typing, after a few words, the letters i am hitting will go in the middle of another sentence--it seems to be wherever the cursor is pointing...Any ideas how to fix this? it is making it really ahrd to type!

Someone may have already answered, but it's taking me awhile to catch up. Are you using a laptop? Does it have a touch pad mouse? I find that my thump brushes the pad sometimes without my realizing it and when it does it moves my "typing spot" to whereever the cursor was pointing.

I haven't. I will do some research. Even if we can buy it without being required to purchase park passes I still won't buy it, because the park passes weren't the deal breaker for us. If we can buy it and still have a discount on the room I will think about it.

Yep. It is a 48 hour cancellation thing so as long as I don't forget to cancel it I think it is wise to book it.
