DDA Chapter 3

:scared1: Miles has an eye tooth coming in high and on top of the baby tooth. I really need to call the dentist and start saving for the orthodontist. I was hoping that one of the three wouldn't need to see the orthodontist, but I guess not.

Maybe he won't need much work from the orthodontist. :wizard:

Beth - I can't believe how grown up you kids are. Matthew is quite a handsome young man and Laura is beautiful. Her dress is very pretty.

I agree!

For those of you that have traveled to WDW in the summer...June, July, August....how are the crowds? I was looking at a website that shows 9s for pretty much all of June and July, then they drop down in the beginning of August. I'm considering a quick trip down sometime this summer. Right now airfare on SW is $160.

I have said before that I can't ever tell the difference in crowds. Except that PM EMH at MK was so packed last August that we turned around and left - it was nose to tail through every inch of the park! We always get to the parks early and we don't find that too crowded at all.

Thanks Anne Marie. Unfortunately, in August my only option would be the second week, due to my work schedule. My other options are the week of June 23, or pretty much anytime in July.

Second week works for me! :)

Nicholas has decided on a science fair project. He is going to test how well disinfectants work. He will grow bacteria on a dirty cutting board, clean different areas with different cleaners and then culture the swabs in petri dishes. I think it will be quite interesting, and SIMPLE!

Cool! Be sure to use cleaners with different active ingredients, not just different brands.

Deb congrats to Nick:cheer2:

Yay, Nick! :yay:

Well the nurse call to have us come get Katie. She's running a fever & her head hurts...everyone, I mean everyone is sick at her school..all with strep!

Oh, dear! You guys are really going through the wringer with this!

I did it!!! I just booked 4 nights at the Beach Club, Aug. 11-15!!!! :yay::Pinkbounc

YAY!!! See you there!! :cool1:
Want to join the rest of us for dinner at Cape May on Aug. 14? :goodvibes

By not having anything on top, there is nothing to keep it from just sliding down! :lmao:

Here is what I would do in a strapless dress:
I would sit down, somehow step on the hem of the dress as I stood up, and pull the whole thing down to my waist.:scared1: No strapless for me.

So I've been looking through restaurants to get an idea of where to eat. I'm wanting to try new things. Which do you think is better....Tony's or The Plaza? Rose and Crown or Biergarten? How is the dinner at 1900 Park Fare? We've only done bfast there.

We really like The Plaza, but it is just a simple place. I have NEVER heard anything good about Tony's.:scared:
Never done either of the Epcot places.
Jury is still out on dinner at 1900 PF. Since the remodel the dinner is not getting good reviews.

My boss called a bit ago. They are still planning to open though he is cutting back on staff. Right now I am still scheduled to work as some people have already called in. If I get horrible road reports as my family heads home from work then I won't go in even if it leaves them short. I cannot imagine that it will be even remotely busy.

We had an accident on the Interstate Bridge that we can see from our house. I heard it first then saw the car heading in the wrong direction  It has been cleaned up now and traffic is moving. Dad was on his weekly run for work and he had a pickup pass him only to get about 300 yards in front of him, spin around and hit the ledges. He stopped and the guy was ok. That just shows you what an hour of this stuff can do to roads.

Looking out now it has changed to a wintery mix. How is everyone else's weather?

I liked dinner at 1900 Park Fare myself but I've seen a lot of negative reviews. We'll be going there in March because I want to see the stepsisters.

Never tried Tony's, the Plaza, or Biergarten. We enjoyed Rose & Crown.

not sure where we re eating at yet. Rainforest cafe probably breakfast GC, either Norway princess or Crystal Palace, Possibly Hollywood and Vine late Breakfast.
I think the rest will be counter service. Except CapeMay Clam Bake

Vicki - I am glad the extractions went well!

I booked that one-way ticket for DH today. It's good that I had it on hold because it is back up to $178.:scared: I know that's probably just for the weekend and it will go back down next week, but I am really glad to just have it done. After 16 days of togetherness maybe DH will WANT to go home on a different flight so I'll have more choices!:rotfl2:

We have been to The Plaza 3 or 4 times and we have always had a good experience. The kids menu has 2 mini cheeseburgers that DS likes. He gets tomato soup, mini burgers w/ fries, and ice cream from the kids menu for about $8 and it is too much for him to finish. AND they take the DDE.

Tammi - The DDE is only valid at CS places where they don't have TS, which is the food courts at the Value resorts. It WAS valid at AK counter service because the only TS was Rainforest Cafe outside the gates. Not sure if Y&Y and Tusker being buffet has changed that rule, but it very well could mean it is no longer valid at AK CS.

Me and the kids. Our APs will still be valid so I wanted to get another trip out of them. I won't do the dining plan, and may or may not do the DDE. Does that work on CS or only TS meals?

Mostly TS meals but it also worked on some CS. My understanding is it worked at the CS in Animal Kingdom because there was no TS. Now that they have TS, I don't know if that will change. I understand it also works at the CS in the resorts without a TS.

Tammi

We ate at Biergarten and it was one of our best meals. Emma and Molly loved it, especially the band. Had we been closer to the dance floor we would have let them go down and dance. The food was delicious, but we love German food. We sat next to 2 older business men. I apologized to them as of all the tables they got stuck at the one with 3 kids. They were really nice and we had a great conversation with them. Did any of you know that back when MK opened they offered Lifetime Passes for the bargain price of $200. He said if only he would have bought them, but he has 3 kids so it would have been a lot of money back then!

We had a great time at 1900 PF. We had the first dinner seating. This worked out well, we were also the 2nd table for the character visits. Eric and I enjoyed the food, they have it set up by areas of the world, I think it was Italy, Spain and Asian and then prime rib and turkey. Molly loved the strawberry soup. The character interaction is priceless. Because the characters talk it's hilarious and over the top! Drizella leads the kids in the celebration. The girls liked that. Here are some pics...

This is my fave:love:

Robyn, those pics are awesome!
:rotfl2: The stepsisters are SOOO funny! I am hoping to hear more good reviews of 1900 PF dinner. Not sure where I would fit that in, but I bet I could manage if I thought it was worthwhile!;)

I'm glad to see that the Prince is still there. Here is one of my favorite Disney pictures.

We did an 11:20am ADR fro H&V. We actually got in at 11am as they took us in as soon as we checked in. They were in the process of closing down breakfast to put up lunch. So if I had to do it again, I wouldn't book any later than 10:30am. The upside is that our waitress said we were more than welcome to eat off the lunch buffet if we wanted to. We didn't as we were full already. Leo and June were not great in their interaction. It seemed as if Leo did not want to stop, there were not many families in the restaurant. Now JoJo and Goliath were another story. JoJo could not stay away from Lucy. She would find her way back to us time and time again. They were awesome!!

Here is where we are eating in March.

Tusker House breakfast
Restaurant Akershus breakfast
LeCellier dinner
Liberty Tree dinner
Cape May dinner
1900 Park Fare dinner
Yak & Yeti dinner
Ohana dinner

We only have one meal set so far in June at the Castle for breakfast.

Thanks! I think you would have a blast. It's almost impossible not to enjoy it with the characters!

We really liked the Prince. He was very princely.:rotfl:

I have been fighting with the photopass site most of the day. Between that and the kids I want to bang my head against a brick wall :headache: :headache: :headache:

The rain has turned the kids into animals today. It's not been pleasant to say the least.

we had 11am last time I agree about Leo, but June was very funny. she would grab sugar or sweet n low packets and then as she walked around she would throw them over her shoulder.
I was thinking of late breakfast so as they changed over we could have that if we wanted.

We went to dinner at 1900 PF in August of 2006. We got Aurora instead of Cinderella, which was fine, but we had seen her before. We got a pic with her and then the batteries in the camera died! We had plenty of batteries but there were all in the room, not in my backpack.:guilty: So we missed getting a pic of the Prince and Suzy & Perla. The mice were terrific! They liked to rub DH's head.:rotfl2: (It is sort of fuzzy.)

Sorry.:guilty: Hopefully the boys will go home soon! How is the new one working out?

Yes we are:cool1:

Yay!!

Well, I hear that the LOVELY idiots next door are still sawing away! I just put Princess in her bed. :headache: She had a crummy nap yesterday thanks to them, then she got mad at Momboss last night and made herself throw up so she didn't get a very good start on her night's sleep.
