DDA Chapter 3

Nick had his awards ceremony this morning and he did receive High Honors.

I know that I am prejudiced, but I really think that Nick is the most handsome guy in the whole 6th grade. It really struck me today as I watched all the other kids getting there awards. I can see him being a real heart breaker in a couple of years :flower3:

ETA: The eyes don't do him justice

I think he's adorable, and I'm not prejudiced in the least! You and Chris are going to have your hands full one both Nick and Hunter begin attracting females! Add Colby to the mix, and you are going to be in some serious trouble!!

I don't think we have any interest in H&V since the characters are the Little Einsteins. I don't think my kids are into them. Maybe a few years ago, but not now. So that leaves us with Mama Melrose's since we aren't too hip on SciFi or Primetime.

We loved Mama Melrose!!

SO....even though it is eons away, Cassidy would like to go to a "fancy" restaurant on our stay for her Graduation trip. What she mean is she wants to have go back and change into dressy clothes for a dinner.

What is your favorite "fancy" restaurant in WDW???

Hmm - I'd probably have to go with Cali Grill or Narcoossee's as my faves! There's really not a bad one in the bunch, though.

Tammi let me know what days you are thinking of doing what parks
I just renewed my sub to TGM so as soon as he publishes his best days I'll be able to tell you.

Robyn the pics are just awesome....what three cuties you have!!:goodvibes

With Cassidy's schedule this summer...it looks like we will be in your area around the middle of July...you have any plans??

Tammi, is yourBob coming or is it just you with your kids?
That is up in the air right now. He is waiting for me to present him with a 'cost analysis'. If he does come with, it would be just him, not his daughter.

Cali Grill, but it's the only fancy restaurant I've been to. :rotfl:

Citrico's, but we haven't been to Cali Grill yet so my answer might change.

Ive never subscribed to tour guide Mike:rolleyes1

Me, either. I have the 2008 Unofficial Guide but I just use it for the crowd calendar. I don't follow the "best park" for each day suggestions.

Ah! I see. He has until next Thursday to decide. ;)

DH says we have a note from UPS that they have a "signature required" box for us. I guess they will bring it back tomorrow? Do they deliver on Saturdays? :confused3
EDIT:
No, they don't deliver onSaturdays according to their website. Well, that's not good because nobody will ever be home when they come back!

What a horrible morning it's been here! It started snowing around 2:00, and by the time I left for bowling there were 7 inches on my driveway. Luckily, it stopped while I was bowling, so my drive home was fine. DH did a pretty good job corralling the kids, so I don't have a ton of clean up to do!

Not much going on around here this afternoon. Jacob has a birthday party in about an hour, but other than that, we're just hanging around.

Thanks for all the dining recommendations. Here is how my list is shaping up:

Beaches & Cream
Cape May
1900 Park Fare
ESPN Zone
Biergarten
The Plaza

Hmmmm....looks like I have one too many restaurants. :confused3 :rotfl:

There is usually a place to sign the note and then leave it stuck on your door if you want them to leave the package.

Here I am asking for prayers and pixie dust. My 17 year old niece found out several months ago that she is pregnant. She knows that she can't make a marriage work at this age, and she really doesn't want to try. She and Brandon made the decision to place the baby up for adoption, but his parents are trying to talk them out of it. They do not want to help raise the baby, they want the kids to get married, and raise the baby on their own. Could you please pray that they will stay out of this until the baby is placed? Thanks.

Prayers & pixiedust: for your niece and Brandon. This is always such a hard decision. I've seen it from both sides - the birth mother and the adoptive mother. I have two different cousins that experienced each side. My cousin that gave up her daughter made the very tough, but intelligent decision to give her baby up for adoption when she was 17. A year or two later, my favorite cousin found out they couldn't have kids and adopted. How sad for the birth parents but without this difficult decision, my favorite cousin would never have had the pleasure of being a mommy.

Grandma's Boyfriend- This is pretty funny. I hope no one is offended.

A five year old boy went to visit his grandmother one day.
Playing with his toys in her bedroom while grandma was dusting, he looked up and said, "Grandma, how come you don't have a boyfriend now that Grandpa went to heaven?"

Grandma replied, "Honey my TV is my boyfriend. I can sit in my bedroom and watch it all day long. The religious programs make me feel good and the comedies make me laugh. I'm happy with my TV as my boyfriend."

Grandma turned on the TV, and the reception was terrible. She started adjusting the knobs, trying to get the picture in focus. Frustrated she started hitting the backside of the TV hoping to fix the problem.

The little boy heard the doorbell ring, so he hurried to open the door and there stood Grandma's minister.

The minister said, "Hello son, is your Grandma home?"

The little boy replied, "Yeah, she's in the bedroom bangin' her boyfriend."

The minister fainted.
