DDA Chapter 3

These are the outfits that Vicki was referring to. I bought the shorts and made the shirts to match. We got a ton of comments from other guests and CMs. Each shirt has a hidden character too.

Those are some close ups. I'm not sure where the one of me disappeared to :rolleyes1 :confused3

I thought I was responding on the boutique thread ... I guess you caught me "cheating" .:rolleyes1:

No :sad2: The plows are out though!

Really?!?! How much did you get? Our schools were all cancelled as of last night. We ended up with about 7" at our house and the official at the airport was 8.6". It was not very pretty driving Phil to work at 5:45 this morning. By 11 when I took Mom, it was much better. Of course, it took me 2 hours to clear the driveway. Guess I got my exercise in for the day!

They will be gone by 4:30!!

He's doing pretty well, considering he has never been in this type of setting before. He is exhausting though. I am constantly stopping him from doing something he shouldn't be. At home he is left in his room with a baby gate at the door. So there is nothing that is off limits there but that's not the case here. And he is a food and drink thief!

I hope Princess can get a decent nap today. Last night certainly doesn't seem to be her norm.

Sorry.:guilty: Hopefully the boys will go home soon! How is the new one working out?

Yay!!

Well, I hear that the LOVELY idiots next door are still sawing away! I just put Princess in her bed. :headache: She had a crummy nap yesterday thanks to them, then she got mad at Momboss last night and made herself throw up so she didn't get a very good start on her night's sleep.

And you also tattled on me. :lmao:

For those of you that have traveled to WDW in the summer...June, July, August....how are the crowds? I was looking at a website that shows 9s for pretty much all of June and July, then they drop down in the beginning of August. I'm considering a quick trip down sometime this summer. Right now airfare on SW is $160.

Our one early-mid August trip was prety good crowd wise. I think we were there around the 10th. We didn't have many long waits and were able to get a lot done with 4 days with a group of 8, including many newbies.

Is it 4:30 yet? ;)
That sounds like a challenge! Just hang in there and he will get used to your rules. What kind of parents barricade their child in a room? Never mind.:sad2:

Dadboss usually gets Princess down for bed at night but he wasn't home until after she went to bed. Princess has had a little bit of a cough/congestion so I think she worked herself into a lather and then gagged.

And you also tattled on me. :lmao:

Shame, shame, shame!

Good afternoon, DDA!

Great sewing projects, Deb and Vicki! They look wonderful.

Janet and Chanon - I like your PS projects.

Robyn - One more hour to go!

Other snowbound folks - Be careful out there! We're finally looking clear on the roads so we should be out of the woods now.

Tammi - Congrats on the booking! Sounds like a lot of fun.

Not sure what else I missed as Kristi was talking to me as I caught up so here's some :wave2: :wizard: and :grouphug: for everyone else.

Great! So Cape May on Thursday, August 14, after 6 PM, party of 18?

That includes me (3), Bernadette (5), Janet (3), Jennifer (4), and Tammi (3). Is that right? Tammi, is yourBob coming or is it just you with your kids?

That looks like 11 adults, 6 children and baby Virginia. Is that right?

Deb - I talked to Alan and he says, Yes you can connect to your computer to upload new maps! He gives the Garmin 2 thumbs up!

SO....even though it is eons away, Cassidy would like to go to a "fancy" restaurant on our stay for her Graduation trip. What she mean is she wants to have go back and change into dressy clothes for a dinner.

What is your favorite "fancy" restaurant in WDW???

Tammi

We ate at Biergarten and it was one of our best meals. Emma and Molly loved it, especially the band. Had we been closer to the dance floor we would have let them go down and dance. The food was delicious, but we love German food. We sat next to 2 older business men. I apologized to them as of all the tables they got stuck at the one with 3 kids. They were really nice and we had a great conversation with them. Did any of you know that back when MK opened they offered Lifetime Passes for the bargain price of $200. He said if only he would have bought them, but he has 3 kids so it would have been a lot of money back then!

We had a great time at 1900 PF. We had the first dinner seating. This worked out well, we were also the 2nd table for the character visits. Eric and I enjoyed the food, they have it set up by areas of the world, I think it was Italy, Spain and Asian and then prime rib and turkey. Molly loved the strawberry soup. The character interaction is priceless. Because the characters talk it's hilarious and over the top! Drizella leads the kids in the celebration. The girls liked that. Here are some pics...

This is my fave:love:

Robyn, those are great pictures! I think you definitely sold me on the dinner. My kids will love it!

I put these pictures on photobucket a while ago but didn't get around to posting them.

This is Matthew as John Bender in the high school production of Breakfast Club.

Here is Laura in her Snowball dress. I have a few photos of her with her hair done, too, but I haven't put them on Photobucket yet. The dance wasn't really her thing. I guess there was too much dancing going on (especially amongst her friends) that was "disgusting." She just wasn't comfortable.

Your kids look so grown up! Matthew looks great! Did he have fun in the play? Laura looks gorgeous!

We did an 11:20am ADR fro H&V. We actually got in at 11am as they took us in as soon as we checked in. They were in the process of closing down breakfast to put up lunch. So if I had to do it again, I wouldn't book any later than 10:30am. The upside is that our waitress said we were more than welcome to eat off the lunch buffet if we wanted to. We didn't as we were full already. Leo and June were not great in their interaction. It seemed as if Leo did not want to stop, there were not many families in the restaurant. Now JoJo and Goliath were another story. JoJo could not stay away from Lucy. She would find her way back to us time and time again. They were awesome!!
I don't think we have any interest in H&V since the characters are the Little Einsteins. I don't think my kids are into them. Maybe a few years ago, but not now. So that leaves us with Mama Melrose's since we aren't too hip on SciFi or Primetime.
