DDA Chapter 3

The snow has started. It's not too bad yet. Hopefully the kids will make it home on the bus before things start to get slick. DB called and he went into work an hour early so he will be home before I need to leave for work. He will watch all of the kids so they will not have to travel this afternoon. That makes things much easier.

I need to make luch as Colby is starving to death :rotfl:

Sounds like a great science project! would love to hear the results.

Nicholas has decided on a science fair project. He is going to test how well disinfectants work. He will grow bacteria on a dirty cutting board, clean different areas with different cleaners and then culture the swabs in petri dishes. I think it will be quite interesting, and SIMPLE!

:wizard: for Katie! Glad to hear you are feeling a little better.

Well the nurse call to have us come get Katie. She's running a fever & her head hurts...everyone, I mean everyone is sick at her school..all with strep!

Glad to hear you are feeling better as well Terry, drive safely!

I am feeling much better today.

I am just able to get in my car to go to work. We had ice and my doors were frozen until now.

Now to see how the roads are while driving into work.

Well I need to get the snow off my truck & get to work. Have a great day all!

I did it!!! I just booked 4 nights at the Beach Club, Aug. 11-15!!!! :yay::Pinkbounc

:cool1: :cool1: That's Great. Is this for you and the kids or is this an adult trip?
Me and the kids. Our APs will still be valid so I wanted to get another trip out of them. I won't do the dining plan, and may or may not do the DDE. Does that work on CS or only TS meals?

Good luck with the wisdom teeth.

I think that I would shorten the dress into a top and make the straps from the fabric. If you are anything like me...and I know that you are...You will wear a top much more than a dress.

You know me too well. :lmao:

We are home from the wisdom teeth extraction. She is doing quite well. She keeps saying "I didn't cry!" That is a big accomplishment because she was truly scared. She brought her teddy bear with her in the car (it was wrapped up in her blanket). The first time she was fine but the first one was so bad that she has really been dreading this. She has had a chocolate malt and a vicodin. She is now sitting in the recliner with frozen peas on each side.

Beth - I can't believe how grown up you kids are. Matthew is quite a handsome young man and Laura is beautiful. Her dress is very pretty.

I am just going to quote Tammi on this, Beth. She said it perfectly!

That looks great, Vicki! I would have thought that not having much on top would mean that you would be ok strapless. I can't imagine ever going strapless myself...that would be a wardrobe malfunction in the making!

By not having anything on top, there is nothing to keep it from just sliding down! :lmao:

For those of you that have traveled to WDW in the summer...June, July, August....how are the crowds? I was looking at a website that shows 9s for pretty much all of June and July, then they drop down in the beginning of August. I'm considering a quick trip down sometime this summer. Right now airfare on SW is $160.

your ticker looks like you already made up your mind! :rotfl:

We used to go around my birthday in July or Kristin's birthday in August. Temps were horrible, but really not any worse than here! And crownds varied a LOT. I think with your knowledge of the parks you will be fine!

I'll just ditto the perfect words!!

All I can get is 6100 & 6102.

That wouldn't be bad - definitely go toward the aft of the ship before you go forward! Are you getting two cabins? If not, I probably woudn't want one with a connecting door...

And like Chanon said, we backed into Castaway Cay, so we faced the beaches. We also backed into Nassau, too, so we were overlooking the water, vs. the port. It's my understanding, though, that they can go in either way, though, so it's not guaranteed that you'll get one view over the other. We never heard any noise in our cabin.

We are not doing a lot of TS meals this trip. At the moment(this could always change :rotfl: )I am planning on booing CP for lunch, Tusker House for breakfast, & WCC for lunch. Plus we will be having dinner at Cape May with you & Bernadette & hopefully Jennifer!

It took me a minute to realize you left out the "k" Janet, and I was wondering why you wanted to boo CP?!?! :rotfl: :rotfl:

It's a Friday for sure!

I have been messing around with photoshop today. I have had it forever & never really did anything with it other than editing pictures. So I read a little today & TA DA!

Still need to read a lot more, but this is a start :thumbsup2

Love them!

I liked your new page, too, Chanon!

Everyone's being so crafty lately! Very impressive. :thumbsup2

I like the use of the filmstrip Chanon. We used that as one of the reoccurring themes in a yearbook one year. I couldn't help but notice rehearsal is spelled wrong though. One of the advantages of digital scrapbooking...an easy fix! :)

All this talk of teeth brings back bad memories for me! My baby teeth were very slow to fall out, so my orthodontist was always ordering extractions. I had 16 of them pulled! My eye teeth came in so high, it looked like I had fangs. Then (believe it or not ;) ) he said my mouth was too small, so I had to have four permanent molars pulled and my wisdom teeth dug out, too.

So, I only have 24 permanent teeth, but after a couple years of braces, I wasn't so self-conscious about smiling anymore! :teeth:

Well, you have a great smile, so it all seems to have been worth it! :thumbsup2

Here are the pictures of the finished shirt. Isn't my model handsome :goodvibes

Great job! :thumbsup2 And the model ain't half bad, either! ;)

Thanks for all the compliments on the dress. I bought some ribbon tonight but didn't end up liking it together. I'll have to figure out something different tomorrow.

I am off to bed because we have Katrina's appointment early tomorrow for her wisdom teeth. I will need to get up so that I can get some paperwork together to do while I'm there with her. Last time with Becky it was at least an hour or so.

I'm sure it's probably already over, but I hope this appt. went much better for Katrina than her last one! :wizard:

congrats to Nick, Deb. Other than the glowing eyes, he is looking very handsome! ;)

Since I don't have other times of the year to judge by....we thought it was fine last July. We also knew we were going to go back. We got all we wanted to get done and then some with little waiting. Our longest stand by time was for POTC/Test Track at just about a half hour. A lot of what we did was walk on.

Of course I learned a lot from you all:lovestruc
