Deb cant wait to see pics of the closet.
Thanks! I was able to book the flights we wanted for $238 which isn't too bad these days. We've already decided to spend the night at the Logan Hyatt the night before so we can relax there before the trip starts instead of getting up at the crack of dawn and hope for no traffic issues. The flights that had been open through 5/3 had a 8am flight and a 10am flight but for 5/11 we were able to book an 8:45am flight. The 4pm flight coming home was $30 more so we booked the 6pm flight that arrives at 9pm. More time at Disney.Bernadette I hope you get the flights that you want.
Hello allAnyone have a Wii fit plus with the board that you no longer want & would like to sell? I am looking to buy one & have been keeping an eye on Ebay. Thought I would check here as well.
&
to all!
I want to be done with Christmas shopping before my next surgery.
Here's what I've got or have planned.
Lizzy: Nintendo DSi. Her Nintendo isn't tracking right and we've tried recalibrating it but that doesn't fix it. I really don't think she needs a computer yet-would rather keep control with them using my Mac or notebook. She's not that into music so I don't think she needs an ipod. I think she'll be very happy with the DSi. I'm leaning toward the XL. I also get her perfume & a T at Aeropastale, Red Sox & Patriot Ts, snow gloves, Pook a Looz toy to match her Pooh Pook a Looz we got at WDW,...I thought she'd be the hardest but she's the easiest so far. I also know she'd LOVE fleece sheets. I might suggest that to SIL for her. I don't know if the other 2 would like them or not.
Joe: Night vision binoculars, new Sherman Brother DVD coming out in Nov, Digital voice recorder-he wants a tape player but he will love this! I saw one at BJs but that only recorded in wma so he'd need to convert the files for my Mac. I got a Sony that records in MP3 and connects with a USB. Jeff Lange DVDs, Apples to Apples Disney edition, Pixar book, ....his birthday is less than 2 weeks after Christmas so I need stuff for that too
Emma: I got her a bunch of Schleich toys including a Safari truck and even though I spent a fortune I feel like she needs something else. I got her a Lego airplane but was thinking of giving her that for her birthday-it might make a bigger impression at Christmas & I can keep some of the Schleich for her bday. I think I'll get her a Webkinz as she has never had one. I was thinking of getting all 3 of them Webkinz hamsters for their stockings but I want to get her a dog too. I want to get Wii Petz Sports that I know she'll love-maybe I'll but that in her pile rather than with the "group" Wii stuff.
I make or buy the kids PJ's and give them to them every Christmas eve. Last year I made them PJ's. I don't know that I'll be up for that this year. I ordered Emma & Lizzy fleece Scottie Dog PJ's on clearance from Lands End. Then the next day I got an email that all clearance items were another 20% off so I called and they said they would issue me a credit. So they were $10 each. I haven't found any for Joe yet. After I ordered I thought I should get Halley some for Christmas as they only have electric heat so I know their house gets cold but they were out of her size. I also got Lizzy a cute swim suit and nice white blouse. We went through the winter jackets and Lizzy & Joe both need new ones. I ordered one for Lizzy on the Lands End clearance but didn't see any for Joe. They keep having sales so I'm sure this year styles will go on sale soon and I can get one for Joe.
DH: I want to get him Wii fish but can't think of much else for him. He doesn't need any clothes and doesn't like "things". Maybe I'll get him to agree to no gifts.
I ordered my MIL a pot holder from the gift wrap place through school fund raiser and always give her school photos of the kids. I think I'll make her a calendar. I don't have many ideas for DH's other family. I think he'll have to handle things this year.
I've order 3 video games for Hunter. Toyrus had a buy2 get one free deal last week. I've also bought a dorm fridge for my BD and DSIL for their camper. Other than that I haven't started. My Dad is buying a new truck so hopefully we can get him an accessory for that and have him done. He is so hard to buy for.
Another uber busy day. I brought the kids to school then headed to my interview. It went really well. Why is it that I always leave interviews feeling like I'll get the job, but still no offersI bet they make everyone feel that way. After the interview I called my Dad and he met me at Home Depot. We picked up the materials that we need for our closet project and got those into my basement before the Nor Easter hits us tomorrow. I hadn't planned on starting the project until tomorrow since I had to pick the boys up early for Doctor's appointments. I dropped Hunter back off at the house as he didn't have an appt and Dad was here. At some point Dad cut the wallboard for the door opening. I had it all outlined anyway. Colby's appointment went well and we're not changing his meds since he is doing so well. The doctor was concerned that he had lost 10 lbs, but after a long discussion we realized that he may have been eating to self sooth or cope before his meds. We'll keep an eye on his weight, but I think he really has leveled out. Next was Nick's derm appt. He has had issues with his meds causing him a lot of tummy trouble. The doctor said she has a 14 year old son and if she were in our shoes she would put her son on accutane. After hearing all the pros and cons we have decided to give it a try. He will need to have monthly blood draws and doctor's checks. The med can have side effects, but is much more dangerous for women. If this works he should be acne free in 5 -6 months and should never have problems again. Obviously I hate the idea of meds, but he really does have severe acne and we'll be keeping a close eye on him. If we see any signs of side effects we'll stop immediately.
We came home to a dishwasher that wasn't draining. Still don't know why, but Chris messed with it enough to drain it for now and he'll tear it apart this weekend. I also disconnect a light switch that we don't need and got the wires out of the way. Hopefully I'll get a chance to start building tomorrow though I'll have to do it alone. I'm excited to get this project done.
Katrina used Accutane a couple of years ago (I believe she was 22). Her acne was really, really bad. She had to have monthly blood draws and pregnancy tests. Acne is very bad in Chuck's family and bad in mine. His sister has scars on her back from the acne she had as a teenager/young adult. The major side effect for Katrina during the treatments was extremely dry, painful skin. She has said many times that it was worth it. We are praying that there are no long term effects.
