The PSA for the day:
IT'S HOT OUTSIDE! STAY INDOORS IN THE A/C.
Our temp....103, with a heat index of 121. This is insane.
Jennifer - I wish I could stay on here and chat with you. Nothing worse than being bored and finding nothing to do. I have compositions I need to work on or I would stay.
It is 103 here already with a heat index of 121. It is stifling.
silly me only brought one book to read today to work. I am on the AP unit and we have 3 patients total for 2 nurses. I have already finished my book.

I'm going to go home and crack an egg onto the sidewalk, just to see what happens.
I don't know the answer to your question concerning when one no longer notices how hot it really is, Tia. All I can tell you is that here in Fredericksburg today we set a new record: 106. I don't know what the heat index was at that point. I can tell you it is damnably hot.
At 8:30 p.m. it is still 103 and feels like 113.
Definitely hot in Philadelphia today...it was crazy! We got there at 2 to go on the field tos ee the players which was the promotion they had today..it was so hot people had sweat dripping of of them. When we got to our seats for the 4:10 irst pitch, it was just crazy hot with the sun just beating down on us. I came prepared and had 8 frozen bottles of water with us in a small backpack and my uncle brought mister fans. In the 3rd inning, we started getting phone calls--apparently my uncel and i were on tv! so that was pretty fun. It was definitely a fun, but VERY hot, day
we must be a busy crew.
Hope all are staying cool and safe.
