I finally felt good enough this morning to take the girls to the pool. Jeff was off so he came as well. We spent 2hrs at the pool. Olivia was trying to go under water. I wish the swim lessons would have coordinated with my schedule.
At over 100 degree heat index I had to tell Terra that we couldn't go to the pool with Kristi' family. The kids have Six Flags tickets that expire Aug 15 so I promised instead that I would make sure we used those even if I had to go in the major heat one day! (Hopefully, I won't actually HAVE to do that - heat wise I mean - but we're running out of available days to wait it out.)
Instead, we went and bought her a new book plus got her free one from Borders reading program. Then we went to dinner with them tonight for Connor's birthday. Much easier on this momma anyway! I wish we could work out swimming lessons too. Luckily, they've all done really well between me, Kristi and Chris trying to teach some basics. They can all go under without holding their noses now, can swim to the side off of the board, are working on swimming across the short length of the pool, Terra dove in head-first for the first time yesterday, and Connor is doing front flips off the board! Not sure how they all jumped ahead so much, but am thankful for it all the same - especially with a pool in Mom and Dad's backyard.
luckily we have not hit 100 degree temps yet this year. Last year we had a record number of 100 + temp days starting in may. Of course the heat index a few times has hit 100 degrees.
So Tia did you guys decide to go with one of the apartments you saw today or are you going to keep looking?
Good morning.
The heat index here yesterday was 118, and it's going to be hotter today. I guess I shouldn't complain. We COULD have 18 inches of snow.![]()
We're not sure yet. Just working on deciding for certain what we want to do. One of the options might work pretty well. I think part of it is getting past the mental block of "hey, we were told we're getting a house and now we're back to a little apt." Space-wise, it should be fine for us for another year or so. It's just how it would work with the extra daycare kids in the space too. The first apt we looked at today just wouldn't have worked with extra bodies. The second one probably wouldn't be too bad.
