Great job!!!! I like the last 2 page spread. LOVE the carousel page and the back cover!!!!

So cool!!!!

Thanks Bernadette, Beth and Elin! I really like those last few pages too. They were originally going to be spread out over a few until I quickly ran out of pages. I really like how they worked out in the end though.

Good morning. :)

Today was the first day we ALL got to sleep in.....no work or school. Aaaaahhhhhhh!

Elin - how was your event last night? I hope Kristen is feeling better.

Tia - Great job on the album!

I can't believe our cruise is 2 1/2 weeks away!!!! :woohoo:

For all the July travelers....

'The Taste of Africa Street Party' coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom on July 9
Jun 21, 2010

We mentioned last week that a new entertainment offering was heading to Animal Kingdom for the summer, and we now have some more details to share.

The full name will be 'The Taste of Africa Street Party', and it begins on July 9, running nightly until July 24 2010 in the Africa section of the park. It's currently a limited time test, but may be extended if it proves popular.

The event begins each night immediately after Mickey Jammin' Jungle Parade, and runs through until park close. On Extra Magic Hours evening, the event will continue until the end of EMH.

The entertainment offerings include:

Music and dance party with Harambe's DJ Khalifa
Outdoor vendors selling unique food and beverages offerings
Performances by featured musical group, Wasslou
Beer and wine tastings at Tamu Tamu Courtyard
Authentic merchandise options available for purchase
Animal Education experiences with the Harambe Wildlife Team

First of all, :yay: for sleeping in and the time passing quickly for your cruise!

Kristin was still asleep when I got home last night and she is not up yet today, so I don't know if she is feeling any better or not. I hope so. Migraines are horrible. I wish you could have gone with me last night because I think you would have enjoyed it. As it was, I had a wonderful time with my friend who could go and his wife was very jealous that he could go when she had to sit in a meeting all evening!

I have been trying to post a little about the event, along with some photos, but either Photobucket or the DIS is not cooperating very well. I will try a little later!

Good morning, DDA!

Today is Day 1 of the older baby's vacation with grandpa. It will be a nice break. Plus, I can take Terra out to do some stuff now as well with Chris and Kristi's new work schedules.

Otherwise, it's just HOT! I think we're heading to Chick Fil A for breakfast in a little bit, a quick grocery stopy and then coming home to the A/C again. Kristi's going to bring the kids over to swim, but depending on how the humidity decides to cooperate, I may just have to watch from the living room.

Good Morning. Apparently my brother is getting his driveway paved today. The sounds of heavy equipment fill the air  I don't have much on tap for the day. I plan to rearrange some of the things that I've packed and I'm working at 5 PM. I really need to go grocery shopping, but they may need to wait another day. I also need to get stuff together to throw in my brother's camper as we are camping with them for 2 nights at the Loudon race this weekend. This is as close to roughin it as I get. We have to take a generator for power, haul in water and use porta potties :headache: There are lots of activities surrounding the races so we certainly won't get bored.

Our new credit cards came, now I have to reset all of our accounts that autopay to the old card :headache: What a pain in the patootie.

Whoa is right. I can only imagine the price point on those homes :scared1:

Found that info in the FAQs. Apparently they are expected to be $1.5-8 million. Guess at that point the whole $25,000 refundable deposit to be on the list of interested purchasers should be pocket change.

Good Afternoon DDA!!

3rd day of VBS down and I am so glad it's almost done...being the daughter of the VBS director is harder (I think) than being the director. One of my kids gave me a silly bandz:goodvibes I have never seen them in person...too much fun. It is hotter than heck around here and the humidity is wrecking havoc with my head.

My interview for Office Manager of Metropolitan UMC is in 2 hours...haven't had an interview in almost 6 months...a little nervous about it.

forgot to say: Been reading but kind of pooped to click on links and/or respond.

Love and prayers to all

Would still love to do something July 10th!! As soon as I am done with VBS I will PM Robyn, Elin, Tami and Becky....see if we can get something figured out!!

You will be terrific, Theresa. This is a job you KNOW!

Sounds good to me. I know Tammi will be up there because they leave on your birthday.

Kristin was not able to go with me last night. She came home from work early with a migraine. :sad1: As it was, I had a wonderful time with a dear friend who could go with me instead and his wife was very jealous that he went when she had to sit in a meeting all evening!

The dinner and wine pairings were just amazing. I took some photos with my cell phone but they are less than optimal. I took my camera with me but no one else was hauling one out so I decided that under the circumstances it would not be appropriate. ;) (The photos of the beef and the cheese are so bad I am not even posting them!)

The menu featured five courses and the chef outdid himself. The wines were perfectly paired and I learned a thing or two about the winemaking business in Australia as well as how to think out of the box when choosing a wine to go with the food I am serving. David Powell, winemaker/owner of Torbreck Vineyards in the Barossa Valley was very interesting and stopped at every table multiple times during the evening.

Very briefly, this is what we had:

Course One ~ Green Gazpacho w/ Creme Fraiche
paired with a crisp, white wine - Torbreck The Woodcutter's" Semillon 2007 (bought a bottle)

Course Two ~ Creamy Mussel Soup w/ Saffron & Leeks
paired with a specialty red wine made for a wine bar in Paris - Torbreck Cuvee Juveniles Blend 2008 (bought a bottle)

Beehive Barely Buzzed Cheese Plate (this is a cheese that is dusted with coffee and was served with sesame crackers and fig preserves)
paired with Torbreck "The Struie" Shiraz 2006 (bought a bottle)

Course Three ~ Black-Pepper-Crusted Wagyu Steak with Black Truffle Vinaigrette and Beet Chips
paired with an amazing wine I will never afford - Torbreck "The Descendant" Shiraz/Viognier blend (I could have ordered a bottle for the discounted price of $110... amazingly, people were ordering cases. It was that good. And they have that much money, apparently.)

Course Four ~ Coeur à la Crème with Locally Grown Raspberry Sauce
paired with a sweet dessert white - Torbreck "The Bothie" 2008

I so wish I could have gone with you, Elin! I'm glad you were able to find someone to share the evening with.

Oh let me just check the under the cushions of my couch!:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

The kids had their annual pediatrician check ups today...that took 3 hours. :rolleyes1 Then we went for lunch & after that mattress shopping (yes my life is extremely exciting! :rotfl:) The 2 older ones need new mattresses since theirs are already 10 years old & as hard as rocks. So we got them squishy ones. Hit the library & then came home. Now the kids want popcorn for dinner. popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::
