Tammi,
Their daycare sounds like fun. Have fun shopping.:cool2:
Yep. I figure it's a pretty good sign when my kids ASK to go to daycare! :goodvibes: There is a pool there, and each day they have a 1/2 hour lesson and then a 1/2 hour of free swim, broken up into age categories. They take field trips several times a week to places like Funland, roller skating, rock wall climbing, movies, as well as local educational places. When they aren't going OUT, they have activities come to the center, like gymercise, a magician, etc. There is also a Christmas in July party, a circus and a carnival that they have to come up with skits/games for. All of this is extra and optional. I pay a flat fee at the beginning of summer for swim/activities, and they can participate in as much or as little as they want. The new thing this year is that there will be a Minute to Win It challenge. My kids LOVE that show!

I've got the grocery shopping done, now I need to go hit the stores. I'm dragging my feet, can't you tell.

Prayers requested...Erin went to the doctor today and she lost the baby. He said it looks like it happened about three weeks ago. Don't know how much contributing it did, but that was the same week I was asking for prayers about a family situation here which was extremely stressful for her personally. On top of all of that stress she also worked almost 70 hours that week. She's far enough along that she'll have to go to the hospital on Monday for them to induce delivery. I haven't talked to her, but Mom did and she's taking it pretty hard. I suspect that she's also feeling a lot of guilt for not being overly excited about the pregnancy at first. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers everyone! :grouphug:

Good afternoon, DDA! :sunny:

It is 98 here with a heat index of 114. How miserable is that??

I am so sorry, Tia! Prayers said. She'll go through a ton of different emotions, now. All you can really do, is just be there to listen to her.

we are waiting on our new deep freeze to be delivered. after buying 2 used the first one was to small and this second one went bad, we decided to buy a brand new one from sears. Might go see toy story 3 later this afternoon. Will see how I feel

Deb - I'm glad the news was good!! What a blessing.

Thank you everyone for the prayers. I know this is going to be a tough time for her, but also know that she won't talk to me much if at all about it. Combine the issues we have sometimes anyway with the fact that I am pregnant and I'm sure she won't come to me much if at all, though I will certainly be ready to listen if she does. Luckily, she does talk to Kristi more than anyone about negative things so I'm sure she'll come to her. Plus, she called Mom first thing so that's a good sign as she often won't come to Mom with problems either - unless they are health related, usually.

She called this morning and said that they told her today to plan to be off for four weeks. Since they have to actually induce labor it will be more like a regular delivery recovery. Plus the induction and delivery can take as long as two days. Brendan is apparently just going on like there's nothing serious, but he tends to bottle things up like he does with his liver stuff and other things like that. Unfortunately the explosion of that bottle can be pretty major so hopefully he's able to work through some of the emotions before that happens. He is already off work most of next week anyway so that will be good. Erin's boss treats her like a second daughter and his wife has been through a similar situation so I know that she won't have any problem there either, so that's good, plus I'm sure they'll volunteer to help with Kaylin too since they live close and babysit her sometimes.

Lenora

Hi Lenora, :welcome:

I love Pensacola. DH was stationed there on the Lexington so after we got married in Key West, we stopped off there to pick up his orders for the next duty station. I was born and raised in St Pete, so I am keeping in touch with my sister who lives there cause I just cannot even imagine what could happen if the oil hits so I can empathize with you.

I have been married for 41 years to my DH, Hal who I met on a blind date. We have three grown children and on July 22 we will then have 5 grandsons. I am unemployed right now but that is okay since I am still dealing with Vertigo. I have an appt with an ENT next Wednesday.

Stephanie (Steffy here on the DDA) and I are going on a 14 day Transatlantic Disney Cruise in September to celebrate our turning 60. We cannot wait. 84 days till we get on the plane!!!!!!:woohoo::dance3:

Tia,,,,,,hugs to you and your family :grouphug::hug::grouphug::hug:

Deb,,,,,I am so happy for the good news you received:goodvibes:woohoo:

This will be difficult for all involved. I suspect that the infant will need to be buried or cremated so that will be a whole other issue that will be popping up. It will be hard for Erin to talk to you and even to see you for a while as it will just be a reminder to her of what she lost. My SIL and I were due within a couple of weeks of each other when I had my miscarriage. I wasn't nearly as far along and I was able to get pregnant again almost immediately, but the emotions were some of the hardest that I've ever had to work through. My SIL commented after Colby was born that there was so many things that she had wanted to share with me about her pregnancy, but she felt like she couldn't because she knew it would remind me of what I had lost. While time makes things easier and I can't imagine myself without Colby, I sometimes wonder what if.

So I've been an emotional wreck since we got the good news. I decided to take a nap in hopes that I would feel more stable when I got up. I had the most bizarre dream. The actual dream is a blurr, but I remember seeing my grandmother and one of our old dogs. I woke up feeling confused and then it dawned on me that they were coming into my dream to let me know that they had been with Hunter this morning :sad1: I bet if I had slept longer I would have seen more friends from our past. It seems they are still looking after us. Okay, I know that sounds crazy, but I really think that's what it meant.

Tia-your family is in my prayers!

Deb-I was overjoyed to read the awesome news!!

Lenora- Welcome!! I am Theresa, unemployed mom of 2 who as of 3 weeks ago moved to Maryland from Colorado with her youngest (14).

Welcome Lenore

I'm Deb, married to Chris (kitchensinkguy) for nearly 18 years. We have 3 boys ages 7, 12 and 14. Since you arrived during my crazy posts I should fill you in. Hunter was diagnosed with a brain tumor last November. It was removed last December and miraculously he has no deficits from the procedure. Today was his follow up MRI and we had no idea if we would see the tumor regrowing (it was the type that could) or not. Thankfully as you read there is no sign of regrowth. Since the news I've been a blubbering idiot. I hadn't realized how worked up I was about this procedure today. Of course I've been in the throws of many school activities that I was in charge of over the last few weeks so I guess I didn't give myself much time to officially worry. In any event glad to have you with us and I promise to make more sense in the future :lmao:

We are just under 3 weeks away from our mega vacation. We're spending a week at WDW, staying in a Tree House Villa, then taking an NCL western Caribbean cruise aboard the brand new Epic, followed by another week in Orlando, with 3 days at RPR at Universal and 3 offsite with a stop at SeaWorld and more Disney I'm sure :goodvibes

Deb, wonderful, wonderful, spectacular news!

Tia, I am so sorry. I will keep her and the whole family in my prayers.
