I guess this is where I can just chat with all the folks.. I just wanted to say we had the OIL from BP's oil spill hit our beaches hard today.. only little blobs here and there now .. not so much.. rolling up on shore and you can see spotty waves.. with large patches of oil on the beach.. most of our beaches are closed.

This is a huge disaster. and I am sitting here with tears in my eyes knowing that our environment is destroyed. It will take many many years to heal. That is only once the oil is stopped from spilling.

The kids had their annual pediatrician check ups today...that took 3 hours. Then we went for lunch & after that mattress shopping (yes my life is extremely exciting! ) The 2 older ones need new mattresses since theirs are already 10 years old & as hard as rocks. So we got them squishy ones. Hit the library & then came home. Now the kids want popcorn for dinner.

Popcorn for dinner sounds good to me, as it's entirely too hot to cook today!

My heart just breaks for you! I live in Utah, and it's very rare for us to be able to completely understand what you are going through. However, we had an oil spill last week, and it's been just horrendous. I know that what you are going through is about 1 million times worse, but it really brought it home to me with our own little spill.

I don't think I've really "met" you, yet. My name is Glynis. I'm a SAHM to 5 children ranging from 12 to 18 months. I've been to WDW once (with another trip hopefully in my future), but I've been to DL too many times to count.

I love to hang out with the men and women on this list! They've become my family! Please tell me a little bit about you.

How sad! I'm so saddened and angered by the whole situation. I'm so sorry that you are having to deal with it directly.

Prayers requested...Erin went to the doctor today and she lost the baby. He said it looks like it happened about three weeks ago. Don't know how much contributing it did, but that was the same week I was asking for prayers about a family situation here which was extremely stressful for her personally. On top of all of that stress she also worked almost 70 hours that week. She's far enough along that she'll have to go to the hospital on Monday for them to induce delivery. I haven't talked to her, but Mom did and she's taking it pretty hard. I suspect that she's also feeling a lot of guilt for not being overly excited about the pregnancy at first. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers everyone!

Prayers requested...Erin went to the doctor today and she lost the baby. He said it looks like it happened about three weeks ago. Don't know how much contributing it did, but that was the same week I was asking for prayers about a family situation here which was extremely stressful for her personally. On top of all of that stress she also worked almost 70 hours that week. She's far enough along that she'll have to go to the hospital on Monday for them to induce delivery. I haven't talked to her, but Mom did and she's taking it pretty hard. I suspect that she's also feeling a lot of guilt for not being overly excited about the pregnancy at first. Oh how tragic. Thoughts & prayers are with her as she struggles through all the grief and emotions.

It is a horrible mess. Very sad about how it is being handled. Those beautiful beaches, animals, and birds that are suffering is almost too much to even think about.

We are always happy to add another friend to our circle. I'm Vicki married to Chuck. We have two adult daughters 21 & 24. I'm from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan but took a promotion in Lansing. I spend my weeks in Lansing and my week-ends in the U.P. It's an interesting life. We love camping in the summer and planning our next Disney trip.

The kids want me to take them to their daycare today. They have a field trip to putt-putt and the arcade, so they want to do that. Then they will have swim time afterwards. Works for me, because I need to hit the grocery store and do some shopping. This trip is coming up fast and I need to get a few more pieces of clothing and some shoes. Yesterday I got Alyssa a nice dress for one of our formal nights. It's not too fancy that she wouldn't be able to wear it to church. I need to find the same for me.
