DDA Chapter 25

OH....and I made a few ADR's for July. I was able to book a Fantasmic lunch package at Mama Melrose. Can you believe DH has never been. I think this 1:30 lunch will work better for us than the normal 4:00 dinner. That way we can go to DHS in the morning, have lunch, go swimming/rest then go back for Fantasmic.:cool1:

I was not able to book fishing at 7am on DH's bday but I was able to book it on the next day which I think I like better anyways. So we are booked at 7am on Saturday 7/24. I think it is better to skip a Saturday in the parks and DH is fine with not going on his actual bday. I booked a 10:15 breakfast at Cape May for after swimming and dinner on DH's bday at Flying Fish.

Now I need to review all of the July park times to see if I want to book any more ADRs.

I found a 30% off LaNouba on travelzoo but only good through 7/2. I need to think about if I should do this with Joe on my birthday trip. I would really love to go but would rather go as a family in July.

Good morning. :)

The kids and I went to see the Kenny Chesney 3D concert last night. It was amazing. What a concept, to put together a movie of your tour, in 3D no less, and show it in theater for people who can't get tickets, can't afford tickets, or don't like the crowded concert scene. Brilliant! The 3D made it so believable, like you were really there.

I love Kenny Chesney! I was wondering about the 3D concert! Glad you guys had fun!

Sorry I have not been around much this week--its been crazy! We were on lockdown at work one day due to a shooting near our school and the gunman was loose---and now we are all waiting to see if we get pink slips next week due to the budget failing..

But on the bright side, its the weekend :)

Good Morning Friends,

Deb- Hang in there, I know you can do it. DH and I are really looking forward to our BBQ in July. Do we have a head count yet? I really want to contribute so I was thinking that I could bring drinks, cups, and a cooler of ice. I just need to know what everyone likes.

Bernadette - your trip is so close, hope you have a wonderful time. I hope to see you and the family again in July

I've got to get over my pity party and get myself motivated around here, I was trying to limit the pain meds I was taking, but yesterday I gave in and called the doctor's office. I go back Friday to get the MRI results and we'll make a final decision then, I am so ready, I know it won't be a quick fix and I'll be in PT for a while, but at least there will be a light at the end of the tunnel.

The concert movie sounds like fun Tammi

Theresa posted on FB that she would be moving this weekend so I'm sure she can use all the Pixie Dust we can send her way

Sorry about the budget Jen,, both my daughters are teachers, the oldest has enough Seniority that she should be fine, the youngest is another story, she hasn't been able to secure a full time position, and with three schools being shut down here on the coast her chances of getting one anytime soon are looking slimmer. She will has been long term subbing and will be teaching summer school so at least she is getting some class room experience.

Debbie - did Theresa say where she will be moving?

Jen - :wizard: for job security!

Ugh, I can't sleep. I had a run in with my boss last night over working Mother's Day. Needless to say he is an idiot and has a very warped scheduling system. He calls it seniority. Unfortunately I've been there 18 years and I'm at the bottom of the list because I have only waitressed the last several years and apparently all those previous years of service aren't important in his eyes. He has zero waitstaff that wants to work Mother's Day and he can't seem to understand why. I think we have all determined that we have lives outside of the restaurant and since the money isn't there now, we'd rather spend time with family then at a restaurant not making money. I've worked many Mother's Days in so many different capacities. At one point I can remember making $300 by working a double on mother's day and now it will be amazing if anyone walks away with over $100. Furthermore I worked on Easter which was "mandatory" yet not everyone had to work. I told him those people should be up first, but he thinks that is ridiculous  If it wasn't for our extended summer vacation I would start actively looking for a new job now instead of in August. Maybe I should look anyway and just tell a prospective employer that I will be unavaible for 23 days this summer? Then I would still have the issue of Nick graduating on a Monday and Colby's dental surgery and Hunter's MRI. Why does life have to be so complicated.

Deb, I'm sorry that there is so much stress at work. Good luck at finding something new! :thumbsup2

That sounds like fun! I finally saw my first full-length movie in 3D a couple of weeks ago.

It sounds like plans are all coming together for you! We decided not to do too many ADRs, because we are trying to save a little money and because my family is not big on the whole eating at a restaurant thing. I keep wanting to go back and look at more, but I keep finding myself deciding that we don't really need anything else.

I did book dh, Matthew, and Laura for a Segway tour one day, and Miles and I will go to a character breakfast, since he is too young for the tour.

pixiedust: that no pink slip appears!

:wizard: that your shoulder is fixed up soon!

pixiedust: for Theresa this weekend. :grouphug:

It's going to be a busy weekend around here, so I may not make it back until Monday.

Have a great weekend, DDA! :sunny:

We are totally looking forward to the BBQ too. It will be wonderful to have time with dear friends. If my memory serves me we decided on July 22. Does anyone have an opinion of time? We will make any time frame work. We have also requested a villa just across the street from the pool entrance. I'm sure the kids will want to swim even though it isn't the themed pool. I'm planning to pick up hamburgers and hot dogs, what else do we want for food. I'm sure my mother will insist on potato salad or deviled eggs too. It should be easy to make stuff since it is a full sized kitchen.

???? for DDA BBQ participants on July 22nd at THV

Who and how many are coming?
What time works best for your family?
Any BBQ favorites that you'd like on hand?
Anything I'm missing?

I cannot tell you how excited we are to get together :cool1::cool1:

Deb,

I can bring all the papergoods, plates, cutlery, napkins, cups etc. Also chips, pretzels, & anything else you think we need.

I am so looking forward to getting together too!:goodvibes

Who and how many are coming? Just the two of us
What time works best for your family? We have no plans for that day so anytime is good
Any BBQ favorites that you'd like on hand? Burgers and dogs sound great
Anything I'm missing? How about chips?

Miles and I are having breakfast at Cape May that morning. I decided on that, since it's close to Epcot. It's an EMH morning at Epcot, so we'll all go over. Then the other three will go to join the tour about 8:45, and Miles and I will snag some fastpasses and walk over to BC for the breakfast. By the time we're done, we'll probably be able to get more fastpasses and then meet the rest of the family sometime after that.

CP is one of the few ADRs that I did get for the whole family. I can't not see Pooh and friends. My kids loved them so much when they were little.
