So what is the X line?

I'm glad that you had a good experience with Paradise Beach. The boys are really looking forward to the water toys.

Celebrity. They have a X on their ship in the design.

Debbie -- PM or call me if you have any questions about the surgery, recovery etc. I'm happy to help walk you through it. I hope they can get you in soon -- I waited about six months too long trying to see if PT would help before the surgery. I had immediate relief after the surgery and had pain in another way, but at least I could use my arm without shooting pains and could actually move it. Because I chose to not use the arm much after it became too painful before the surgery, I had more scar tissue than I should have had to work through after the surgery. That's why my recovery took so long. (That, and I was unable to take as much time off as they thought I should to concentrate on PT.) So, unless the doc says you'd be causing more harm, I would suggest some type of movement, if possible.

Have a good day DDA!

I need a different kind of flower help. Laura has just been invited to the senior prom by a friend. I have to order a boutonnière, and I have no idea what I order. Also, how far in advance do I need to order for a busy weekend like prom? She doesn't even have a dress yet.

I went outside just now & found that a deer (I guess) ate the tops off all my pansies.:scared1:

Now I just have these little stems with no heads....:laughing:

Oh no! My friends in Austin had that problem. They finally had to change to plants that weren't as popular with Deer.

How exciting! Happy dress shopping!

When we were out to dinner on Saturday night all the prom couples were there too. Alyssa and I were busy checking out all of the dresses. Could you imagine if these girls today saw what WE wore to the proms. GASP! :faint: Anway, the boutonnieres appeared to be the same as always. A simple carnation or 2, with some greens and baby's breath. Once they get their colors selected then maybe have the white carnation tipped in that color. I would suggest staying away from roses. They start to wilt before the night is through. Carnations hold up well.

Beth...if I were you I'd have her ask her friends what they are doing....and go by that. Around here for prom it would be a white rose. No carnations for a prom event. White rose with ribbon wrapped around the stem that matches the girls dress. I went back and checked Jonathan's pics...same thing. But maybe it's different by area.

Sorry I have not been around much this week--its been crazy! We were on lockdown at work one day due to a shooting near our school and the gunman was loose---and now we are all waiting to see if we get pink slips next week due to the budget failing..

But on the bright side, its the weekend :)

Hope all is well at school this week!

OH....and I made a few ADR's for July. I was able to book a Fantasmic lunch package at Mama Melrose. Can you believe DH has never been. I think this 1:30 lunch will work better for us than the normal 4:00 dinner. That way we can go to DHS in the morning, have lunch, go swimming/rest then go back for Fantasmic.:cool1:

I was not able to book fishing at 7am on DH's bday but I was able to book it on the next day which I think I like better anyways. So we are booked at 7am on Saturday 7/24. I think it is better to skip a Saturday in the parks and DH is fine with not going on his actual bday. I booked a 10:15 breakfast at Cape May for after swimming and dinner on DH's bday at Flying Fish.

Now I need to review all of the July park times to see if I want to book any more ADRs.

Sounds like its all coming together quite well on both trips. I can't believe May is so close already!

I've got to get over my pity party and get myself motivated around here, I was trying to limit the pain meds I was taking, but yesterday I gave in and called the doctor's office. I go back Friday to get the MRI results and we'll make a final decision then, I am so ready, I know it won't be a quick fix and I'll be in PT for a while, but at least there will be a light at the end of the tunnel.

The concert movie sounds like fun Tammi

Theresa posted on FB that she would be moving this weekend so I'm sure she can use all the Pixie Dust we can send her way

I hope you can get some answers and a plan worked out on Friday. :wizard: that it will be on the mend soon.

Good Morning

I was up before the alarm today. I'll be working with a severely handicapped boy this week and it is apparently stressing me out more than it should. Between that and the whole Mother's Day thing I can't seem to clear my head long enough to actually sleep. I guess I can survive on 5 hours sleep for awhile, afterall I did it when the kids were babies. The good side is that I'll be making extra money towards the trip this week :woohoo:

Good luck this week! Sorry about the whole Mother's Day fiasco. It's just not right.

Thanks for the information! The florist would probably know what is most popular, too. I'll have her ask around and see if any of my friends with older kids know. I'm completely out of my element here.

The dress shopping will be interesting. We have almost no time, and she is very picky. She doesn't think she looks good in anything, and I (being her mother) thinks she looks good in just about anything. She is also pretty modest, so I know everything will be deemed too low. She is excited, though, I think. She said that she wasn't even planning to go to her senior prom next year, so she certainly didn't think she'd be going this year. She is going with a good group of kids, and I'm glad that it's just a friend.

This is the front cover of the photo book I had made for our character meal autographs.

These are the pages for CP. Some of them are a little tight, but I think there will still be enough room to fit an autograph.

We have never been to Cape May, so I used a few generic photos that I found and added a couple of Miles from the beach. Only Miles and I are going to that one. I also put in a photo of the kids with the character at another time. I could have done more, but I was trying to finish up quickly.

I had a few pages left at the end, so I just threw in a couple of generic pages like this. I think I'm going to actually make another photo book for some of their favorites with the old photos. I made this on the morning that we were leaving to visit my parents, so I didn't take the time with it that I should have. We weren't going to be back before the sale ended, though, so I wanted to just get something done.

I graduated in 1982. Remember Gunnie Sax?! :rotfl: I think my mom still has my prom dress somewhere, so I told Laura she could wear that and go retro. That will be a good threat when the dress shopping isn't going well.

Beth,
What a great idea to make a photobook for autographs! Very nice!:thumbsup2

Thanks! Bernadette gave me the idea. She did an amazing one.

(And, yes, I really do need to get off the computer and get some work done. Why am I so lazy?!)

Beth - That book looks great! I like it. I think I'm going to make one for Terra for our next trip. By then, it will have been almost 3 years since our last trip to WDW and we don't do as much with characters at DL so I think it will be a good opportunity for it.

Good morning, DDA!

So my camping training went well this weekend though I really could have done without the tornados in the area! I guess we just got a really thorough training as now we know all about storm emergencies as well. The touchdowns weren't too close to us, but one apparently hit just a block or two from Erin's mall. Funny thing is she didn't even know it. It was a small one and mostly just tree damage luckily, but it was a little crazy for awhile. Mom was laughing because I was the one "out in the woods" and it was me who called to tell them to watch out. I had called because I wasn't sure Phil had anyone else there who would know what to watch for and where to find things in the house.

Also, if you all could keep my dad in his prayers. The doctor told him on Friday that he has prostate cancer. From everything that's been said so far and the steps taken to get to a diagnosis, I think it's really early and am not too worried. On the other hand, I'm not sure Dad understands it all yet and I think he is a little worried. They are meeting with the doctor on May 4 to discuss the options and next step. They told Kristi, Erin and I yesterday, but I don't think Rachel knows yet. They think she'll do better with one on one and she wasn't home at all yesterday. I'm not quite sure how she'll take the news.

For Garrett's I bought carnations & had them colored lightly to match his dates gown.
