Thank you. I think things might get messy. My SIL is a bit of an odd duck. My sister is going to call her in the morning and ask her if she can make the arrangements-I really don't think my SIL can handle doing it. My sister wants to burry my brother in our hometown but she thinks my SIL will want to burry him with her son (he was grown when my brother met her).

My sister is also going to have to tell my Mom. I know mothers don't have favorites but my brother was my Mom's favorite. I don't know if she'll really understand or remember but my sister thinks she will.

Thanks for all the hugs. It just doesn't seem real.

I still don't know anymore about what happened or arrangements.

The 42nd anniversary of my Dad's death is tomorrow.

We had plans to take the kids to the Boston Pops Holiday Concert today. The 5 of us and my MIL & SIL. My SIL has been planning this for nearly 6 months. I told the kids I was too sick to go. We'll have to tell them about my brother when they get home but I wanted them to enjoy the concert.

I haven't seen my brother in a while as he wasn't at the last two family gatherings so I don't know how hard the kids will take it. I expect my Joe will take it pretty hard.

I have to post a few photos. Joe was very much an "ordinary Joe" that everyone loved. He was 53-younger than Gene. He has a 29 year old daughter and 30 year old son and 3 grandchildren.

With Lizzy at her first birthday:

At Joe's Christening-Joe was 3 months, Lizzy was almost 2. My girlfriend is Joe's Godmother.

4th of July-Joe was about 6 months.

At Emma's Christening-Emma was 3 months, Joe 2 and Lizzy 3 1/2. Can you see the family resemblance between my sister Karen and I?
