Thanks for posting updates everyone. I'm sitting here by a sleeping child whose very minor surgery went well this morning. I pray that Deb can say the same thing about Hunter and his very intricate and serious surgery very soon.

We just got a call and they will be closing soon. Good news is that the surgeon feels the tumor was benign and things went as expected.

An old friend just came out and he stopped by Hunter's surgery and came out to tell us that everyone in the OR is pleased

The Oncologist that is overseeing tumor research also came out and he was pleased also. We're just waiting for the surgeon now

We met with the surgeon. It is NOT cancer!! The type of tumor was a "good" kind if there is such a thing. She thinks that the got 100%

If she got the entire thing, then it will not grow back ever

I am so happy to be able to read all of Deb's tweets and that the news is so good! I hope that they did get the entire tumor and won't ever have to worry about it again.

The most recent:

We met with the surgeon. It is NOT cancer!! The type of tumor was a "good" kind if there is such a thing. She thinks that the got 100% of it out, but if not then she got 99+% out. They will do an MRI in a few days to see if there is any obvious reminants. If there is they will either go back in to get it or wait until it grows enough to get it out. He will need to be rechecked every 6 months or so If she got the entire thing, then it will not grow back ever.

Hunter is in his room in the PICU. He has opened his eyes and recognized us. He also was able to identify items presented to him. woohoo

He wants ice cream, but he can only have clear fluids at this point. They say that his face will probably be swollen tomorrow

Chris and I are feeling so relieved. We know that we still need a few more results, but so far so good. Please keep him in your prayers
