So, it is cold in my house. My furnance isn't working. I have a repairman coming out tomorrow afternoon. He is the husband of my Religion coteacher, so I know I won't get taken advantage of. Luckily the heat pump still works, but that heats the upstairs, or tries to, while the furnace heats the first floor. I had the gas fireplace on for a little while yesterday, but that gets so expensive. I'm hoping for a simple, inexpensive fix!

Deb -- that is terrific news. I'm glad that he's feeling a little better about it. The surgery is Friday, correct? I want to make sure before I send an update to our prayer list.

Good morning, DDA! I didn't have time to catch up this morning, but I should have a little time later.

Miles is going to school in the same jacket that he wore yesterday with this note.

Miles has my permission to wear his fleece-lined, water-resistant jacket outside for recess.

Thank you for your concern as to the suitability of my son’s outerwear. This jacket is definitely appropriate for playing outside and walking to/from school at temperatures above 20°F. Miles does own a heavy winter coat that he will wear in colder temperatures.

Let's hope that they don't upset him. He can be a little sensitive. I wish that I weren't working today, because I'd go up to school with him instead of sending the note. Can you hear the sarcasm in the "Thank you" or not?

Same here & it only looks like it is going to get worse If it were not for the boys dental appointments I would be staying put today.

You do not need a cell phone to use Twitter. You can use it from a computer connected to the internet.
