#3 Curtis Brown...we are soooo proud of him and all the boys!

Wow -- my husband Randy was very impressed. For those who don't follow UT football --she's being modest -- he's a starter for UT on defense!

Good Morning all!!!

It snowed over night...which means I get to walk to the bus stop and hope I don't kill myself on ice patches. Guess I better actually go get ready....it's also very cold......yicky!! The person who set up the interview said the name of the University so fast that I can't even do any homework on them because 3 universities share the office space. :rotfl:

I am hoping that eventually I want to put some part of my Christmas decorations up...don't see that happening any time soon though.

Good luck!

Andrew!

Elin are you taking a laptop? I am wanting to get Garrett a Jack Skellington beanie or hat for his birthday. Not sure what they have out right now. Actually anyone that is going soon & can post pictures of JS merchandise would be great!

That is asking a lot huh :rotfl:

I am not taking my laptop. Made no sense to me for 48 hours! :rotfl2:

If someone going sooner posts a picture, I would be happy to pick something up for you.

I went and had lunch with Nicholas. I stopped at McDonalds and took him a cheeseburger and fries as a treat. I also delivered his cupcakes, which got a thumbs up from everyone. Thank you Betty Crocker!

Elizabeth, Terry, Stephanie, and Elin have great trips. Cant wait to see pics.

Everyone leaving soon have a great time.

Terry I need yours and Stephanie's addresses, even if its your work address.

Hello DDA!

Thanks for the PM Becky! Also, I had forgotten that your dad's problems were from diverticulitis. Any advice you can send my way would be greatly appreciated! There seems to be so little info online and lots of contradictory advice - particularly regarding the whole nuts/seeds/etc thing.

Dolly - Welcome! We've got several Texas fans around here! Your son has played a great season. Congrats to them all!

Deb - I'm with everyone else. While we all know Boston is a great hospital choice, you have a very good choice nearby. When you combine that with the good surgeon with the comforts of home with good family support, I don't think you can beat the choice you've made!

Amy - Good luck with the holiday season! I've been wondering just about the same thing with the new work stuff too. The baking is my favorite part, but that might be the hardest to work out. Mom and Kristi did talk about not doing a big Christmas dinner and thinking of something else a little simpler and then going to see the new Chipmunks movie. I'm thinking maybe appetizers and desserts as there are always desserts that I end up not getting to make. Since I do about 70% of the prep and mom does another 25% (plus the 70% of the cleanup we also get stuck with) I think is sounds like a great idea!

Elizabeth, Elin, Debbie, and whoever else - HAVE A GREAT TRIP!!!!

Anne Marie - Hope your cleaning got done quickly. I've got to shampoo the carpets tonight when I get home so that we can put up the Christmas tree tomorrow (before Terra dies from having to wait so long! :faint: ). Luckily, the rest has stayed pretty clean from Thanksgiving so we're moving along pretty well. Good think since my grandma and aunt will be here the 11th-14th and an aunt and uncle will be here the 18th-21st!

Heidi - Hope your arm is doing better today. Take care of it!

I had a nice chat with a Mother from the boys' school last night. Her daughter has a plethra of disabilities and has had several brain surgeries. In fact she has had 10 surgeries under Dr. Duhaime. They love her, feel that she is meticulous, cautious and overall an outstanding surgeon. They have travelled to Boston 3 times, but each time they come back here because they feel the care is just as good, they like being able to get additional help in 20 minutes vs 3+ hours etc. She was very reassuring.

Our pediatrician retired 2 years ago, but he has heard about Hunter's issues and left a message for us to call him this evening. :goodvibes

The man that I lifeguarded with in the mornings has been keeping in touch. Apparently the patrons are very concerned, but the management hasn't so much as asked if anyone has heard from me. They certainly haven't called. One of the patrons is a pediatrician that works in the PICU so we may very well have him caring for Hunter. Another is a well know Thorasic Surgeon and he has told John to have me look him up and we can discuss what's going on. There are many others praying for us and offering assistance which is amazing from people that I just had brief conversations with each morning.

Would anyone care to get Pooh to sign a postcard or get well card for Hunter? I'm sure he would love to get one. If anyone thinks that they will have time, I will PM you our address
