DDA Chapter 24

I don't work full time so that gives me more time to do activities for the kids. Besides if I want it done right then I need to chair it...right?:confused3:rotfl:

I've organized a couple of basket raffles for cub scouts so this won't be too bad. The carnival is more coordination than anything else. The dance will get lots of volunteers because there are plenty of Moms that have distinct opinions so they won't miss a meeting :lmao: I just need to stroke a few egos to get help. :rolleyes1

You are so right about it being done right!!! Just make sure you get lots of people to direct so that you aren't doing it all. I find the coordination is really the easy part. Others don't seem to think so though. :lmao: You are a great diplomat so I know you can handle that side.

Busy cleaning here this morning. The kids have gotten their bathroom done, my bedroom is vacuumed and dusted. They vacuumed and swiffered the rest of the house. Now they are busy dusting their bedrooms. I have to tackle my bathroom. I hate bathrooms!

I hate bathrooms too! Just did mine and my brothers..im officially done cleaning haha

We're home from bowling. Nick and Colby are outside riding snowmobiles with papa and my brother's kids. Hunter decided he doesn't want to risk injuring his head :confused3He would need his snowmobile helmet so I'm not concerned. He's playing the Wii instead. I need to head downstairs to try to put stuff away. The basement is a mess and has been on my to do list for way too long. We have someone coming on Tuesday to connect the heat to Chris' shop so I need to get the basement organized as he needs access to it. Then I have to be at work at 3:45. Sounds like another busy day for me:)

Great! I got this chair from La Z Boy. It's sooo comfy. It's one of those chairs that just swallows you up!

I'll get it on Tuesday.

That looks comfy!!

D23 announced it's events for 2010. One of them is at WDW (the rest are in DL) on March 5. Anyone going to try to get tickets? I wanna go!! Maybe Johnny Depp will show up like he did last year...ok a girl can dream, can't she?

Cool! I will have to sign up for D23 and find out about this since we will be there.

Can I just tell you how much I love our little neck of the woods. As soon as I saw this post I went over and got my D23 membership. That was the answer to my question. What am I going to do on Friday, not a park day?!?

At first I figured I'd follow Vicki and Chuck around, but I know they were thinking about Richard Petty and stuff like that. (I have an AP and could do the ride along too, if they suggested it.:angel:) We'd still be able to catch them in the evening for T-Rex. And then I thought about Braves spring training, but I don't know how much my DGS likes baseball. Soooooo, looks like we are going to the D23 event. Then we can follow Vicki and Chuck around all dang day on Saturday, as he has a hopper, but just 4 days left. So, Saturday, Sunday for Fantasmic, Monday and Tuesday. YAY!!!!!
Well if I can get tickets (which they say sell out in a matter of minutes) then I am going to figure a way to go. :yay:

Tammi,
I love your pictures & your report. Looks like you were all having fun & love the kids by the firepit at AK.

Enjoy your new chair..looks super comfy.

We just came back from getting Katie's hair cut..she has quite a mane! $42 plus tip for a 14 year old haircut. Jeez.....apparantly thats the going rate here...We had tried supercuts for her when we first moved here & that didn't go so well..I had to try & "fix" her hair afterwards. So it's either get a cheapy/crappy cut or spend megabucks to get a decent haircut. It wasn't this expensive in NY.....do they think this is Paris or something??:lmao::rotfl2:

Dana took Daniel to a birthday bowling party..after they get home we are going out for dinner but not sure where..we are still looking to explore & find new things here..thanks heavens for the GPS.

Enjoy your Saturday!

I got a couple of hours into cleaning the basement. I reorganized some shelves and put most of the Christmas decorations away. Some of the big blow ups are laid out to dry. Tomorrow I need to sort through a ton of totes and pull out all the things that will never fit anyone and reorganize the rest. That will make a huge difference. I have been pulling stuff out, but not putting the totes back away so now they are all mixed together. My dust allergy is acting up so it was definitely time to stop.

Would it make you feel better to know that DS will be costing me $35 + tip from now on? I have had it with the cheapy salon.

We just got back from taking lunch to the kids. 8 pizzas turned out to be enough, and we bought a case of bottled water and a huge cookie tray, too. I was really surprised that we spent $97 and they collected $91 from the kids. So the $6 we paid covered DS and we weren't out any additional money!

I have to go get DS at 3 PM, then Princess has her party at 4 PM. Nothing tomorrow. Which is good. I need a day of nothing. Of course, it isn't REALLY nothing because DS has to do that stupid history paper. Blech! :headache:

I'm done cleaning for today. Tomorrow I'll do the kitchen and living room. Bob is taking us out to dinner tonight. It's my belated birthday celebration. I've chosen Bonefish. Love that place!

speaking of birthdays.... I have something for you. Are you at home???

sounds like lots of cleaning and organizing going on in the DDA households. I did some of that thurs and friday. Have more to do tomorrow and monday.

Wow sounds like everyone is in a cleaning mood today, you can all come over to my house :rotfl:

Debbie how scary for your daughter, glad Aubry is feeling better!

Tammi love the pictures & report so far & your new chair looks very comfy :thumbsup2

Jennifer sounds like you are getting organized with your new shelves!

Anne Marie I had Rileys haircut before school started back up after Christmas & it cost me $25, I choked on that lol

Hope everyone that is going out for dinner tonight enjoys their evening!

I am bored. we were short handed today here at work with Unit clerks. So since I know how to put in orders and stuff. I am on the desk. we have had one delivery all day. we have had a few discharges.

Do we know when they are going on sale?

It says tickets available soon on the D23 website. I am contemplating going down around that time for that, Flower and Garden Show and WDW Today's Tent Fest. But who knows.

The Studios and archives tour tickets will be available as of Jan 26th. I would love to do that in CA, I would prefer doing that over the WDW event.

I really wish they would release the D23 Expo dates, as long as it is not during my cruise trip I will do everything in my power to be there.
