I wonder how many more photo-ops we'll get with Alyssa in Minnie's chair before they start demolishing Toontown.

Hopefully they'll still have a free-standing Dumbo, too, since Noah is only going into his second milestone picture in November.

And, this seems like as good an opportunity as ever to tell you that we'll be looking for a 4th milestone photo spot soon. I'm 14 weeks pregnant!

This is the photo I used to "break the news" to many family members a couple days ago. :goodvibes

Wow :faint: I didn't see that one coming. I am so happy for you. What do the kids think?:goodvibes

Heidi

Chanon :wizard: I hope the little one makes an appearance soon. I'm sure that you're going nuts with anticipation, I know that I would be.

We ended up having a fabulous weekend though it started out a bit rocky. Saturdays weather was not nice. It was cold and rainy until about 2. We drove in rain to Lake George and had planned to drop Chris off at the car show, but the rain was more than Chris wanted to deal with so we all went to check into the hotel together. Amazingly our room was ready at 9:30 am (check in was 4 pm :cool1:) We went to the room and got into our swimsuits and headed to the indoor waterpark. It was tiny as waterparks go, but there were enough things to keep the boys busy. They really liked the Boogie Bear which is a surfing/boogie board simulator. By the end of the weekend they were good at it. We left the waterpark around 11 am, changed and went to Johnny Rockets for lunch. The restaurant is located inside the hotel and it was a fun atmosphere for kids. Just basic burgers, etc which is exactly what the boys like. From there we took Chris down to the car show even though he wasn't sure he wanted to trudge through the rain. The boys and I went back to thhe hotel room to wait for the rain to stop. Thankfully it did stop just a few minutes back. We decided to go to the great escape. The park really hasn't changed much since Six Flags bought it and our initial thought was that it needed a face lift. Mind you everything was went and many of the shows had ended for the summer so the venues were not being kept up. We only stayed about 1 1/2 hours as Chris called for us to pick him up. We were feeling disappointed in the park. We went and got Chris which meant about an hour in heavy traffic again to go the 5 or so miles to where he was and back. The boys were itching to get back to the waterpark so we changed again and went down for a few hours. By then they were getting quite good at the boogie Bear. Colby was a bit timid, but they helped him start at the bottom and he managed to stay on for a little while. Nick and Hunter could stay on for minutes at a time and they were able to get up onto their knees. Chris and I gave it a shot here and there. Chris could get onto his knees and I managed once. I only had one swimsuit with me and it wasn't cooperating with the force of the water  When the kids were sufficiently water logged we went back and changed for dinner. I wanted to go out into town for dinner, but the boys really wanted Johnny Rockets again. I figured I'd eat light and have dessert so it didn't really matter. The kids did well eating their entire meals, but the portions were big enough the no one wanted dessert after all. We ended up back in the room for the night. We were up around 7 and tried to pack a bit as checkout was 11 and we just had to hit the waterpark again before checkout. The Great Escape didn't open until Noon so we had time to kill anyway. We hit Johnny rockets yet again for breakfast. We learned that our boys do not eat enough to warrant sit down breakfasts so we'll file that for next summer. After breakfast we were pleasantly surprised to see that the waterpark was already open. We rushed back and changed into our swimsuit (the males did, I just grabbed the camera as the kids just had to have photos :rotfl:) They did all the rides again and once the boogie bear opened they spent 45 minutes doing that. They were so happy and did not want to leave, but at this point we had 10 minutes before check out. Needless to say we didn't depart our room until about 1/2 hour late. We still made it to rope drop at the great escape. We decided to go left as we went into the park so we hit entirely different areas from the day before and we were pleased to see that the park was much nicer than our impression from the day before. The plan was to leave arount 4 pm to head home, but the weather was nice and there were no lines to speak of so we let the kids set the pace. We did everything that they wanted and even let them hit the wet rides just before we left (knowing they could change in the car). It was 6:30 before we left the park and 9 PM before we got home. Needless to say we were all exhausted and that holds true for when my alarm went off at 4 am today

I'll try to post pictures later. Chris and I were both blown away by how grown up Nick has become. He just didn't carry himself like a 13 year old boy, more like a 16 year old :scared1:

Chanon - Hopefully the baby will decide to come out soon! :wizard:

Tammi - Enjoy your visit with your parents! :)

I am so sad about the girl from Yale. :sad1: I hope they catch her killer soon. Her poor family. :sad2:

I don't often "ditto" but this is just perfect, Elizabeth. Thanks! :goodvibes

I am glad you all had a good weekend, Deb.

The nurse just called and Hunter is having low blood sugar issues again :sad2: SIL is already at school picking up the kids and the nurse is giving him juice so hopefully he'll be home soon and be feeling better. I already have their dinner cooked since they have hunter's safety tonight so I know that he can have a meal very soon.

I'm off to work soon.

Oh, no! I'm so sorry! Is there any way you can work with the school administration and get him a break at certain times for some juice or a sandwich? This is what my sister had to do in grade school. She was hypoglycemic, and really needed to eat something every couple of hours. Once they got that worked out, she was fine. It worked out in jr. high and high school, too, as she could eat some crackers on the way to classes.

Here's hoping something can be worked out for him.

Thank you for the thoughts and hugs.

Mom is doing ok, she was more upset when she found out Hospice had been called in.

Hi, DDA!

Quick fly-by post to let you guys know that Austin arrived safely at 7:57 this morning. He weighed 6 lbs, 5 ozs and was 19 inches long. We are just thrilled with him, and appreciate everyone's prayers and PD.

I will post pics as soon as possible, but as I'm still being treated for BP issues (with the dreaded mag drip), I can barely keep my eyes open and am not mobile as of yet. But I have high hopes for tomorrow.

Good night, DDA!

Woohoo! :woohoo:

Woohoo. :woohoo: More DDA babies!

Congrats, Amy! I saw the pic on FB. I am really happy for you, Kevin, Alyssa, Matthew, and Noah!

Haven't had time to catch up. I had a horrendous 3 days at work- really, really, really bad. Go back tomorrow for another 3, and I sure hope they are better.

I will be back later and try to read what I missed. Have a good night!

I was sad to hear this....cancer is such a wretched disease!

Congratulations Amy

Congratulations Lindsay

Nothing new here.....Jackie has FINALLY adjusted to high school.:banana::banana:Thank God, cause I was getting drained. Bill's mother is out of the hospital and back to the nursing home. Not doing well, but status quo. I had hoped for a peaceful end. Her mental status worsens daily. She is now talking over her mother who has been dead forever.

Patrick Swayze in "Too Wong Fu" he was just perfect for the role. He made the role his.

In "Dirty Dancing" I was dancing right there. I watch it every time it is on. His moves make me blush, they were so sensual.

In "Ghost" I cry each and every time. I love that movie.

In "The Outsiders" he was not a main character, but you could tell he was going far.

He will be missed. :sad1::sad1:

Heidi, thinking of you.

Thank you Clare, Debbie, Jennifer (loved your OMG :teeth: ), Glynis, Anne Marie, and Tammi.

I'm so glad to have the first trimester behind me. The nausea kicked my butt again, which I appreciate, because it gives me that sense of "everything is okay," but there were certain crockpot meals that about threw me over the edge! :rotfl:

Of course, I'm absolutely exhausted. I admire your ability to give up caffeine, Chanon. Not me...I inhale a Coke or Mountain Dew every day about 2:30 p.m. It's the only way I can muster a second wind to keep chugging through the afternoon.

Bernadette, thanks for the picture of the shoe shine chair. :thumbsup2

Have a great day, DDA! :wave2:

of course you know I meant it in the nicest way,

Elizabeth I read that the FAN CHECK on Facebook is a virus. You might want to check into or delete that application. It affects those that have been tagged as well.

I don't want any viruses!

What a day. Hunter did not respond to the OJ that the school nurse gave him so he looked like the walking dead when he got home. All he wanted to do was sleep, but that wasn't an option. I called our ped and ended up with the triage nurse who was not at all helpful. He said they could fit him in TOMORROW :sad2: That wasn't an option. I finally managed to get some protein into him, against his will as he thought it would make him sick. Once the protein was onboard he slowly started perking up. Of course I needed to get to work and with less than an hour notice I was unable to find anyone to cover. I brought the boys to my parent's house and Mom took over with the protein push. About an hour later he was back to his healthy self. I will admit that I was really scared this time. After work I went to the store and got peanut butter crackers, cheese and crackers and 8 oz sunkist cans. I'll bring those to school tomorrow and set up an action plan with the nurse and his teacher. We were hoping that we wouldn't have to make scheduled trips to the nurse this year, but it looks like we will need to afterall. He did so well this summer that we thought the worst was behind us.

I tried unsuccessfully to post last night, but the DIS just wouldn't cooperate. :confused3 After work this morning I'll bring Hunter's snacks to the school nurse and hopefullly we can come up with a plan for him. My fingers are crossed that today is a much better day than yesterday.

Deb - good luck with your action plan. I hope Hunter does better today.
