Safe travels, Jen! Be advised there is a Paul McCartney concert tonight at the stadium so traffic will be INSANE. Not sure where you are staying or if you were hoping to take a look at the stadium tonight, but I would advise against it!

thank you so much for letting me know..We are staying near the stadium, ab out a mile away i think, but no plans to go to the stadium tonight. We land around 430, dallas time. We were planning on just taking a taxi to the hotel...good to know what is going on in case we hit traffic. Tonight's plan is to just check into the hotel and find dinner. Tomorrow is the Rangers game..then friday is the cowboys game!

Good morning, DDA!

Good morning everyone! I'm back and have finally skimmed enough to join back in.

I know I missed Deb, but sending PD for great weather on her trip!

Anne Marie -- sending lots of prayers for your Mom! I had intended to get in touch to say Hi when we were over your way at WDW, but the Mom of one of the neighbors going with us on the trip was put in the hospital a few days before we left and for a while we were scrambling with all the arrangements as we didn't think they would make the trip. I'm glad you had a good time. Your pics are wonderful!

Jen -- I missed that you will be in Dallas. Anything I can do to help?

Lindsay -- I love that name! Of course, it is Jake's middle name. ;) Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

We had a fantastic trip, even with the neighbors with us. I'll try to start posting some pics soon. Have a good day, DDA! :)

 Welcome back! I can't wait to see more Disney pictures!

Ann Marie, I will also keep your mother in my prayers.

Lindsay, I'll pray that little guy stays put for another few weeks.

So I've been up for an hour, made lunches and monkey bread:goodvibes

It's the first day of school...in a year full of lasts. Both girls are going to their respective schools for the last year. I've been an emotional wreck, more so than I think I would be because of the other stresses in my life.

It's now time to go back to bed :lmao:

The interview went well yesterday...I will take it as a good sign that they told me I was the first person to interview (when they called to set it up she just told me when to be there...no options). This would also be a newly created position, so it would be mine to mold.

I hope that the girls had great first days! I also hope that this job interview is the one!

Hi, DDA,

I don't have much time to post at the moment, but we're still hanging in here. I had a pretty bad night last night, but the baby is still in utero, and we just hope to keep him there for as long as conceivably possible at this point. I'm 35 weeks today, and would love to see him make it at least another 2, but I just don't know any more.

I'll update more later today, but I have a quick question/favor to ask. Would someone be willing to post or PM me the recipe for Glynis' famous pot roast? THANKS!!!!

I'll check in later - I hope everyone has good days all around. :goodvibes

Getting the mail reminded me how God works in wonderous ways....I have been fretting about making sure both girls have the proper school supplies for this year. In the mail pile was a letter from the Bonnie Hunt Show (if you haven't ever watched it, do, it's great!!) and I had won a $50 Walgreens gc. Guess where we will go this evening for school supplies after we get specific supply lists??:confused3:goodvibes

Perfect timing for that!

I gave up on photobucket & tried Kodak easyshare...

If anyone wants to see our photos from the trip please pm me your email.

Me! I'll PM you my e-mail address.

Forgot to tell you all about my lovely morning at work, I broke my little toe again :sad2:

OUCH! I hope it's better soon!

Aubrey thought her first Disney bear was quite tasty, unfortunately I got the wrong Star Wars figures and now Brandon has duplicates, so he left them here to play with when he comes over.

I didn't notice Brandon's dirty face until after I took the pictures.
They are so cute!

You mean like "Celebrations" magazine?

Celebrations Magazine, Tales from the Laughing place, Orlando Attractions, D23, etc

I've wanted Celebrations for a while, but I haven't actually splurged yet. Would that be everyone's recommendation? I hadn't heard of Tale from the Laughing Place. Orlando Attractions didn't catch my eye like Celebrations, and D23 seemed to expensive for what you get.

Is there going to be an ornament exchange this year?

Do any of you get any Disney themed magazines, or other paper publications? If so what?

How many are up for an exchange??

Good Morning all!!

First day of school seemed to go well...my FIL had also sent a check for back to school supplies (some of that will go to a phone bill) so we went to Walgreens, Staples, Target and JcPenney's. I gave each girl a $15 limit at Walgreens (hey, it is my card!!:rotfl:) They did very well with it...and got all but a few things there. So off to Staples where a pencil bag and one USB drive was bought. Next was JcPenney's where Cassidy was the only one to find anything, a pair of bottoms for $5.77 that originally retailed at $46:thumbsup2. Then Target where we found the last USB drive (where do they run away to??) but NO rulers were to be found at any of the stores. :sad2:. I then went to Sunflower Market and picked up fruit and veggies for the rest of the week...and fought with the clerk about the price of my apples. She finally called somebody else over...I was right:banana: and said "You need to tell her where the price per lb is" (it's above the item...that's what she was arguing with me about)..."Well, she is relatively new", "Then you need to remind her that arguing with the customer isn't usually advised." We had had a great experience at Walgreens earlier in the evening.

Abi is in what is essentially HS math and HS English this year and advanced Science so I envision a lot of work coming home. The only subject she isn't in advanced (other than band and choir) is Social Studies. She has to go from one end of her school to the other in less than 4 minutes...3 times!!

The new kitty is a pain in the tooshey...Pearl is a being a good host and Meg (she was named by the Kitty Committee at school in less than a half hour:rolleyes:) is full of piss & vinegar...though Dude scares her:laughing:

That is my update...I missed the girls terribly yesterday...I need a job!!

Jen - I think you may be in for a wild ride to your hotel. :rotfl2: Apparently there is a Ranger game tonight as well as the concert. My bosses have houseguests who are going to the concert. Think they will be back before I arrive at work in the morning? :rolleyes1 :rotfl2: DS said they were already talking about the traffic on the news at 7 AM. :scared1:

And everything that you wrote above is why I just renewed my Celebrations subscription! ::yes::

:wave2: Lindsey. Lots of :wizard: that Austin stays put for another few weeks.

Forgot to tell you all about my lovely morning at work, I broke my little toe again :sad2:

Ouch! That's a tough one to work with too. :( Hope it feels better today!

How many are up for an exchange??

We are!

Have fun! Hope traffic surprises you and get you to your hotel quickly before the craziness sets in.

Good afternoon, DDA!

Wow, things sure get quiet around here when school's back in session. Plus, Kristi's FIL arrived today so I won't need to watch their kids much anymore. He's moving in with them for awhile as a help to both sides. The kids are really excited as they've only gotten to see their "Lolo" for a few days once or twice a year until now. I'm hoping that it works out well for all of them.

Well, I think the laundry and garage sale things are calling my name. Guess I'd better get to them. blech. :upsidedow

Beth I have really enjoyed the Celebrations magazine.

Theresa sounds like the girls are off to a good start!

Jen I hope you do not get caught in traffic, sounds like it could get a little hairy out there!

Our schools are suppose to start Monday. They have a meeting tonight & hopefully all will go well or else they are going to strike. The kids might think this is wonderful but not when that means they would get out later next year.

Tammi you must be busy with work, hope to hear about your trip soon. You as well Marci, I am living through all of you right now!

Stephanie and Terry - I have another DIS friend who will be on your Barcelona- US cruise next year. Actually... I may have two! Anyway, I will have to "introduce" you all!

Can't wait to "meet" them!!!

After we heard about the CM who died at Indiana Jones, I asked my kids where the stuntman was from in our show..they said Bulgaria. I just saw a Youtube of him & that was the guy we saw less than a few weeks ago. It is so sad.

I spoke with my mom last night, she sounds much better, more like herself. Just waiting to hear from the Dr's on her testing.

I sent out pictures to everyone who requested, they are on their way.

Janet,,,I can feel your pain. I have broken both of my baby toes a few times. No fun.

Bernadette,,,your pictures are awesome. Loved looking at them.

Jen ,,,have a fantastic time!!!

Getting together with everyone that Saturday Dec 5 would be such fun.

I went home yesterday with a monster of a migraine. Probably one of the worst since it came on so suddenly. Today, it developed into a big sinus problem. Went to the Dr and came home with Flonaise, Afrin, and Claritin. I do have seasonal allergies and she thought this might give me some comfort. Hope it helps.
