I have too much going on today to upload birthday party pictures to Photobucket, but this mornings blog entry has a recap and the Picasa album has way too many pictures, if you're interested. The girls definitely did not disappoint with the cake!

Jennifer - YAY for toddlers!
You still have about 4 months to enjoy them before they hit that dreaded 16-22 mos. stage. I really find that age to be challenging. Then again, it wasn't bad with Princess. It was bad with all of the boys I have had.

Elin - What a beautiful pic!

Zazu and Arabella are getting along pretty well. Aurora doesn't like him. But she didn't like Arabella at first, either. I called our pet sitter yesterday to let her know we are keeping him, so she will have another "charge" while we are at WDW. We also bumped up to daily pet sitting instead of every other day. Better to have her here for a few extra visits since Zazu will still be small.

Elizabeth I posted on a weather thread on the CB the other day and there were people from TX complaining of the heat. If its anything above 56º and pouring rain, I think we need to move.

Bernadette - So what's new with your trip planning?

I have yet ANOTHER stye. Which means there are probably more on the way. It absolutely boggles my mind that there is NOTHING that can be done to treat these stupid things.

Heidi - It is OPPRESSIVE. Yesterday the temp/humidity index was 104. At 9 AM it felt like a sauna, yet the temp was only in the 80's. It's definitely warm.

I hate to spend money to be told to use hot compresses. Uncle1 has an eye Dr. he recommended to me awhile ago, but really, I doubt there is anything else that can be done. I do have some drops that I am using, but my eye Dr. said the drops will just kill any bacteria - they won't make the stye go away.

Well they can't even cure the common cold, I don't hold out hope of them curing styes. Sorry that you get them so frequently and I hope it clears up fast.

Ahh, see I'm thrilled it took them this long to walk! Kyle and I were both 9 months when we were running, and with the girls cruising and crawling so early I feared they were on the same path. At least now they understand the words stop and no, and will maybe listen to them SOMETIMES!

Janet, that was actually my first thought too!

ETA: Then again Elin, if you were just speaking on the apparent too-quick passage of time, I agree. I took you too literally, I believe! Chalk it up to poor multi-tasking, I guess

Indeed, that was my reflection... and get used to the multi-tasking. It comes with motherhood!

I decided to skip the DawnOverTheAtlantic picture this morning since you all got a bonus shot last night...

We are leaving soon to meet Kristin's train. I will check in later on today. Have great mornings, everyone!

Hope you can get rid of the stye soon. I have only had one before & they are a pain.

It is a very sad day in our house. It turned out the Riley was much sicker than I thought and the Vet recommended that we put him down now. His eye was very infected and the tumor was putting a lot of pressure on it. He had actually scratched at it so much that part of the eye was gone Hunter and Colby were with me so we spent some time with him then the boys left the room while she gave him the injection. I think the Vet cried as much as I did. She really became attached to him. While we were saying goodbye she went to her flower garden and picked us a big bouquet. We are having him cremated and will be able to pick up his remains after our vacation. The kids are upset, Hunter most of all since he considered Riley his cat. When we pick up the remains I will bring all of his extra food and fountains etc and donate them to other pet owners. We are done with pets in our home. It is just way too hard to say goodbye.
