I think it's safe to say I have 2 walkers!
The girls have been taking steps for several weeks. They would most often, though, choose to crawl unless they were going very short distances. True to form, Avery wanted nothing to do with it when you tried to get her to, but did fine when she wasn't paying attention. Elise kept steadily increasing her distance over the last while. I had JUST told Kyle, "You know Avery is just going to take off, because that's what she does. Elise will do something first and work slowly but surely at it, then Avery comes from behind and just takes off". Sure enough, yesterday my girl who went all jelly-legs on me unless SHE wanted to go somewhere decided she was a walker. She probably crawled 3 times all day? Then today, Elise must have realized she needs to keep up, and they've only been crawling when something is REALLY urgent, like chasing after the dog.
This is one of my favorite parts of child development hands down, because everything comes with such effort and concentration! They're awfully cute (and entertaining), if I do say so myself
