I am the SOLE owner of my house!!!!!!

Closing is over. On the 23rd the checks will get mailed out to pay off the 1st and 2nd mortgages, and the money I need to buy XH out will be wired into my account. A new deed will be issued in my name only and filed with the county.

You have no idea what a weight off of my shoulders this is.

Tammi, that is such wonderful news! :cheer2::grouphug:

You must be so thrilled to have this over!!! I am so happy for you!

I think it's safe to say I have 2 walkers!

The girls have been taking steps for several weeks. They would most often, though, choose to crawl unless they were going very short distances. True to form, Avery wanted nothing to do with it when you tried to get her to, but did fine when she wasn't paying attention. Elise kept steadily increasing her distance over the last while. I had JUST told Kyle, "You know Avery is just going to take off, because that's what she does. Elise will do something first and work slowly but surely at it, then Avery comes from behind and just takes off". Sure enough, yesterday my girl who went all jelly-legs on me unless SHE wanted to go somewhere decided she was a walker. She probably crawled 3 times all day? Then today, Elise must have realized she needs to keep up, and they've only been crawling when something is REALLY urgent, like chasing after the dog.

This is one of my favorite parts of child development hands down, because everything comes with such effort and concentration! They're awfully cute (and entertaining), if I do say so myself :upsidedow

Jen - congratulations to the girls! I hate to break the news to you, but you now have toddlers!

Vicki-congrats on your great deals at Kohl's. I had a 30% off coupon too. I thought it expired Sunday but when you said you just used yours I found mind and used it online. I got free shipping and like that I can make returns at the store if I have to.

I am so excited!!! Just booked the Pirate & Pals Wishes Fireworks Cruise!!! It looks like so much fun. Captain Hook & Mr. Smee see you off & then you watch Wishes & the EWP. There is another character meeting after you come back to the CR dock (presumably Peter Pan).

I am not telling the kids & can't wait to see the look on their faces! I don't think I will tell Dana either!;)
When are you doing this? Maybe I should start praying for a dry night that night now.;)

Early reports indicate that Little Cat's name may actually become Zazu. :rolleyes1
Love that name!!!

:woohoo:

That's what Allears has it listed as..the old grand gathering cruise. It's now available to anyone. I was hoping to get it on our actual birthday but 2 days later is good enough!:)
When is your birthday?

Much to my chagrin, DH has now started USING the Sony camera he was supposed to be getting rid of. So whatever.
:scared1:I can't master the one I have. I want to buy a flash before the trip to the Cape. And I want a bigger Gorilla pod.....and I just bought a new scanner so I can scan some old slides to make my MIL a book for her 90th bday in September....

Wow! Congrats to Avery & Elise!!!!:woohoo::woohoo: Lizzy was almost 18 months. She wouldn't hold our hand. I finally got her a walker as she was 19 months when Joe was born so I was getting anxious. She is double jointed-I think a bit too limber to be confident walking.

Good morning. :)

School's Out for the Summer!

Jennifer - Wow! It seems to me that Elise and Avery were just starting to scoot! And now they are toddling around. :teeth: How cool!!

I had to share the most amazing cloud formation. I have never seen anything like it before!

Tomorrow morning I will drive up to Newport News to pick Krisitn up at the Amtrak station. Then she can spend the rest of the vacation with us. :)

Good Morning. I'm embarking on yet another busy day. We have a Vet appointment for Riley right after work this morning. We're going to get him another antibiotic and steroid shot. He looks skinny and his head is looking strange now, but he still seems to not be in pain and he is eating, using his box and sucking up lots of attention so we'll keep treating him. I also need to finish packing, cleaning the house and grocery shopping for our trip. I would like to be 99% ready today as I'd like to avoid stressing tomorrow. The boys were very excited last night that they were going to get to sleep in. The joys of being young again.

Jennifer - Wow! It seems to me that Elise and Avery were just starting to scoot! And now they are toddling around. :teeth: How cool!!

Ahh, see I'm thrilled it took them this long to walk! :rotfl: Kyle and I were both 9 months when we were running, and with the girls cruising and crawling so early I feared they were on the same path. At least now they understand the words stop and no, and will maybe listen to them SOMETIMES! :rotfl:

Janet, that was actually my first thought too! :)

ETA: Then again Elin, if you were just speaking on the apparent too-quick passage of time, I agree. I took you too literally, I believe! Chalk it up to poor multi-tasking, I guess
