Colby's leg seems to be fine now :confused3:cool1: I have no clue what it was, but I'm thankful that it doesn't mean a trip to the doctors

I know most of you have kids, but would you suggest John and I do Chef Mickey's?

The boys and I are tossing around ideas for the trip. right now we are leaning towards a week in the Tree House Villas before the cruise (our points have to be used prior to the cruise) and a week or so at Universal after the cruise. We'll probably do SeaWorld in there too. We already have US tickets so no cost there. We'll use our points for our Disney stay so no extra cost there. The kids think this sounds awesome. Harry Potterland should be up and running by then.

I forgot to say congratulations to Katie! That sounds like a lot of work but work that I would enjoy. It takes quite a lot of dedication for someone her age, though.

Ditto about Clair!

Thanks, Beth. It was a huge commitment for Katie. However, it really exposed her to literature that she wouldn't have chosen to read for herself. I asked her last night, if she had a favorite book out of all the books she'd read, and she thought for a moment, and decided that her favorite book in the world is "The Voyages of Dr. Doolittle." She never would have chosen to read that book if not for this challenge.

I'm hoping that seeing Katie be honored for this will encourage Jacob to try for it, as well. Not to mention the twins.

Deb - I hope you are feeling better, now. I also hope that Colby's leg feels better. Congrats on booking the cruise! I really want to try cruising, and I think I almost have Alan talked into an Alaskan cruise in the next year or two.

Becky - Sorry about the throat! That's just irresponsible parenting, in my opinion!

Theresa - Sorry about the interview! My prayers are still going up that a job comes your way.

On that note, could y'all spare some good thoughts for Alan? We just got word that his company will do another round of layoffs while we are in Disneyland. Yikes! He's pretty sure he's ok, but you just never know.

Vicki-hope the fires are under control soon!

Deb-Hope you're feeling better soon. Hope Colby was OK today and enjoys his concert tonight!

Debbie-Aubrey is so cute!!!

Elizabeth-hope the advil worked!

Is the rain in Florida from a tropical storm? I can't believe how much they are getting, they may need a boat soon.

And is that crappy weather headed our way?
I don't think it was. The storm had no "heart" so it couldn't really develop into a tropical storm and there just wasn't anything pushing it out of the way.

So I am home from work today, as I suspect I have strep throat. Which I probably got from the girl at camp that had it whose Mom did not want to take her home. Gotta love it. I can not get into the doctor until tomorrow morning. We only have a half day at work tomorrow so I will probably end up taking that off to since I will be at the doctor during the time I should be working. I wonder how many other kids and adults ended up sick. Sorry I am a bit bitter about it.

Do any of you have a favorite adult pajama pant pattern? If so what is it? I want to make some pajama pants as I can not seem to find any I like. Plus they seem to be long enough in the store and then are too short.
Hope you're feeling better. Sorry about the inconsiderate Mom. I'm sure the poor kid was miserable too.

I used this pattern and it was pretty easy and they actually fit me-I compared the pattern to a pair of PJ pants that fit.

I made a pair of men's too for my friend's 15yo son but they were more work with a fly and drawstring-which required 3 buttonholes-one for the fly and 2 for the drawstring.

I am getting old! (But, as my grandfather was fond of saying, it beats the alternative.) I did remember that Daniel was just a couple of weeks younger than Miles, but for some reason I thought Lizzy was a year older.
Girls are just more mature.:rotfl:

I know most of you have kids, but would you suggest John and I do Chef Mickey's?
I would go for breakfast (but I prefer Crystal Palace). I didn't care for dinner there. They had prime rib which I don't like and salmon which I also don't like-I think I liked one pasta dish. I really like dinner at Crystal Palace too. I also really LOVE California Grill for dinner at Contemporary. I always make a reservation for when they first open and then I don't feel out of place not getting dressed up-I wear a polo rather than just a T. I love the atmosphere up there!!!

Elin how was that banquet last night?

The banquet was good, the concert was even better! Luncheon and all meetings today were also fine. :)

We just got back from a 2-hour coach tour of historic Lynchburg, VA that included two families who opened their homes to our group! :goodvibes

Four of us are headed out to a local spot for dinner and good company. Hope you all have good evenings too.

If it wasn't a favorite of Rileys I would skip it. But beings you have never been, I say give it a try!
