Glynis sorry you are in a funk.

Congrats to Katie. :cheer2:

Wonderful news about Clair, :yay: hopefully she will surprise the doctors and will be able to go home sooner then what they expect.

I forgot to say congratulations to Katie! That sounds like a lot of work but work that I would enjoy. It takes quite a lot of dedication for someone her age, though.

Ditto about Clair!

You must be getting old. Anne Marie's Daniel has a birthday coming up very soon too!

I am getting old! (But, as my grandfather was fond of saying, it beats the alternative.) I did remember that Daniel was just a couple of weeks younger than Miles, but for some reason I thought Lizzy was a year older.

Well, Miss Beth... it appears I too am in arrears!!

Thanks, Elin!

Obviously I am here. The drive down was just gorgeous. It took me through horse country, vineyards and up into the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is a crystal clear day here so everything was so pretty. Very relaxing trip.

My Finance Committee meeting was as contentious as I feared. There are some greedy and angry women in our midst!

But that is over and I am looking forward to the banquet tonight. I will check in later on and let you know if everyone "made nice" or was rude. ;)

I'm glad that you had a good trip. I hope that the banquet is lovely!

Chris got an update on the baby. She is still in the hospital in a medical induced coma. She is intibated. Apparantly 2nd degree burns are the most painful as higher degree burns kills the nerves :confused3. Once she begins to heal the will bring her out of the coma and transport her to the Shriners hospital. It sounds like a very long healing process.

We still don't know exactly what happened, but I'll fill you in once we find out.

pixiedust: for that poor, little girl!

Good evening,

Why oh why am I always running behind with trip preparations? You'd think I wouldn't be since I got such a head start.

Beth - Happy Belated Birthday

I hope Kristine and Kelli are managing to keep dry whille still enjoying their trips, looks like we have some rough weather to travel through this weekend. :scared1:

Thank you!

I hope that your preparations are going smoothly and you have a magical trip!

/
Debbie, good luck getting the last minute prep finished! :wizard:
From their posts on Facebook it sounds like both Kelli and Kristine are getting drenched on a daily basis. Kristine said she has never seen rain like yesterday.

That pic of Aubrey is TOO CUTE!

Glynis - Congrats to Katie!

Deb - I hope Chris's niece continues to improve! :wizard:

We are headed to the zoo today. I slept funny and I have a horrible crick in my neck/shoulder. Guess I'll take some Advil and get on with it.

DS has his impressions done for his new retainer today. That should be fun. Not.

10 more school days. 6 regular days, and 4 early dismissal "exam" days.

I hope you enjoyed the zoo and that the Advil worked for your neck! My neck is bothering me today, too.

Good Afternoon.

I didn't make it into work today. I woke up soon after going to bed last night vomiting. I think the tummy is better now, but I'm feeling achy and I've got an annoying little cough. I'm sure that the lack of sleep I've had this week just wore me down. Since I only got a couple hours sleep before 4 AM I made myself stay in bed until noon. I'm hoping the extra sleep will go a long way. I must say that I had some very strange dreams though.

Colby was up during the night with an upper leg pain and he was still complaining this morning as he was in "misery". H we to school because his concert is tonight and he didn't want to miss it.

:wizard: Feel better! Colby, too!

I am sorry you and Colby aren't up to snuff...hope you both feel better quickly.
So I am home from work today, as I suspect I have strep throat. Which I probably got from the girl at camp that had it whose Mom did not want to take her home. Gotta love it. I can not get into the doctor until tomorrow morning. We only have a half day at work tomorrow so I will probably end up taking that off to since I will be at the doctor during the time I should be working. I wonder how many other kids and adults ended up sick. Sorry I am a bit bitter about it.

Do any of you have a favorite adult pajama pant pattern? If so what is it? I want to make some pajama pants as I can not seem to find any I like. Plus they seem to be long enough in the store and then are too short.

I have a pj pant pattern that I haven't used yet....as soon as I do I will tell you whether I like it or not:rotfl:

Gotta love idiot parents.

Good Morning-I've been up since 5 AM to go to an interesting job ummmmm.....cattle call. I didn't get past the first interview....they said I talked too much..:rotfl2:It was more I wasn't as precise as they wanted...oh well.

That does not sound fun! I sure hope that you find something soon.

I found out through the grapevine that almost every aide in the school district has been interviewed for the job that I was interested in. I guess it really was a case of having enough interest internally that they didn't even need to look at us "outsiders."

I understand the bitterness. I've seen too many sick kids sent to preschool (who in turn infect the rest of us).

I haven't sewn any adult pajama pants...sorry!

I am sorry:hug:I thought that might be the case.

I hope I get something soon also....I don't know that I can handle being out of work much longer.

It is a horrible time to be looking for work, huh? Every day our paper seems to have another headline about big job cuts. There won't be anyone left here soon. :sad2:

Deb, I hope you are feeling better!

Becky, I am sorry you are sick. :guilty: I LOVE Joe Boxer brand lounge pants. Have you tried the men's Joe Boxer pants at Sears? I have short little legs so they would be WAY too long on me, but if you are looking for long those might be good!

That does not sound fun! I sure hope that you find something soon.

Theresa, sorry the interview didn't pan out.

Beth, sorry they didn't phone you for an interview.

The zoo was good. Princess and her friend had a good time. :) My neck feels pretty decent - guess the Advil helped.

Colorado has historically been in front of any trend.....and supposedly the job market is looking up around here. :rotfl: I am not sending as many resumes out as I was a month ago.

I do feel lucky that I am getting to the interview part of the process as often as I am....it could be worse.

Becky I think I would be a little bitter myself. The parent should not had let their child stay while sick  Hope you are feeling better soon :wizard:

I like plaid prints for my jammie bottoms or sweats lol

We did force the leader to take her sick daughter home, however she had been at camp for over 24 hours at that point. The leader knew she was sick and pretty sure she had strep before she came looking for urgent care for her. She was going to take her daughter to urgent care/ER and bring her back to camp.:scared1: I had seen her daughter in some of the sessions throughout the day. We forced her to go home with her daughter. I ended up staying in the same cabin as her remaining girls and other parent so they could stay.

But if I only saw the girl a few times and ended up sick, I can only imagine how many others ended up sick who were around her more.

I hope you feel better and that it is not strep throat

As for PJ's I suggest you look at scrubs. I have an old pair that are way too long for me, they hold up well, are comfy and the tie waistband means you can wear them no matter how much weight you lose (or gain ) You can get all sorts of different prints too.
