Hi everyone. Sorry i've been mia. i've been trying to take it easier and it's not easy to type one handed. i had shoulder surgery two weeks ago today. i started having problems last year and tried pt but it didn't help. i booked the surgery back in january and talked about it then briefly. i'm glad i went ahead and did it. he found a large bone spur with a hook in it, and that was what was causing the pain and lots of scar tissue. the doc went in bore done the spur, shaved some bone and cleaned it all out to make more room. i stayed overnight in a local private hospital where they took excellent care of me. i've been working from home since good friday, but much slower than i usually do. i went in last week to the dermatologist and he had to take something out of my left calf that required two sutures. i get those out next week. so, i haven't been able to take a bath and it's been hard to shower, but trashbags have been my friend, and now my bandages are off of my shoudler, except for steri-strips.
the surgeon said the incisions look good and the x-ray (my sis is the x-ray tech for this group of ortho's) showed that i should have plenty of room for movement. the hardest part comes now with pt. i need to make myself use my shoulder, but it hurts so much that it's hard. he's told me pt will be h e l l, but that if i don't do it and quickly i'll get more scar tissue.
so, i ask for prayers (and enough pain meds) to work through the pt. and that they can fit me in sooner. right now, they're saying i have to wait a week. it's beginning to get depressing, though i know i'm lucky that they think they've fixed my problem. patience is not my strong point.
i'm glad it seems that we are a healthier group now. sending pd to all those who still need some extra tlc.

For the Pt and extra
for great pain meds
Jim is thick headed imbecileHe went around last night again demanding respect from Cassidy and railing on her because she didn't jump when he demanded she get off the computer, without any notice or time to wrap up what she was doing.
I stayed out of it while the were duking it out (words not bodily) but it is very hard for this fixer/make things better to do. But afterward I did talk to Jim about his idiocy (because as I've said before "damned if I do, damned if I don't....so I might as well be damned and do it"). He just doesn't get it and I got myself so worked up that I couldn't fall asleep until almost 2 AM. So I am running a bit behind this morning and it's all his fault.

The first two hours were pleasant today, then the families woke up and decided that swimming was the thing to do
When I left the pools at 2 PM there had to be close to 300 people which is capacity, and I left it in the hands of 4 teenage girls and this is their first real job
I find the entire thing beyond stupid. I have however decided that poor planning on their part does not make an emergency on my part. I am doing much better at removing myself from the situation which is very hard for me, so I guess I'm learning.

and
to everyone else.Marci nice to hear from you, sendingyour way for a good recovery.

I'm thinking about getting a towncar for transfer from MCO to AKL. Last year I took the same flight (arrives in MCO at 12:45) but on a Sunday not a Saturday and I waited an hour for a ME bus as we didn't get on the first one that came-the lines were too long.
I'm thinking Saturday might be even busier.
Anyone have anyone they like?
I've used FL Tours and they were OK.
Ray Transportation. I hope that works since the DIS blocks his company name.
Bernadette - I've used Tiffany with success both times (May 2001 and October 2008) and I know Kristine uses someone specific (that I forget who) that she raves about too..
