Welcome home, Vicki. We missed you! I am glad your MIL is doing better. :goodvibes

My brother is now living in Florida. Chuck & I need to drive a car down for him. He sold it to mom before he moved to Japan the first time, I bought it from mom for $1, and I'll be selling it back to him for $1. We don't know when we are going yet but I'm kind of excited about planning it.

I officially start my new job on Monday. Of course, I've been working in the position for 6 months so it isn't like I don't know what I'm getting in for. We have a lot on our plate right now. The next couple of months are going to be absolutely nuts!

I am sending out a blanket of :wizard: and 's. I have been busy all day..had a meltdown...cleaned the house...and registered Mo for Kindergarten. And lots of other little things squeezed in there as well. And now...

Eric is gone...Mo is gone...Em is almost gone...and Lu is almost ready for bed!!!

My best friends are headed over for a Girls Night In...lots of cocktails, chit chat and general fun!!! We haven't spent time together that has not included our DH's or kids since before Em was born. It is LONG overdue!!!!!

Wishing everyone a fabulous Friday night!!!
Sounds like fun. I hope you are having a great time!

I hear mid-August would be a good time for a Florida trip. :rolleyes1

I'm glad you are back home, and that MIL is doing well!

Let's see if I can catch up through the migraine fog:

Deb-hope you all had fun at Six Flags!!

Debbie-have a good day off

Elin-hope you are able to come up with an appealing car ad!!

Congrats on the new tickers Jen and Chanon!!

Tammi-I am sorry you are going through this crap still, if you want we can hire somebody to rough him up:3dglasses:rotfl:

Theresa,,,I hate migraines so much. I feel so lost when I get them. Things were actually much better this week, I was able to block out smells but yesterday they cleaned and I had to leave work with an hour to go. I thought all of the work was done on the gym floor at work, so when I went in today, I thought, work, work and then maybe go out to eat with Stephanie for the evening, have the drink of the day and then go home. But that was not the case. They had painted the gym floor earlier this week and today they were putting the epoxy finish down. I could smell it and was trying to still do my work, but I started to get a tingling sensation in my lips and the migraine started as well. It was getting intense and then a parent came to pay her bill and the perfume she was wearing was so intense that I had to leave. Then it was another comical event of driving home. I have had this happen before. I got behind a car that really needed to get their oil changed---months ago-- and then a farm vehicle that was hauling the most offensive smell....fertilizer. I got home and slept for over 5 hours. My stomach is still a little funky,,,lots of crackers but I will be ready tomorrow to register for the Magic Meet. :thumbsup2

Here's something I threw together, your theme brought this to mind, maybe you could center this with instruments around it?

Debbie,,,,that is fantastic!!!!!!

Good morning! :)

Happy Saturday.

It's going to be beautiful here today, with highs nearing 80. Nicholas has a 9:00 soccer game and then I need to come home and mow the grass. I also should squeeze in some laundry today as well.

GOOD MORNING DDA!!!!!!

Yes, I am up early. Gotta be ready to sign up and pay for Magic Meet. :goodvibes:cool1::thumbsup2

oo i cant believe i did not tell you guys! A friend of mine and i just booked a 9 night caribbean cruise for the summer--we got a really good deal and no airfare as its out of baltimore!

I've looked at cruises out of there as it isn't a bad drive. I haven't seen any great deals though. Which cruise and which dates?

I'm back from Eagle River. My mother in law is doing so much better. They have changed her meds. Her entire left side is bruised big time. She bruises easily.

I'm glad that she is feeling better and that you could find the time to spend with her.

That is an important trip ;) You'd better get planning. Maybe you can take your nephew to Disney :cool1:

Make sure to take some time for yourself. I can attest that too much work isn't good for mental health.

:wizard::wizard:For Terry and Theresa. Get rid of those migranes

Good Luck everyone with paying for the Magic Meet:wizard::wizard:

We had a fantabulous day yesterday. The weather was gorgious, not too hot, but not too cold either. The crowd levels were very manageable and we only wait 30 minutes for a couple of rides, the rest work near walk on. We ended up with 3 adults and 8 kids. Everyone got along so well. Some of the kids had never done roller coasters, but we've got them hooked now :lmao: Other than the super expensive food it was a wonderful trip. Six Flags counter service places makes WDW prices look cheap :scared: We are ready to go back for Mother's Day. The ride is just about 2 hours so it isn't horrible at all. We are tired today since we didn't get to bed until midnight after running full blast all day. Hopefully we can squeeze naps in after the bowling banquet this morning/lunch. The kids will bowl with the cops, then we have the banquet. I have to be at work at 3:45, but I did have 2 entire days off and I have tomorrow off too. My mental health is much improved :cool1:

Glad MIL is doing OK!

Sounds like fun. I hope you are having a great time!

Robyn, hope you had fun with your friends last night! :)

The neuropsychologist and I had a very long chat yesterday. I am going to schedule DS for testing as soon as I get an e-mail with the Dr's availability. 5 years ago DS was hospitalized with a lesion in his brain due to something called ADEM. Back then, the neurologist kind of glossed over it, like it wasn't a big deal. Well, not a big deal in the sense that it wasn't a tumor. Apparently it may have caused permanent cognitive impairment. I was Googling last night and it seems that this occurs in about 4 in every million kids. I watched a lecture from a symposium on "Rare neuroimmunological disorders". The good news is that the Dr. is familiar with things that have damaged white matter in the brain, even though he hasn't seen very many ADEM cases. I think he is my hero. Hopefully this Dr. will be able to sort things out and develop an effective plan of action. If DS doesn't really have ADD then we should stop treating him for ADD.

Theresa & Terry hope the migraines are a thing of the past soon. :wizard:

I hear October is a fine time for a drive. Or, does he need it sooner? ;)

I know there is lots to work out, Vicki. But I also know you are going to love this new job on a permanent basis. I hope all the logistics are easy to wade through for you and Chuck.

Amen, sister. There are a lot of us on here that are in the same boat, aren't there? :sad2:
