Thanks for indulging a bragging mom. I will pass along your congratulations to Matthew. Theresa, this high school never gives letter grades. Your grade in class is whatever your average ended up being 0-100. When they compute class rank, they convert to quality points (I think using the 4.0 scale) and weight the honors and AP courses higher. They don't provide that information to the students, though...just the class rank and unweighted GPA. (They do list the formula for calculating GPA in the handbook, but I don't remember exactly what it is.) So, someone could have a higher GPA but rank lower in the class if they weren't taking honors/AP courses.
