Sending a blanket of :wizard: to all that are not feeling well & to their little ones

There are an awful lot sick right now -- PD all around for those who are sick!

It has been so gorgeous here -- cool in the morning and warm in the afternoon. It's making everything bloom, so I've had a headache since Sunday, and Andrew is having a hard time as well. At least if we had to cancel our ski trip, we have beautiful weather here. We are members of the Dallas Zoo, so we went there yesterday. It was beautiful.

I'm enjoying working from home today and pretending I'm a SAHM, currently doing laundry, email and watching Live with Regis and Kelly. It's the little things... :goodvibes

Nic Cage is on Live right now and said he is filiming Fantasia in NY right now. The Disney story "come to life." Anyone heard of this?

I wish I could comment more on all of your going ons, but we are getting ready for breakfast (yes I know it is 10:00 but we are on vacation!):cool1:

I did try to catch up a bit, but I just can't reply to everybody. Know that I am thinking about all of you going through problems with the teens, moving, sickness, parents passing (I still miss my Mom), planning trips! YAY!

I am loving my vacation. I will upload some pictures today. The island is beautiful. The resort is gorgeous. We soooooo needed this. My entire family just needs a break.

We rented bikes yesterday and then went to Publix and Wal-mart. My DGS has a new jacket and we have groceries. :goodvibes My son also now has swim trunks. :goodvibes

They are going bike riding. I'm going to walk around the resort and take pictures. Then I'm going to sit on the rocker on the porch and watch the Apprentice. :cool1: Gotta love wi-fi.:goodvibes :goodvibes

Breakfast is over, my DD is starting a load of towels and we are on our way. TTYL DDA!!!:hippie: :hippie: :hippie:

I think you are right on the money with this one. Alan and I were just talking about that last night. He went with her to a daddy/daughter picnic at our church on Saturday and told me she was just like the Katie we know and love. So, we're going to try to do a lot more one on one time with all the kids. Somehow we'll find the time.

I also think that she is hitting puberty in earnest now. She just doesn't seem to be able to handle her emotions very well.

Yup, trying to figure out hormones and having to share mom and dad one more way will do it.

Will you please tell Katie that I her eye that she made me on my computer desk so I see it and smile every day?

Guess I'm the oddball, as I enjoyed all the moving we did when I was young. Of course I didn't have any real close friends and never tried to make news ones at the new schools either. What can I say, I was/still am a loner.

You are an oddball...but so am I...I didn't really know to love or hate the moving (I am too young to remember the huge moves). But I've got wanderlust in my veins....I feel the need to move often. But I didn't hate leaving old schools and going to new ones (except one where I took on the science teacher the second week of school....I was soon at my old school:rotfl2: )

Wow! Where is everyone??? I take off for a couple of hours to make some Shamrock cookies, and everyone leaves??? Are you all out hunting for leprechauns?

yummy....you are so the cool mom!!:goodvibes

I forgot to tell you all Abi tried the Angel Food Cake last week and asked me why I didn't get more and make it? Turns out she likes it!!:lovestruc

First thing this morning I had a pack of gum go through the wash. Some baby oil and scraping with fingernails got the gum out. Last load of the day had some sort of chocolate in it which is now on every item that was in the washer and it went through the dryer :headache: I'm hoping that just rewashing will get it out as it is on my guard suit and shorts as well as many other items :sad2:

it was not your day to do laundry:hug:

I am sorry Nick had a meltdown.

Just have to share this with y'all.....TIMOTHY JUST ROLLED OVER FROM HIS BACK TO HIS STOMACH! Of course, once he got on his tummy he couldn't get back and so got very angry! Still, I didn't think my baby was ready to roll over! And a bummer too, since he did it so quickly I couldn't grab the camera. Poor Alan, he'll just have to deal with me telling him about it.

:cool1: :cool1:

waiting for it......
And waiting..............

I am ready for 2010. It has to be better then 2009. I am just so fed up with my life. Telling me I have had a crappy year just makes things worse, as it reminds me what has happened.

Dad has a fever of 102 again. They are not sure if it is because his body is trying to heal or what the case may be.

My co-workers sister who has colon cancer went back into the ICU today. This is the 13th day of 30 she has been there. She was also rushed into emergency surgery as she had internal bleeding caused by the surgery to help her.

My Aunt is officially abandoning her family in May and moving to Tennessee.

Maybe I should just run away to a cabin on an abandoned island or the side of a mountain. Or maybe I should just hop in my car and drive coast to coast.

I hope that all of you are well.

I am off to try and study. Hopefully I will be successful.

Just last night I was thinking how nice it would be to go leap forward to next year.

After another strep test and bloodwork, all is still 'normal'. Whatever she has is viral. I'm pretty sure she is going to school tomorrow. As much as I've enjoyed being off for a week, I do need to get back to work. :(

No problem! I guess I should point out that I had the filet, which apparently isn't always served? They had a steak each night, but it varies. That would probably make a difference... but mine was excellent! Kyle's meal (which I can't remember at the moment but I'm sure he could) was great, too!

I was going to ask if you had eaten the filet or the flank steak! I will keep watching fro other reviews of this place too. It could present a new location for a TS meal in October!

So, my latest saga.....Alyssa has been home since Tuesday, the 10th, with a fever. It got up to 103 that day. Strep and flu test negative. Back in on Thursday for bloodwork. Fine. Still getting up to 100.something every afternoon. So tomorrow morning we are going back for more bloodwork. She has a horrible cough, that comes and goes. But once it comes, she goes into some major coughing spells. Other than the cough and fever she is fine. Eats, plays, is active. Mainly she is bored. I did take her to ballet tonight, just to let her get out of the house and do something. Whatever it is, it's got to be something viral and just needs to run it's course. Worst case I think would be viral pneumonia. But man, I'm burning some sick leave.

Poor Alyssa!! Being bored is the worst:hug: Hope there is something that can be done to help her get better quickly.

I am glad you are enjoying your time at home with the boys, Marci. I wish you felt better, but thrilled with your cooperative weather pattern!

Does anyone know, is an AP just like a MYW ticket, in that if you are 9 when you bought it, it still is valid for the year? Nicholas needs one for August but turns 10 in December. I'm sure that's how it is, but I just want validation.

Pretty much--just have to add in the last minute stuff tomrorow night. I am going to buy my tickets today and i have to be packed and ready tomrorow night..i am leaving as soon as i am done teaching on thursday!

:cool1: :cool1:

FWIW... this press release is from 2007, and I have edited it a bit:

The long waited movie live action move adaptation of "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" is going to become a reality. Nicolas Cage will star in a live-action feature film version of the classic tale. Movie fans can expect "Sorcerer" to be a fantasy adventure set in contemporary New York, where a powerful sorcerer is in need of an apprentice. Nicolas Cage has been cast in the role of the Sorcerer.

I am glad it is nothing "serious" but wish you had a better answer than that. I hope she feels better and you can all get your life back to normal!

Yes. You may use it through the expiration, then replace it with an adult AP. That's how we did DS's.
