Does anyone know, is an AP just like a MYW ticket, in that if you are 9 when you bought it, it still is valid for the year? Nicholas needs one for August but turns 10 in December. I'm sure that's how it is, but I just want validation.

Yes. You may use it through the expiration, then replace it with an adult AP. That's how we did DS's.

:yay:

Thanks. :thumbsup2

I'm ordering one this month and then one in the next few months. This way I don't have to pay for everything all at once/together.

WHOA! Big changes afoot:

From the Orlando Business Journal

Celebrity chef Cat Cora plans to work with Walt Disney World in opening a family restaurant at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort this fall.

Disney will own and operate the new restaurant, called Kouzzina by Cat Cora. It will replace Spoodles restaurant at the Boardwalk location.

Cora began working with Disney last year to create a video on demand series on healthy eating. She is a regular on the Food Network’s show Iron Chef America.

Disney said that Cora will create a menu for the new restaurant, which will feature Mediterranean cuisine. The Mississippi native was born to a family of Greek restaurateurs.

Cora is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in New York. She also is executive chef for Bon Appétit magazine. Cora has been a featured chef at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival and at Disney’s California Food & Wine Festival at Disneyland Resort.

Nic Cage is on Live right now and said he is filiming Fantasia in NY right now. The Disney story "come to life." Anyone heard of this?

Yes, I wrote about it about 3 months ago for The MouseforLess Newsletter...Nicolas is, if I remember correctly, the only big name in the movie and it's supposed to be a bit like Enchanted.

WOW! How cool is that? Guess it's a good thing I don't have a great love of Spoodles.

We have always had good meals there and it was on our list for a TS dinner in October. Guess we will have to wait to see when the new place is set to open.

I am curious about how much rehab they will do. The open kitchen idea is perfect for any restaurant she would be involved with.

After another strep test and bloodwork, all is still 'normal'. Whatever she has is viral. I'm pretty sure she is going to school tomorrow. As much as I've enjoyed being off for a week, I do need to get back to work. :(

darn! I think the not knowing really what it is has to be the hardest.

Update from the Orlando Sentinel:

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - Disney World has a new cat in town. Celebrity chef Cat Cora is partnering with the Orlando area theme park to open a new Mediterranean-style restaurant.

Kouzzina, to be owned and operated by Disney, is scheduled to open by fall 2009 on Disney's BoardWalk in the space currently occupied by Spoodles.

Cora, who is the only female Iron Chef on Food Network's hit show "Iron Chef America," grew up in a family of Greek restaurateurs.

She says the new restaurant will feature "time-honored recipes passed down from my ancestors, as well as my favorite Greek and Mediterranean dishes that my family loves."

Marci, my sister actually just told me about that movie last week. It looks really neat!

Elin, I saw the info about Spoodles this morning on facebook, of all places! :) I for one (well, one of a few anyway) am thrilled! Spoodles was ok, but not as great as I wanted it to be. We certainly weren't planning to go back any time soon! I'm intrigued by the new restaurant going in...

Our plans have changed significantly today, several times. We moved the girls to their "big girl" carseats (as some of you may have read) because it's better for them, and I lost the convenience of the infant carrier a LONG time ago when my load became entirely too heavy for one-arming it! :rotfl: Anyway, I put it off for longer than was really fair to the girls because I used the seats for various other things. Well, I apparently forgot some major ones! I need to be grocery shopping right now, but had to stop at my parents to feed them because they can't just take a bottle/sippy cup in the parking lot since their seats don't recline. I am glad I did though, because I have no idea how to shop with them without their seats! :rotfl: I'm brainstorming now. I think in the future I'll put one in the baby bjorn and the other in the seat, but I didn't bring the carrier with me. I'm not sure what I'll do today. Sam's has a double wide seat in the front of their cart (awesome), but I don't need to go to Sam's....

Hey Elizabeth - what was that site or who was the person that I ordered traders from last year? I need a few more and can't remember.

sounds lovely!!!

Here is what I wrote at the end of December about the Sorcerer (please keep in mind that I am extremely limited in what I can write lengthwise)

New Movie Deals Announced

It was recently announced that Jay Baruchel is in talks to be the title role in the live action version of “The Sorcerers Apprentice.” He will join Nicolas Cage, as the sorcerer, in the Jerry Bruckheimer produced film. In a boon for teens everywhere, Miley Cyrus and Raven Symone are set to co-star in the sequel to the 1987 hit comedy, “Adventures in Babysitting.” “Further Adventures in Babysitting” will hit screens in 2010.

It took me FOREVER to catch up with you all today!!!:goodvibes

Hope everyone has wonderful St. Patrick's Days. I hate Corned Beef and Cabbage....my family is Irish and German. I think we will have marinated pork chops.

My baby is doing the Challenger today. When Christa Macaullife (sp?) died in the Challenger accident a group in Colorado Springs worked for years to bring the astronaut experience to all middle schoolers for free. Challenger is now open year long and is open to all middle schools in the region for free.

Goddard students go the spring of their 7th grade year and Abi was thrilled to get her first pick of medical officer. Cassidy was Systems Officer and loved it. I can't wait to hear how my scientist liked it. :lovestruc

My mother just called to tell me she is in line for Haunted Mansion and having a wonderful day at the MK. She doesn't know that she's killing me! ;) Actually, I am thrilled that they are able to take vacations and enjoy them, and I don't harbor any resentment...just a tad bit of envy.

I was in AC Moore today, and I saw a machine called the YuDu that you can use to make your own silk screens. You can use the computer and Cricut cartridges to make the designs. It looked really cool and like a lot of fun. It was $299, though, for the machine. I have no idea how much screens, ink, etc. would run.

i was looking at an online demo of that last week. Looked pretty interesting...although a tad complicated. The initial cost doesn't sound too bad....but I also wonder about all the supplies

I was also wondering how hard it is to do a really nice job with. I'd probably end up with a smeared mess. :rotfl: Plus I can't see me needing to make too make screen print shirts.

I think we were seperated at birth.

You are an oddball...but so am I...I didn't really know to love or hate the moving (I am too young to remember the huge moves). But I've got wanderlust in my veins....I feel the need to move often. But I didn't hate leaving old schools and going to new ones.

i wouldn't mind trying it...i have had bad luck with iron ons...the prob is, to do multi-color designs, you have to separate each layer...and that could get awfully costly
