I really can't give ya any pictures as the wind is blowing so hard.
Also the snow has stoped. :yay:

Stephanie, that stinks that you may have to stay and lock up.

My forearm muscles are killing me.

Sounds like some of you are really being hit hard with this storm. Stay warm, and inside if you can! March came in like a lamb here. I'm not too happy about it, as that means we'll be getting snow late. The year Alan and I were married, we got snow in the middle of June. I'm hoping we don't have a repeat of that!

We had a really nice weekend. I got a great visit with my dad, and my sister and her family. We had the first cook out of the season. The kids were in shorts and sandals. It was so nice!

Nothing major on the horizon for this week. Just need to get to the library at some point, but other than that, nothing much happening.

Kristin just called... apparently the bank is concerned about refreezing and will close at 4:00 today. So we are going to bake some brie in puff pastry and open a nice bottle of wine and do absolutely nothing except plan our beach vacation!

I am so glad to hear that you were all healthy and had a great visit with your Dad, Glynis!

Elin-glad she gets to come home early...

I , too, was wondering how bad the refreezing was going to be---hope its not too nasty tomrorow!

This was posted on another thread. I can't hear it unless I turn my volume all the way up. The boys have no trouble with the sound all the way down. Garrett says a lot of kids use this at school on there phones so the teachers do not hear it :confused3

http://trainhorns.net/sound/

I could hear it if the volume was up about 3/4. The kids could here it over the music they were listening too on mp3 players :rotfl:

Many schools in the area were closed today, but not ours. Of course it hadn't even started to snow at 7 AM :confused3 We only have a dusting now. It is very blustery and cold, but very little accumulations. At least we won't have to make up a snow day that wasn't even needed.

The pool had a few of the kids that were out of school. Apparently parents were comfortable just dropping their kids off and leaving  Those were the kids that wouldn't behave.

My profile says that I average 6.71 posts per day. What does Referrals: 1 mean :confused3

The kids want to go swimming tonight. We'll have to see how quickly they manage to do their homework. Nick hasn't even started yet.

Sounds like a wonderful plan :thumbsup2

Just a quick pop-in. Chuck is taking his nap and I'm going for a stroll on the boardwalk. It is about 60 degrees here right now. It was 45 when we went to Animal Kingdom this morning. We came back early. No real plans for the day. We hope to head to Magic Kingdom for the Spectromagic Parade and Wishes. We had breakfast at Tusker House. We did the Safari and came back to the resort. It was just too cold to really enjoy ourselves. We have a whole week left so we want to just take it easy.

The power outages in our area just dropped from over 11,000 to a little over 3,000 in the past 10 minutes! Let's hope they can stay ahead of it now!

That really is impressive! I can't remember how quickly our numbers changed the last few times we've had outages, but I know it didn't seem that fast!

ETA: Though I guess I just realized that obviously on a larger number, a couple thousand wouldn't be as noticeable. Still, the percentage seems very efficient, to someone who really doesn't have a clue! :rotfl:

Which is why I'm sure we won't have school again tomorrow.

Sounds like a nice evening.

My kids are out for round 2 of sledding. Nicholas boots were soaked (I turned them upside down and water ran out of them) so he is wearing mine. I hope he doesn't soak those too!
