Bernadette-Mushu is a great traveller for the World Showcase. Love the characters you and Lizzie saw!! (Bolt is a great movie, we loved it)

Jennifer-I hope your back doesn't give you too much trouble and the chiropractor can help you.

Lizzy wasn't up for Star Tours or RnR and I wasn't up for ToT so we took the boat to Epcot. We went to the character connection but the lines were insane so we went back to UK to see Pooh and Mary Poppins.

We took the boat back to MGM to ride Toy Story Mania again. OH....I forgot to add my stop at the first aid station on our way out of MGM the first time. I had a blister on my finger from Toy Story Mania. I think there must have been a rough spot on my first string.

Boat back to Epcot to find see Aladdin. He & Jasmine were in their coats inside a gift shop.

After that photo I gave Lizzy my denim shirt and had just my rain jacket. I was freezing! We walk around a bit-Lizzy started another mask. We thought about having dinner in China-they could seat us but we wanted to watch the 8pm illuminations first. I was so cold at illuminations that I could hardly take photos.

DSC_0276_2.jpg

After Illuminations we weren't really up for China dinner so we rode Mission Space (extra magic hours). There was this really nervous older woman (alone) riding with us. She was asking me where I got my popcorn bucket (it was empty by now) so I gave it to her. We have about 15 at home-and had this one already. When Terry came on the weekend we bought a bucket (that she kept) and then we bought a box and the box didn't fill up the bucket so we came the conclusion that the bucket was a pretty good value and easier to carry around in the parks.

We rode Spaceship Earth

And took the monorail back to the Poly

I didn't make the cookies from scratch either. I bought some snap and bake cookies. 2 versions of chocolate chip with red or red and white or pink chips and some sugar cookie dough. I also had a tub of regular chocolate chp cookie dough. So I'm making plenty though I won't be going to bed soon which is what I had hoped.

I was just talking to my brother about his trip to Disney next month. He switched dates, so now will be going end of March, beginning of April. Anyway I was asking him when his 45 day mark is & to be looking for his ME tags to come in the mail. He has been numerous times(way more than me)but has never booked a package.

He booked the 4/3 deal through CRO & said that he was told as long as payment was made 5 days before he arrived all would be ok :scared1: I am freaking out for him, I have never heard of this for a package & I am worried that whoever he spoke with did not book the package for him or does not know what they are doing. I told him he better call & find out what is going on. I will be on pins & needles till I know that his booking is correct. He did pay a $200 deposit & is suppose to get the gift card.

I think someone at CRO messed up :confused3

Bernadette you got a lot of character photos! I want to see bolt now :goodvibes

Isn't he cute? I love his arms out stretched and that smirk on his face and in his eyes.

:wizard: Hope you can get some relief tomorrow.

Hope your back is better soon!

Jennifer - Hope your back is better soon! :wizard:

thanks all

Terry & Halley came early-we went out to meet them-it must have been in the 40s but it wasn't raining. From our balcony:

We took the monorail over to Epcot. Terry ran ahead to get fast passes while I took the girls to the Character Connection. I was surprised to see they had switch Chip & Dale with Donald. We also saw Belle near the exit. Terry said there was no wait at Soarin so we went to ride stand by.

We saw this interesting guy along to way:
DSC_0396_2.jpg

The girls were so happy to be together!
DSC_0405_2.jpg

We rode Soarin stand by and then the girls were hungry-Halley hadn't eaten too much at 5am when they left their house and Lizzy can't eat early so we had breakfast at Sunshine Seasons. We rode Soarin on our fast passes. By now it was about 10:20 and I was surprised to see the stand by line was only about 20 minutes and the fast pass return was only about 45 minutes later. We had a great 1st row ride and when we got off the land pavilion was mobbed. The stand by wait was 60 minutes and the queue for the boat ride was out into the pathways. I don't know where all these folks came from so quickly. I guess the cold had kept them away early.

We left the Land pavilion and went to Innoventions. The girls and Terry had a blast making Velcro frogs then we got a pass for the Kim Possible thing.
DSC_0414_2.jpg

Lizzy & I had seen folks doing it on Thursday and it seemed like they were going from country to country. Our mission was only in Mexico. It was pretty cool-things in the country light up and do things but it would have been more fun as a country to country thing.

The girls started masks in Mexico and wanted to go to Canada to do some more there.

DSC_0439_2.jpg

We watched the movie
DSC_0447_2.jpg

Then we walked around Canada. I found a hidden Mickey on the totem.

DSC_0455-1.jpg

Lizzy really wanted to ride Mission Space with Halley but she wouldn't do it. So I sat outside with her while Terry went on with her. It was FREEZING sitting outside but I didn't want to fight with Lizzy to get her out of the playground if we waited inside.
DSC_0460_2.jpg

We had a quick light snack then rode Spaceship Earth. We stopped to show Terry & Halley our Leave a Legacy-they hadn't seen it yet before taking the monorail back to Poly to get ready for California Grill.

The cookies are cooked and CSI is done. I'm headed to bed. TTYL

Bernadette you got a lot of character photos! I want to see bolt now :goodvibes
Lizzy really wanted a special autograph book for our trip and while I was a bit reluctant to make it for her I figured this would probably be the last trip she'd be interested in doing it.

Here is who I/we put in the book:
Crystal Palace:
Pooh
Tigger
Piglet
Eeyore

OHana:
Mickey
Pluto
Lilo
Stitch

Magic Kingdom:
Tink
Silvermist
Fawn (didn't see)
Rosetta (didn't see)
Iridessa
Peter Pan
Wendy (didn't see-probably too cold)
Captain Hook
Mr Smee
Alice
Mad Hatter
Pinocchio
Gepetto (no longer out)
Jiminy Cricket (saw in AK)
Mary Poppins (saw in Epcot)
Clarabelle Cow (no longer out)
Ariel (didn't see-too long a wait)
Rafiki
Timon (didn't see-in AK only now and not out in rain)
Donald Duck (saw in Epcot)
Daisy Duck

Epcot
Mickey
Minnie
Pluto
Chip
Dale
Goofy
Mulan
Mushu
Aladdin
Jasmine
Genie
Caballero Donald

MGM
Sorcerer Mickey
Mr Incredible
Mrs Incredible
Frozone
Buzz
Woody
Jessie (knew had better chance in MK but wanted to put her with her "friends" but she's no longer out to greet at any park)
Green Army Man

AK
Safari Mickey
Safari Minnie
Safari Donald
Safari Goofy
Baloo
Pocahontas

We also saw that signed blank pages:
Bolt
Rhino
Belle
Dopey
Snow White
Fairy Godmother

SO.....we spent a lot of time greeting characters but it was Lizzy's trip and now she has this pretty cool souvenir of her last "child" trip (she'll be a Disney adult the next time she goes). We did really well to see most of the characters in the book.

I told Joe I didn't want to do a book for him in May because we already did a cool one for his 7th birthday trip. He asked Lizzy if she spent more time with characters than rides and she said I don't know but we did spend a lot of time with characters. He immediately said OK lets skip the book. I told him we could do fabric squares and I could make him a quilt and he said he wants a T-shirt. Even easier!!!! I bought some fabric markers already. Now we won't have this huge list of characters to go find-if there is a long line we can skip them. And he won't want to go see the fairies!

I really hope Bolt is still there next January for Emma but I fear he'll be gone already by then.

We headed back to Poly to get ready for California Grill. Halley hated the feel of the skort but didn't fuss about wearing it. She didn't like the seam of the yoke and kept pulling it up to be at her waist. I guess a skirt would have been better.

BLT is coming along as seen from the Monorail:
DSC_0476_2.jpg

Halley is afraid of heights so she stood at the door to the observation deck for a while but did come out eventually.

Soon our table was ready. Sunset was beautiful!!!!!!!
DSC_0501_2.jpg

Terry & I had sushi
DSC_0506_2.jpg

Sunset got more beautiful
DSC_0510_2.jpg

Magic Kingdom is stunning from up here too
DSC_0523_2.jpg

Sorry for the reflections on the glass but still pretty
DSC_0524_2.jpg

Terry had the pork, I had scallops, Lizzy had mac & cheese and Halley ordered steak but didn't eat it. Our server was wonderful. We had just finished dessert when the fireworks started. I had brought coloring cards for the girls and they were really wonderful for the 2 1/2 hour meal.

DSC_0543_2.jpg

It was tough getting photos through the glass but the observation deck was packed!
DSC_0550_2.jpg

DSC_0539_2.jpg

We went for a last look on the observation when we left but it was COLD and the girls were freezing.
DSC_0575_2.jpg

Halley & Lizzy shared a bed that night (Terry had the daybed). Halley got the flu 2 days later. Lizzy hasn't gotten it yet (now 11 days later) so I'm hoping she's safe. Maybe her little virus 15 days prior gave her some immunity.

We just got back. Had a great time!
One bad thing happened on our last day, but I won't go into details yet.

Lots of magical moments for Leighanna this trip! We were so happy for that!

Very windy and getting cold here. All of the snow we left is melted.

I will try to post pictures and a report later.

I don't have time to go back and read what I missed.
If anyone can give me a recap, I would appreciate it!

Bernadette, I see you are starting your trip report. Do you remember what page you started it on? I would love to read it! Thanks!

Bernadette, your pictures are beautiful! Did you use a tripod for the night pics? Mine never turn out.

Welcome home, Tom!!

Welcome home!

I looked back:
Arrival day-page 7 post #91
Day 2 starts page 26 posts #385, 387 & 390
Day 3 on starts page 65 #965

Bernadette love the pics of MK at night.
Thanks!

Thanks! No tripod. For the inside ride photos like spaceship earth I did bump up the film speed setting on the camera but the firework photos are just hand held. Gotta love image stabilization. I do think I have a pretty steady shot though-my DH can't get the same results. I did bring a tripod but never used it. I also have a gorilla pod but only have an SLR one and I really need an SLR Zoom version for my new camera. I just got this dSLR in late October so I'm still trying to learn how to use it. I took about 2,500 photos on the trip so you're only seeing a few. I can't wait to go back to WDW in May with Joe for the flower fest. He LOVES photography so I think he'd be happy with me taking a million photos as long as he can too on one of my old cameras. He's got a really great eye so it will be fun to see what he comes up with.

Good Morning

Can you tell I'm having trouble sleeping?

Becky - :grouphug:

Cute picture Theresa, Cassidy reminds me of my oldest, she always loved having her picture made, is very outgoing and never meets a stranger.

Elizabeth - Hopefully DH will be feeling better soon.

Deb - :wizard: PD for Colby, my oldest fell and hit her front tooth when she was around three, it turned black for a little while but it did heal. I had to answer a lot of questions when I took her to the doctor to have it checked.

Great pictures Bernadette

Welcome home Tom
