DDA Chapter 17

Thanks for the well-wishes for my kiddos. :goodvibes I've never seen so much Amoxicillin in my life, but hopefully it will do the trick (and the boys will avoid diaper rashes)!

Sounds like a lot of fun stuff is going on this weekend...take care DDA!

Tom, wow! You're going to have such a magical trip!

Update from Julie:

I just wanted to let you know that the Dr. finally called and the diagnosis is that Jack officially has a big head. He wants to watch the growth and measure monthly, possibly do another ct-scan in 3-4 months but for now we will just do the OT and relax. We are SO relieved (and we are also calling Guinness World Records :) ).

In the meantime Dave's dad is in the Hospital (it's never dull around here) and they did ct scans and an MRI and discovered 2 abnormalities on his brain. Long story short, they are not sure yet what it is, it may just be an infection. They are keeping him, and Dave is really upset. I will let you know what happens.

My nephew has always had a big head too. They kept a close watch on him for a long time as an infant. I have to say though that I remember another little boy who is now an adult that had the biggest head I've ever seen. I think he weighed over 14 lbs at birth and at least half of it was head. He played football in high school and they had to special order him a helmet that was larger than those in the NFL. At last count the man now weighs over 600 lbs and will probably not live to see 30 years old as he does not take care of himself. 300 would probably be a good weight for him as he will never be a small man.

Debbie -- Happy birthday to your daughter! Good luck with the decision on the party.

Amy - I'm sorry the kids are all sick, but glad you were able to get them all seen. I hope they all take their meds well.

Glynis - I hope Timothy continues to improve.

Deb - Those are terrific grades! You were so thoughtful to do the party.

Vicki - For the right decisions for you. :grouphug:

The firefighter wreck sounds terrible. Prayers to them!

We ran errands after work, and have been working on Andrew's homework. We just thought to try his cleats on for his baseball tryouts tomorrow, and of course, they don't fit. :upsidedow I guess he can wear his soccer shoes. I'm glad he's finally growing (and that we have a friend that works for Nike).

I have WW at 7:30 in the morning, then Andrew's tryouts, then basketball games.

Have a good Saturday everyone.

Thanks for the dittoable post, Marci!
I hope try-outs went well!!

Becky I swear you must be Eeyore with a bad luck cloud hanging over your head always. :wizard: for everything that is going on in your life.

Becky - :grouphug:

The boys had a great time. I am exhausted!

Sounds like good mornings Deb, Glynis and Tammi. :goodvibes
Julie and her family will continue to be in my prayers:grouphug:

We got to Plato's 15 minutes after opening and it was wiped clean:rolleyes:

We did find a couple of things at ARC: 2 shirts for Abi, a pair of jeans for me :cool1:

We are on the hunt for a converter box....and we aren't the only ones....only one at Target...for $70:upsidedow

Tom very nice outfit and t-shirts, and cute journal.

Hi Elizabeth. For some reason I thought you wouldn't be back until tomorrow.

We are done with all of our crazy running around. Alyssa had a great tea party. She learned how to be a proper lady and they actually made tea. I don't think any of the girls drank it though. They decorated hats too!

I was going to make a meatloaf for dinner, but that will be for tomorrow now. It's too late to get started, and I'm too tired. I picked up some cooked shrimp at the seafood counter, so we'll have shrimp cocktail, corn (Alyssa's choice) and salad. I've never seen so many people at the grocery store. Everyone must be stocking up for their superbowl parties tomorrow.

I just got home from lunch/early dinner with grandma--There was just an update on the news on the accident yesterday

The firetruck was responding to a call (with lights and sirens) and was making a U-turn...a pick up truck was trying to passt he firetruck on the left and collided..The pick up then hit the people walking to the disney on ice show. They reported a 3 year old was killed...another 3 year old has two broken legs....The pick up truck driver was driving on a suspended license. The pick up driver is facing some charges as the investigation continues.

I just feel so bad for teh family..as well as my firefighter family--i knwo this is absolutely killing them.

Thanks for keeping them in your prayers

Evening everyone! Sounds like you all had a pretty busy & enjoyable day.

We almost made it to 50 degrees today, but I was at work & not able to really enjoy it. Oh well Spring will be here soon :thumbsup2

Tom I love the outfit & t shirts, you are all going to have such a good time!

Theresa sorry Platos was a bust for you.

Jennifer continued prayers for all involved in the accident.

Elizabeth glad to hear the party was a success!

Amy & Glynis glad your little ones are feeling better.

Robyn glad you were able to enjoy some "me" time last night.

:grouphug: & pixiedust: to all I missed!

Tammi - Bring WADS of money to GWL. I mean WADS. Our room was on the 8th floor. When we took the elevator down we had to walk past:
Temporary tattoos, stuff your own animal (like Build-A-Bear), the arcade, ride photos, and Crocs and Jibbitz. On the other side of the hall was the MagicQuest thing (where you buy a wand for the scavenger hunt), an ice cream shop, and a spa for little girls.

You have a wrist band for your room key and water park admission. If you want, you can add charging privileges to some of the bands. DH and I had charging which was convenient for Pizza Hut and Starbucks. The snack and drink prices aren't that bad, but since you can't bring your own food or drinks into the water park it could add up.

I know, I've heard. No on the Magiwands. They can follow someone else around that has one. It will be made clear to them that we are there for the WATERPARK. They will be able to buy one souvenir and that's it. Alyssa and I were already checking out the ice cream pedicures online. ;)

Amy - I hope everyone's ears clear up soon! pixiedust:
I am glad to hear Julie's DS is OK!

Tom very nice outfit and t-shirts.

Tom, more fabulous creations! I hope you guys have a magical trip!!

Jen-all involved will stay in my prayers. What a horrible accident. :sad1:

We went to sunflower market and I got limes 4 for $1.....I am in heaven. :p We also got great veggies and extra stuff for tomorrow and inexpensively. :p :p We then went to our Kmart which is getting rid of their grocery store....more great deals. Except I have no meat. :upsidedow

Cassidy is going to the winter dance tonight and Jim was called into work so it is just Abi and I....we will probably watch Night at the Museum and we rented Waterhorse, but we might have left that in the car.

I should be able to catch up, picture wise, tomorrow.

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

Oh, wait... it isn't morning! Today has been hectic and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for keeping it down today! :rotfl2:

I left the house at 8:15 and I think I saw Tammi at Walmart late this afternoon. (Loved your #86 jersey!!)

That was my last stop after teaching and picking up Kristin from work followed by grocery shopping.

Tomorrow I teach again in the morning and Kristin is making chili and nachos for dinner. So, please be gentle in your postings again tomorrow. ;)

Jen - :grouphug: for you and your firefighter family.

Deb - your aquatic center sounds wonderful.

Tom - GREAT creations!! It is almost time to leave. :yay:

Tammi - sounds like you had a fun day!

Elizabeth - I see you survived your night at GWL with the guys!! ;)

Yes, we went there right after the chili cook-off. Why didn't you say hi?!?!

Elin, your good morning post just COMPLETELY discombobulated me. :rotfl2:

Tammi - We didn't buy any extras. We bought pizzas and drinks for dinner, and I had a coupon for B1G1 Free ride photos so I bought one. I made it clear on the invitations that the boys were welcome to go to the arcade, but I would not pay for it. I gave DS $20 to spend on tokens. Most of the boys would have been happy to just stay inthe water park the whole time. I think there is a little variance from Lodge to Lodge, but ours had plenty of stuff to keep them entertained.

What a great set of pictures, Miss Elizabeth!! DS looks so happy in the first one. It looks like DS has some great friends. :goodvibes

DS was so happy to win enough arcade tickets to buy his little "Family Guy". I hate that show. I can't believe they let that sort of stuff air on regular TV! :scared:
His eyes were so bloodshot when he got out of the water - not sure how much you can tell in the pic, but he looked petty rough. :rotfl2:
