Vicki, Follow your heart with Becky. It will be hard, but bite your lip before you say anything. Let others around her say their piece but you keep mum.

Hal and I were going crazy when Guenna was going with this one guy cause he was such a jerk. We really thought he was being abusive but could not pinpoint anything. It took her brothers to keep harping on him and she finally admitted he was being abusive. It took her friends to really get on her and she finally told him to hit the highway. It was all I could do to be civil when he was around. I really wanted to give him the same kind of abuse he was giving my daughter.

I even went to see his mother and she agreed with me but even she could not convince Guenna. Love is so very blind.

If all else fails, be there when he finally does the one thing that stops her world because she will need you then.

I am always amazed that no matter what "thing" one of us is going through...another DDA'er has been there done that and can give us such wonderful advice.

We went and got our membership and ID's for the new aquatics center. They even gave us the corperate discount as we "think" that the Town of Hartland will be getting a corprate membership and school employees will be included. She did not want to have to change the membership later so gave us the discount now. That was nearly a $200 discount. The monthly family membership is now less than our DVC dues and we can use it year round. Chris and I also get 12 free classes each month.

Did I mention that my boss called tonight to see if I was okay? Apparently I was supposed to work tonight. Of course when I called to check my schedule they told me Tues, Thursday and Friday and I wrote it down while I was still on the phone. I had also checked the "schedule in progress" while I was still at work on Sunday night. Boss admitted that he originally had me scheduled for Friday, but then switched me to Thursday. I'm guessing he made the change after I called. In any event I didn't work tonight and I am not scheduled for Tomorrow :angry: Apparently it was not busy tonight and they were fine without me anyway. Why he called at 8:30 PM instead of 4:30 PM is beyond me. So I don't work again until Sunday. I guess I wouldn't have made much anyway...right?

Wow! A lot of stuff is going on.

Tammi - your beach vacation sounds great. The Valentine's dinner sounds just perfect! I wish we had something like that here. Guess I'll be doing something like that here.

Vicki - I love the medal! I think that I want one. Maybe I can convince Alan that I need it to go with my Donald one. Hmmmm. I'll also be praying for Becky. This is a tough situation for families. You want to be supportive of her, but you can see so clearly what she cannot. We went through the same thing with my sister, and it was hard. Just keep the lines of communication open so that she feels free to come to you. Don't ever badmouth the young man. That will just make her feel like she can't come to you when she needs to. I'll keep her (and you and Chuck) in my prayers for a good outcome for this.

Today has been a really odd day. Something is up with Timothy. He wants to be held all the time, and screams and screams when I put him down. I haven't had a minute to myself since noon. Right now, he's screaming in his swing, as I really needed a break. I can't wait for Alan to get home and take over the parenting thing. I'm not sure what Timothy's problem is, but I hope it resolves itself soon. He's been nursing all day long, so I know he's not hungry.

The Av's game was fun...we left at the end of the second period to get home at a decent time for the girls to go to bed.

I have a 2 and 1/2 hour test in the morning/afternoon for a position that is hired solely on test scores...maybe I will do better with that!!

Prayers needed: Chuck's mom is in the hospital again. She had another reaction to her pain meds. They just can't get them right. They keep zonking her out where she has trouble waking up.

Lots of that they can find the right balance ASAP.

Has anyone heard of or taken their kids to a class at Young Chefs Academy? They are all over the country. We have one here in town, owned by a coworker and his wife. In case you are interested, here is info on what it is.

I need prayers for Becky. She is not making good decisions in her life. She is engaged and plans to get married on December 5. This is to a guy who doesn't seem to know how to tell the truth. I don't want to go into details but just pray that she comes to her senses and sees him for what he is.

Oh my. What a situation. You will all be in our prayers. I hope that she sees the reality of things soon.

I hope Timothy settles down and you also get a break.

Sounds like the ear infection ideas may just be it. I hope you can get some relief tonight with Alan's help and the doctor's help tomorrow.

Well, we hit the grocery store and Target tonight and spent more than intended in both places. The grocery store wasn't bad, just bought ahead on a few things plus a few things to take to Kristi's on Sunday. Target was dangerous with all of the clearance everywhere. We needed sodas desparately since they were finally on sale so that was a lot. Then I got snow shovels for me and Terra. Then the clearance stuff kicked in, though I did find several gifts and other things we actually need so in all it wasn't bad. Between 5 cases of sodas, Terra's weight and the other stuff we got the cart was getting pretty darn heavy to push/pull especially after 9pm (too tired).

Now, I think it's about time to head to bed. 6:30 comes awfully early and somehow it got to be midnight without my noticing. Doesn't help that we got home from the store after 10 and then I got talking to Phil which usually takes awhile.

So, for now I'll say good night. With any luck, the baby will arrive tomorrow asleep and I can go back to sleep myself for a little bit anyway.

Got to hit the ground running this morning! This birthday deal is morphing into quite the monster. I had one mom call last night, 2 others e-mailed. One wants to drop off her son's overnight bag here at our house this morning. I hope she times that carefully or there won't be anybody home! I replied that we should just meet her at school to get the bag. Ugh!

I need to print off driving directions. We know kind of where Great Wolf is (across from Bass Pro) but I have never driven TO Great Wolf.

Brownies last night was just a tad overwhelming. I don't know if it was the fact the kids had been out of school for 3 days or that I just was not up to controlling them last night or that my helper was not there to reign in the girls. What ever it was, I got home at 9pm and was in bed by 9:30.

Today is another day that is off our routine. Eric is home and getting ready to leave this afternoon. Once all my daycare kiddos arrive I am packing them up and headed over to my sisters. She has an appointment so I will watch the 4 I have and the 2 she watches. Eric will take Mo to school and then I'll get her and also Emma and Allyson when then get out. I am pretty sure that with all the commotion there will be no naps and a general craziness to the day. Thank goodness I will be ALONE tonight!!

I am off to shower and get ready for the day. Make it a great one!!
