Ingredients

  • 3 cups, shredded frozen hash browns, thawed and drained
  • 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup half-and-half
  • 3/4 cup diced cooked ham
  • 1/2 cup diced green onions
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar
  • Salt
    showlist_icon.gif
    and freshly ground black pepper
Directions

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
Gently press the drained hash browns between paper towels to dry them as best as possible. In a 9-inch pie plate, toss the hash browns with the melted butter into the plate. Press them into the bottom and up the sides to form a crust. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown and starting to crisp.
Meanwhile, in a large mixing bowl, combine the remaining ingredients. When the hash brown crust is ready pour the egg mixture over it and return to the oven.
Lower the oven temperature to 350 degrees F and bake for about 30 minutes until the quiche is light golden brown on top and puffed.
that sounds easy and good

I found this on the pillsbury website
I might have to try this as I think Olivia would eat this.
French Toast Bake
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
2 (12.4-oz.) cans Pillsbury® Refrigerated Cinnamon Rolls with Icing
6 eggs
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup maple syrup
Garnish
Icing from cinnamon rolls
Powdered sugar
1/2 cup maple syrup, if desired

DIRECTIONS
1. Heat oven to 375°F. Pour melted butter into ungreased 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish. Separate both cans of dough into 16 rolls; set icing aside. Cut each roll into 8 pieces; place pieces over butter in dish.
2. In medium bowl, beat eggs. Beat in cream, cinnamon and vanilla until well blended; gently pour over roll pieces. Sprinkle with pecans; drizzle with 1 cup syrup.
3. Bake at 375°F. for 20 to 28 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 15 minutes. Meanwhile, remove covers from icing; microwave on Medium (50%) for 10 to 15 seconds or until drizzling consistency.
4. Drizzle icing over top; sprinkle with powdered sugar. If desired, spoon syrup from dish over individual servings. Serve with the additional 1/2 cup maple syrup.

We've tried this and it is WONDERFUL! I'm thinking of trying it with the orange sweet rolls. Do you think it would taste as good, or would the maple syrup "clash" with the orange flavor?

Nicholas' got his ornament today! Robyn, we love the Mickey! Thank you so much!

Here he is after taking the wrapping off. He really thought he got a box of red lights. He said "what are we going to do with these?"

Ohh sound delicious, thank you.

Anyone have the recipe for Glynis' pot roast? I know it is brown gravy, ranch dressing mix but don't remember the rest. Thanks for any help you can give.

Terry sorry to hear that you came home sick. Is it a cold or do you think its the Norwalk virus? Hope you are feeling better soon. :wizard: :wizard:

After sleeping all weekend, I actually felt good this morning to go to work. I have also stopped coughing. My sinus headache is all gone too. :goodvibes

Hopefully you'll have your water restored soon.

The water Dept. came over to make sure all was ok with the lines & yep they were froze. Gary thawed the line & we now have water :thumbsup2

I did call work & have someone drop off 6 gallons of water for me before I went to work. I wasn't sure how long we would be without.

Like 2 days worth of snow and ice weren't enough, the winds started last night and it is damn cold. I need to put a lightweight coat on.

That is what we had yesterday & last night, way to cold! Wind chills were reading -25. We did get to a high of 8 today!

Alyssa threw up again in the middle of the night. There was nothing to it though, just liquid. I swear, for a split second, I thought she dumped a glass of water on her bed just to fake being sick. Anyway, she is slightly not as active during the day (I attributed it to being tired from being up at night), no appetite (just a few bites during the day), and an upset tummy. We've never gone through the flu here, so would this be something I should take her to the dr. for, or just let it ride it's course? What can I give her to eat that would be easy on the tummy?

I hope Alyssa is feeling better :wizard: Maybe try crackers & I'm sure you know but try to keep her hydrated

Thanks Terra and Lucy!!!!!

I'm so glad that Nicholas and you like the Mickey one!!! I couldn't find anything Disney that I thought he'd like.

I did sleep until 6:15 this morning! Better than usual. I'm about to get ready to go to Wal-Mart. I'll check in later. Have a great day, DDA!

:yay: for getting to sleep in a little! I went to Walmart after work & it was a zoo!

Theresa. Thank you so much for the ornaments I love the Pooh frame!! It's perfect for our family picture this year!

I promise I'll get pics up soon. I still have to post Em's from Olivia.

I have not felt particularly great all day. I will be heading to the doctor's tomorrow as my cheek is swollen on the right side. I look like a lopsided chipmunk. I am hoping that it's just a sinus infection.

Lots of :wizard: for all the sick DDA kiddos. I hope by tomorrow everyone is feeling a bit better.'s
