Here are a few photos from our Hospital stay.

Her worst memories of this visit were when they were trying to get an IV started. She had to have her blood drawn, and since her veins were so hard to get, they would do the finger prick and then squeeze and squeeze to get the blood sample.
She also had to have a clean urine catch to rule out a UTI. She had to have one done using a catheter. This was by far the most traumatic thing I have had to witness, and Leighanna was so scared. I know that Leighanna will not want to go through that again.

Poor Leighanna    Hope she continues to feel better :wizard:

Here are some pics from Oct.

Colby vomited at 1 AM then fell asleep until round 2 at 3 AM. After he was throwing up every half hour to 45 minutes until about 6 AM. He as made it 3 hours now without vomiting, though he has nothing left anyway.

I think that Chris and I may have each accumulated 2 hours of sleep over the course of the night. Chris went to work, but he is hoping to come home early as he is totally exhausted. I'm not going into work tonight as I'm not sure how this virus will play out if and when he starts eating. I'm also not sure if anyone else will catch it. With any luck Colby and i will be able to take a nap this afternoon. We certainly both deserve one.

All these sickies need to go away! Hope Colby is feeling better & the rest of you do not get it :wizard:

I hope you aren't coming down with anything, Robyn.

Cute halloween pictures, Jennifer. Just a few holidays behind, but eh, that's okay! ;)

Anyone have any good recipes for a breakfast casserole?
This is the first Christmas in a long time that we will be home on Christmas Eve, and not rushed on Christmas Day.
I am thinking a nice breakfast might be a good way to start the day!

Any ideas or suggestions?

I got this recipe off the Dis a couple of years & it is a favorite for Christmas morning now(especially Garrett, he keeps asking if I am going to make it). I make this the night before & let it sit in the fridge & then pop it in the oven in the morning. I bought all the makings for it today!

Breakfast Casserole

-Layer a heavily greased pan with some sort of bread. You can just lay sliced bread down or you can use the dinner rolls (much better).
-Whisk a dozen eggs
-Cook a tube of breakfast sausage
-Sprinkle cooked sausage over bread
-Pour whisked eggs over sausage and bread
-Salt & Pepper
-Cover with cheese
-Bake at 350 until egg is cooked and cheese is golden brown

I use dinner rolls instead of regular bread.

Our holiday baking is over! :woohoo: Pay no attention to my cluttered kitchen.

So I am at the grocery store with a loaded shopping cart & I get a call from Katie;s school nurse. She threw up in class. Poor baby...I ran out of the store & got her. She is so pale. She got sick in the car coming home too. :sad2: She's trying to nap in her room now.

Oh my, more sick kiddos! Hope Katie is better soon :wizard:

As a kid, my favorite part of Christmas was decorating the Christmas cookies. Therefore, I loved these pictures!!! It brought back such happy memories.

Loving all the pictures!

Tammi,
Alyssa's hair is so cute!

Katie slept ALL day, boy she must have really needed that because she is not a sleeper at all. She ate dinner & felt alittle sick again but thankfully she has not thrown up again (well yet anyway).

Anyone have the recipe for Glynis' pot roast? I know it is brown gravy, ranch dressing mix but don't remember the rest. Thanks for any help you can give.

Italian seasoning mix & 1/2 cup of water added to what you posted above!

I would love to try some of these breakfast recipes...Opening a tube of ready to bake cinnamon rolls is our Christmas treat.:rotfl:

Italian seasoning mix & 1/2 cup of water added to what you posted above!

Thanks. I thought it was 1/2 cup water and one other dry mix but couldn't remember what it was. I've typed it up in my DDA recipes word document for future reference.

Brown gravy mix, ranch dressing mix, italian dressing mix, 1/2 cup water. Mix together and pour over your roast. Cook in crock pot on low 6-7 hours.

Enjoy!

After sleeping all weekend, I actually felt good this morning to go to work. I have also stopped coughing. My sinus headache is all gone too. :goodvibes

Good news, glad to hear you are feeling better!

I have not felt particularly great all day. I will be heading to the doctor's tomorrow as my cheek is swollen on the right side. I look like a lopsided chipmunk. I am hoping that it's just a sinus infection.

Lots of :wizard: for all the sick DDA kiddos. I hope by tomorrow everyone is feeling a bit better.'s

:wizard: for you too!
