Tammi, it's not quiet on TV! Are you watching the game? Jen??
For the moment, I love Tony Romo!![]()
No, again, I don't get the Pittsburgh game down here. I haven't justified getting the whole entire football package just for the Steeler games.
Katrina is looking for flights to Vegas over the holidays. Her boyfriends father is paying for the ticket. Where do you guys search for the cheapest fares?
I like kayak dot com.
DH watched bits and pieces of the Cowboy game, but since we don't care if they win or lose he wasn't watching all that closely!![]()
Tammi - I bought some stuff that wasn't technically groceries. Since I go to Super Target I roll my groceries and Target shopping into one trip. I got fabric softener, cotton balls, lip balm (because I have never seen anyone blow through lip balm like DS), deodorant, etc. that really cranks up the total. We have managed to get most of the laundry done. There are still some towels waiting to go in the washer.
Thanks Elin!Welcome home, Anne Marie!!! Glad you had a good time.
Thanks Elin!
I forgot to mention Coronado is a really nice resort.
Yesterday turned out to be quite productive, we started out working on the outside decorations, and then went to Brandon's closing cermonies for football. The participation trophies were bobble heads, which we thought were very appropriate as we call it bobble head ball at this age because they look like bobble heads with those big helmets on.![]()
Brandon got his bobble head and a plaque for offensive player of the year,

Here's our display in the front yard,

This may be the last year for the packages, they are plastic and the tabs that hold the tops on are starting to break off.
Here's my indoor tree, I decided to try a live tree this year and I don't think I'll do that again. With the tree being so small the branches aren't strong enough to hold some of my ornaments without drooping, not to mention the time I had trying to get my bubble lights to stand up straight.

I have to finish decorating the dining room today and our decorating will be complete! Then on to wrapping, my trunk is crammed full.
Aack! I didn't even think about that, which was stupidI will see, I've never done this before. Otherwise when it turns into a spreadsheet it will be easy to edit and add them in.
Isn't that cool, though!?
I'm in the middle of washing the cushions covers on my sofa and love seat, so far so good. I was pretty nervous about it, but we are the proud owners of a new pair of Kenmore HE2 Super Plus front loaders so I thought I would give it a try.
They were an unexpected purchase but Thanksgiving night I had a load in the washer and it started making a horrible noise, and then a smell of rubber burning and the washer would no longer aggitate. It was probably something that could have been repaired but due to the fact that it wash an older inexpensive washer we opted to purchase a new one. I went in to work Black Friday and mentioned to a co worker that my washer had dies and she told me I needed to get the pair that was on the 5 hour sale, with the sale price and my discount my final cost for the pair was $577, for a washer and dryer that normally sell for $799 each.
I've been in a washing frenzy playing with my new toy.![]()

Very nice pictures, Elin. Was it windy and cold up there too????
I see it's been a quiet afternoon. I did some grocery shopping too, but not $200 worth! I'm also on load number 4 of laundry. Nicholas had a good time at his football party. They all got really big trophies.
For those of you waiting for ornaments, they have been purchased and hopefully will get mailed sometime this week. I need to find some boxes first.
Glynis - how is Baby Timothy? How are you? I haven't seen him yet, so if there were pictures posted, could someone please direct me to them?
That's the one I was asking about last week before I left. I was thinking of getting it but the reviews didn't make it sound too good. Let me know if you like it.We had a really good shopping day. We were pleased to find wonderful sales and I think I'm pretty much done shopping. I guess I'll know for sure if I ever get around to wrapping. Toys R Us had a great sale on video games. The games that are more than $29.99 were buy one get $20 off the second. I even found a new game called Disney Think Fast for both the Wii(for my brother's family) and for PS2.![]()
That must have been a fleeting momentSorry Jen
