I love kids! You are now the cool, purple-haired piano teacher. I wish you were closer. Miles should have started lessons a couple of years ago.
Beautiful! I had a dream about my grandpa last night who was a World War I vet with a Purple Heart. Maybe Veterans Day was the reason for that dream.
I was checking the USPS site again last night in hopes that a Holiday Casual position would open up. Our main post office usually hires several people to work during the holiday season to help with the increased mail. Nothing had been posted so I almost gave up hope. Anyway the position was posted yesterday. It is an overnight shift so it will have a shift differential as well as very good part time pay. 30 hours per week. I filled out the application and submitted it around midnight last night. I could use all the pixie dust you can spare that I get this job. It's only a 5 or 6 week postition, but it will go a very long way to paying off that new furnace and putting a little money back in our savings. I HATE not having some sort of savings to fall back on.![]()
So I really want dinner at the California Grill and John has agreed. But! and its a big but, if John has to get all decked out we won't be eating there.
So what is the dress code? Suite and tie for the men, dress for the ladies.
Or a little more casual... say dockers and a polo for the men and slacks and blouse for the ladies?

It is NEVER too late! I am not certain where you are in NY but there are some Yamaha schools in the state and one might be close to you. One is on Long Island, another in NYC. But there is this one:![]()

My grandpa was also a WWI vet with a Purple Heart. And My Dad was a WWII vet. So is my FIL. Oddly enough, none of the younger men in my family served in Vietnam.
Thanks! We're quite north of there in the Binghamton area. I'll look around and see if there is one here. Most people I've known have gone to people who teach out of their homes. I don't know anyone currently, but I could probably dig around there, too. Maybe I'll have the older two show him a few things to see if he has enough interest. He is enjoying the beginning of viola lessons.
That is the only other one not near NYC, Beth. It would be a great thing for your older kids to try to teach him a few things!! Good for all three of them!
Thanks! Maybe they could give him certificates for a few "lessons" as a Christmas gift. We're trying to get away from a lot of "stuff" here as they house is too full of it already and money has other destinations.
When is the free dining promotion? I received an email with a pin number...but I am confused (yeah, yeah, nothing new)
Are you talking fall? Or the new promo?
Good morning. It's a holiday here today, but I'm going to work anyway for the overtime. I need a little extra Disney money.
